Look I know half the fandom pretty much hates this guy, but I can't help it. He's so over the top and corny it loops back around to being endearing to me again
Hey, so I know this post will probably come as quite a bit of a shock. As I’ve been very supportive of TADC via the fanart that I’ve drawn and the way I’ve interacted with the fanbase so far. But that is exactly why I feel the need to write about this.
Given everything that’s been going down with Glitch, the VA’s, Gooseworx and the fandom, I’m no longer comfortable supporting this show. The goodwill I’ve had for it these past 3 years has been flushed down the drain at this point.
Goose has repeatedly shown herself to be racist and misogynistic, via a bunch of twitter posts. This also bleeds into the show through her writing of the female/femme and poc characters. The VA’s, specifically Michael and Ashley have shown that they do not care about black fans, with the way they’ve joked about the N-word. And have shown themselves to be racist as this has been an ongoing pattern, for Gooseworx as well.

Very good post explaining why the song choice of ‘Isn’t She Lovely’ by Stevie Wonders is completely inappropriate. You should absolutely listen to what black people have to say regarding the matter. They’re the ones whose culture is being appropriated.

Glitch, to this day, hasn’t made a proper statement about any of this. Not a single post about their creatives’ active racism and misogyny. The only time racism has been called out by Glitch and Goose, has been at a real life event. Ignoring how racist jokes are still racist and perpetuate said racism.
Glitch is also actively mistreating their workers, especially the women working for them.

I highly employ you to read this post. I don’t have the words to say how angry this makes me.
And despite all of this, the fandom has been doing nothing but excuse all of Glitch’s and Goose’s actions. Because apparently, being made uncomfortable by people calling the creator and VA’S out for being racist/misogynistic is worse than the racism and misogyny.
I don’t care if you still like the show, you can like media made by bad people without condoning their actions. The problem is that the TADC fandom doesn’t do this. They excuse all the bigotry, Gooses incredibly questionable track record and ignore Glitch’s workplace abuse.
And I’m tired. I’m tired of bigotry being excused in fandoms because we can’t have people getting uncomfortable. I’m tired of people excusing the fucked up actions of somebody because they made a thing they liked. I’m tired of this fandom excusing antiblackness but labeling anybody transphobic for daring to critique Goose’s actions.
I really liked this show at some point, but I can’t say I do anymore. At this point I don’t want anything to do with it or this fandom.
If you’re going to try and excuse all of the shitty things Goose and everyone involved have done, don’t even. I can’t be bothered to hear even more excuses for the racism and misogyny.
I’m letting my past fanart for this show stay up, only because of the time and effort. But don’t expect any more of it from me. If you want to discuss anything, remember to be civil and only do so under this post, as it’ll be my last regarding TADC.
