So, I’ve decided to make a giveaway just for fun, to encourage your spirits (and to give me something to do while I twiddle my thumbs and observe your despair)!

What's your safeword?

I myself am fond of the “red, yellow, green,” solution! Red is a complete stop in the scene, yellow is “ease up, but I want to keep going,” and “green” is “continue.” It’s very simple, easy to remember, and often is a lot less silly than a safeword.

Remember though, if you’re in some sort of situation where you can’t speak (such as in the case of gagging, or perhaps a sort of roleplay), be sure to find some sort of other, physical way of ending the scene/safewording out of it!

So how do you know Niko? Why doesn't he like you? You seem like a fine fellow, I don't see why he wouldn't!

Niko and I have known each other since grade school, funnily enough! As for his less-than-positive feelings for me, well. It’s a bit embarrassing of a story, and not one that Niko would like to admit. But it’s a precious memory to me, so I’m happy to share with you! ♥

Niko was an adorable kid, and as thus, he had a precocious crush on a girl in class. Maybe it was the beginning of middle school? The end of grade school? I don’t remember her name, really; but Niko was absolutely enamored with her. And with his adolescent heart being so luridly red with the blood of infatuation, beating nigh only for this person, utterly overtaken by the throes of puppy-love, nay, caught within the veritable wave of passion - Niko, in all his good judgement, thought that he might want to give a kiss to that girl! But, you see, Niko had never done that before. An innocent, and not quite sure of what to do.

Being much more friendly with me at the time, or perhaps without an opinion either way, Niko consulted me for advice.

Something like, “Have you ever kissed anyone before…?”

I hadn’t. But I didn’t want to let him down, so in a moment of resourcefulness, I decided to kiss him and gain information on this complex romantic expression, so that I might help him on his quest for a fellow peer’s love. “Now I have!” I proclaimed, rather proudly and victoriously. I expected him to congratulate me on my solution and perhaps find himself more enlightened for it, with a greater understanding on this “kiss” phenomenon that so got his heart all aflutter.

…Looking back on it, it’s remarkable that he only pushed me as hard as he did. He ran away, too, spitting some insult or another before fleeing fast as his decidedly tiny legs would carry him away from me, but I was dazed - and somehow pleased. 

As for present day: he would probably deny me as the sole proprietor of his first kiss. But I think the past speaks for itself? As mistaken as I was in my grave error (and I was mistaken), I sort of look back on it fondly. I openly admit, I’m quite in love with Niko, so how could I not? How fumbling and how adorable it was, to answer his question in the only love-struck, eager-to-please way I knew how. 

I don’t mind how Niko treats me, so please don’t fret, dear anonymous! Niko is simply reacting in the only way he knows how, and someday, maybe he’ll ask me my advice again. And perhaps I shall not be mistaken, though I am still love-struck and very much eager to please. 

(If you do happen upon this, Niko, I apologize for sharing our secret. But it was simply beyond temptation, much like your kiss was. But I regret neither of these things, and I deny you no part of my open adoration. )

Anyway, that is the story, courtesy of yours truly. Thank you for taking the time to ask! I know Niko comes off as quite mysterious in the matters of love, but once the puzzle pieces are collected, it is easy to see in what way they align…

ITS TMI TUESDAY ASK ME REALLY PERSONAL SHIT CMON

 The first comment snapped Niko out of it, if only for a couple seconds. He frowned, glaring back down at Zane with a huff. The second he locked eyes though, and he lost his nerve almost instantly, insecurity rising up again and backing into Zane’s waiting leg. He felt like a dumb, fumbling animal, stuck on fight or flight, an actual Deerling in the headlights.

 Any clear, rational thinking he had left was knocked out of him when he felt Zane press his leg up against him. Niko leaned forward, trying to get away with a small, startled yelp he would regret not muffling. He grimaced when the other boy yanked his hair, letting out a short gasp and giving him a sharp, uneasy glare at the gesture. His arms bent lower and he was back to staring down at Zane’s increasingly smug face, looking more and more concerned by the moment.

 He tried to swallow quietly, but couldn’t manage it.

 ”Z-Zane, knock, knock it off- I, er… Fuck,” He quickly shut his mouth, at loss of what to say. He shyly turned his gaze back to the wall, focusing on keeping his breathing even. Fuck his hot life.

Zane watched Niko's throat working as he swallowed thickly, not looking at him as if his life depended on it. 

"Or what? What will you do?" Zane asked, honestly curious. The shallow in-out of Niko's breaths were telling as the boy unsteadily tried to regain his composure. Zane let his fingers twirl around stray locks of Niko's hair before pulling away, already lamenting the loss before he let his hands settle around Niko's hips, his ring fingers slipping snugly into his beltloops.

Zane liked the feel of it, pulling him down by the hips so gently as if it were mere suggestion, his lashes fluttering shut when Zane felt a whisper of mutual friction between them.

 Niko froze again, willing himself to drag his eyes down to Zane’s stupid smiling face. His eyes got wide, and he felt the heat in his face slowly drain… south-bound. He cautiously fixed his aching arms, biting his lip when he slid his hands parallel of Zane’s shoulders. Which was a completely necessary move, so he wouldn’t be straining to keep his balance over him, of course. For once in his life around Zane, he was completely silent for an entire minute, scared of something that the other boy had obviously already realized.

 Niko did his best not to gulp too loud, attempting to regain his dignity, what small amount of it he had. He looked away from Zane’s creepy gaze, try so clamber off of him but Zane’s positioning made it harder, to say the least.

"E-Er, please can you… move your…" He motioned to Zane’s leg awkwardly, stupidly bumping up against it again. Niko quickly ceased his mumbling, staring distinctly at the wall. Of all the goddamn places in the entire goddamn world, why here. In a hallway. With the guy he’s hated since grade school.

"Please?" Zane repeated delightedly. "You're really persuasive when you want to be, Niko."

Niko's expression had somehow segued into something vulnerable, all wide eyes and bitten lips. It was hard not to coo at how cute he was just then, so distinct from his usual cold demeanor towards him. Zane wanted to push his hands through Niko's hair and see if it was as soft as it looked, to kiss him when least expecting, to invade his space and watch him want to pull away, yet unmovable for all his protest - because some part of him would like it, would want it too.

Zane pressed his thigh up against Niko firmly, carding a hand into Niko's hair and tugging him down just a bit sharply. So it was soft. "Hate to say it, but I might need more persuading," Zane said, letting his voice dip into that husky well of implications. Maybe he'll kiss me first, this time? Zane wasn't sure. He could be so hard to read sometimes, even when his desperation was clear.

(( SO BECAUSE OF REASONS THIS RP HAS BECOME VOID. Instead of just letting it waste away this is pretty much going to most likely become non-canon completely stupid pwp smut. Congratulations. ))

 Niko let out a short-lived scream as he fell on top of Zane. He awkwardly managed to somewhat catch himself with one hand, but the angle made his arm ache. That’s all he needed, to break his arm chasing down this freak. He tried to sit back up but realized he was straddling Zane’s left thigh. Once the horror of his position set in, instead of flailing like he knew he probably should have, he froze up.

 He stared down, wide-eyed at Zane, feeling his face heat up as the weirdo went on implying things. He grit his teeth, trying to find his words again.

 ”I-I, no I didn’t- Well, er… Interrogating, uh…” He fumbled, trying to back up off of Zane’s leg. It wasn’t exactly working, and the awkward friction only made Niko more nervous. “P-Put your leg down, so I can get off!” He barked, quickly wanting to choke on his words. In that moment, he could see his life flashing before his eyes. His short, pathetic, sexually-frustrated life.

Zane laughed, not able to help the positively ecstatic grin spreading on his face. It seemed that fate indeed was on his side today, and that miracles really did exist! With forceful urging and quite a bit of positive manipulation, but nonetheless Zane was utterly pleased, unable to contain his excitement. It turned out that there was one thing that overrided Niko's stubbornness - something that just happened to require a bit of intimacy. 

"Niko, please," Zane mumbled reverently, watching Niko turn circles around terror and frustration, "I'm awfully dizzy! I hardly can move, being as disoriented as I am. Well, actually - " Zane dropped his gaze to Niko's crotch, quite conveniently rubbing up against his thigh, and shifted against it. "Maybe I can?" Zane was almost breathless for how bold it all was, doing this sort of thing in the middle of a hallway, where anyone could see. Maybe that would work to my benefit? Niko would have to retreat, then, Zane thought. But, this was sort of...sort of fun, too. Zane always wondered what it'd be like to do this kind of thing with Niko, to make him squirm and tell him all the nice things that Niko never thought about himself. Or maybe not so good things, that he did think about himself. Zane was pretty flexible, in that respect.

a different kind of psa

  Alright, I want to make this short and sweet because waking up today to a bunch of posts like this was probably the most despairing thing I’ve seen in a while. There is a line between being encouraging and guilt tripping and I feel like we’ve crossed it. The number one thing to remember is that competitors aren’t just random artists on the internet, they are people. People who have lives, school, work, heath and everything else to worry about. They are human beings first, artists second, and I trust that people know their limits in regard to PDL and IRL workloads. If someone feels they might have to drop out because of whatever, it’s their choice. They are allowed to do whatever they want, and they do not need to justify themselves to anyone with a “good reason”. No one owes anyone art, or their participation. Shit happens. Bagging on people dropping out and “not trying hard enough” is honestly only discouraging them more, and in most cases making them feel worse about an already difficult choice.

tl;dr: Everyone chill the fuck out and let people do what they feel they need to do to relieve stress or enjoy themselves.
