Your nervous system doesn’t trust words—it trusts experiences. You can tell yourself, “I’m safe, I can trust this” but if your body has learned otherwise, it won’t believe you until it actually feels safe.
Real healing happens through experiences, not just thoughts. Your nervous system needs proof—consistent safety, genuine connection & moments that teach it, “Hey, I really am okay.” So be patient with yourself. Rewiring takes time, but every small moment of safety adds up.
I hope you believe that you can still make a beautiful life for yourself even if you lost many years of it to grief, or darkness, depression, or a wound that wouldn't close.
i am so easily impressed by trees
