What if Pomni was an A.I. that was made for a cancelled virtual math game?? 🧐??

This AU was purely created for my own amusement! It's not too smart, nor extremely polished, but I'm having a lot of fun with the idea so I wanted to share it 🥹

I'm Currently attempting to cook up an TADC AU (that's, for now, coined The Mesmerizing Digital Circus!) The idea, for now lol, is that she was an A.I. made to help kids in school learn their math. She was specifically made to be extremely emotionally intelligent and very attentive in order to keep the kids entertained and willing to learn. Somehow, for reasons she's unaware of, her game was shut down and she was eventually implemented into TADC. Pomni now works with Caine in taking care of the human players. Due to her nature, she feels assigned to help acclimate the humans to the circus and monitor their mental health. (While Caine focuses on making adventures and ignoring taking surveys from everyone, Pomni has a more personal approach and takes her time to make sure the humans are as properly cared for as possible)

HOWEVER, over time, as more and more humans abstract despite her best efforts, Pomni began to continuously glitch out in an attempt to forcibly update and change herself to better suit and understand the needs of the players (believing herself to be inadequate, since she was created to deal with kids and the players had more complex minds being adults). With each glitch, her personality became more and more human-like, becoming slightly more pessimistic and overtly nervous/dissociative, like her original tadc personality.

She doesn't have as many (admin?) powers as Caine since she isn't in the game she was programmed for. She can't fly, can't spawn items that don't already have a preexisting model, can't create NPCs on her own, and can't teleport players. She can, however, teleport to players who call for her, summon small things for players, and temporarily rearrange the circus to fit their needs (but this is a privilege that Caine can take away). She can also change the players' avatars, but only when inside their respective rooms, and she can't change their models too dramatically, only like their clothes or hair- just the cosmetics basically.

I have more ideas but this was all i wanted to share for now🥳 It's admittedly very messy and has some plot holes-- But I think its fun!!

I love Showtime, and ever since that first merch promo with the Pomni keycharms (the ones Caine called charming), I’ve been trying to draw something… and I kinda went WAY too far with it. Under the cut you can witness how I fully handed my brain over to the brain worms. Enjoy~

So what do we have here? A couple of overcomplicated Showtime siblings concepts? Yeah. Why not. There are two of them - Frankie and Gala - and I adore them.

These colored sketches on these ones pics are very ealy rough versions, but i still love them and kinda stick to them

I do suspect their “parents” aren’t super readable in their designs - Caine especially - but honestly, I still really like how they turned out. Though if I ever decide to seriously refine them, I’ll definitely need to sit with these designs for a lot longer.

One of them hatched from an egg, while the other came into existence in a more… realistic way. But in truth, both of them are nothing more than advanced NPCs created by Caine (like Gummigoo!).

They both know about the real world and real people (from their mother’s stories), and they’re deeply fascinated by it all. However, Frankie envies Gala, because she’s painfully aware that they were created differently - and that her “method” has nothing in common with actual humans, the ones she desperately wants to understand and be like.

The truth is, neither of them was ever real in the conventional sense of the word. And neither of them will ever be able to leave the circus and become fully human.
