With Christmas, comes stress. Something North was all too familiar with. He was busy with preparing the presents for the children around the world. Luckily the guardians didn’t mind helping him make all of this go faster. Y/n the youngest guardian was still new to celebrating the holidays with them and he was determined to make it the best they’ll ever experience, even though it put more on his plate.

Y/n busied themselves with making cookies and drinks for the guardians when they come back from delivering presents. They didn’t mind staying behind as it was better for their own safety. The guardians hated letting y/n out especially since after pitch black’s fight with them. The elves helped them with making cookies or they tried to but it was hard not to trip over these clumsy creatures.

As the next morning light came, the guardians came back. Tired from the night they made their way to the kitchen, greeted by Christmas cookies and their favorite drinks. A smile grows on North’s tired face, he knew who had done this and he made his way to go find them. Tooth and bunny followed North, yawning about how a good sleep is due. Sandman was already floating on a cloud of sand, he was peacefully sleeping before being interrupted by Jack knocking into him. Jack let out an exhausted groan, him knocking into sandy didn’t even awake him fully.

As they made their way to the den, they saw y/n peacefully asleep on the couch with a blanket hanging from their shoulders. North smiles, sitting in a chair by them. Bunny starts up the fire in the chimney, grumbling of how the cold will get y/n sick. Tooth flies to the end of the couch, almost immediately falling asleep upon sitting. Sandy fixes the blanket on y/n, fully covering them before Jack makes his way over to y/n and lays on top of them, cuddling them. Y/n almost wakes up but North rubs their head back to sleep. Today will be filled with a much needed sleep for everyone, North thinks to himself. He closes his eyes with a low hum, grateful to be spending the day with everyone he cares about.

• he at first thought he wasn’t using enough of his sand since he only uses a little bit of it because of how strong it is. He starts using a larger dose on you before you had to explain to him that you had insomnia. He started to bring you with him whenever he had to put people to sleep as a way of creating a calm atmosphere for you to get some sleep.

Sandman x reader with narcolepsy😴

• As you two hang out, he starts to notice that your drowsiness at times that weren’t at night. At first he thought it was because of you were staying up late or you were struggling to sleep. He started to gently put you to sleep on a couch or on a bed to make sure you sleep better in hopes of “fixing” your sleep schedule. When you caught on to what he was doing, you had to explain that you had narcolepsy and it wasn’t going to be fixed like he wanted it to be. He still gets worried for you so he does continue to bring you to comfy places to sleep during these times.

✨ You two began growing closer because of your condition. You start to realize how important he was to you because of his acts of kindness to you.

Romantic🥰: you start to feel certain feelings for him as the weeks go by. He started to feel romantic feelings for you too. He takes you on a gentle ride through the sky and as you two watch the sand travel through the sky, he signs to you that he has started to feel romantic feelings towards you and he hopes you felt the same. You gently hold his hand, saying that you felt the same way as him.

Platonic☺️: you two began growing a strong friendship with each other. You start to see him as a best friend or as a family of sorts. You share this comment with him and he is ecstatic to know you trust him that much to see him as such.

You were watching everyone else celebrate Christmas. You never really celebrated it even in this new life,you kept the old habit of not doing anything special. You went to one of the rooms and sat down to watch the night sky.

North must’ve seen you leave because he walked in after a couple of minutes to check up on you. “Little one”, his Russian accent distracting you from looking at the sky. “Why did you leave? Was it too loud?”, north always checked up on you a bit too much but always with good intentions. “No it wasn’t loud just wanted to be alone for a while”,you try to ease his worries. He must’ve seen something was wrong. I mean why else would you leave? He walks over to you and sits next to you. You both enjoyed the silence for a few minutes. North lets out a soft sigh, “I may be old but I’m not blind to see when a child is upset.” You look up with irritation. “ I’m not a child.” You said with a huff. “many of the guardians you are. you are younger than us much”, he quickly explained as to not aggravate you. “Please tell me what’s wrong,maybe I can help…”,he gently says as you look at the ground. You couldn’t help but to feel embarrassed but you knew that in order to move on from the past.

“It isn’t a big deal but…”,you started off hesitant to tell him but you push forward. “When I was younger,I didn’t live in a good home. I wasn’t allowed to get presents because I wasn’t good enough for them. I probably was a bad kid but…it still sucked”,you don’t look up at north but you could feel north looking at you. You thought for a second he would laugh and joke about you being a troublemaker but all you got was silence.

You blinked away the building up tears,you didn’t understand why you were crying. Maybe it was embarrassment or maybe it was just good to say something about it even if it was small. You try not to think about it before you could spiral into it,North…hugs you. Not a side hug but a full on hug that felt comforting. “I am sorry for that…you are good enough”,he softly says as he gently pets your head. Usually you would be irritated but this time it felt nice.

You and north stayed there talking until you started to feel tired…you must’ve fell asleep because you felt yourself being picked up by someone and heard small quiet whispers before being but into a soft bed. Must’ve been one of the smaller guest rooms North made for you after you expressed being uncomfortable with the original bigger “guest” room he put you in.

When you woke up, went to the bathroom to take a shower,stumbling through the dark…when you came back you turned on the light to fully see what you’re doing and see green and red gifts by your bed. You see a large bear and a large bear on your bed that was there when you woke up. At first you were confused before remembering your conversation with north the night before.

He must’ve done this when you were asleep and in the bathroom. You couldn’t help but to smile for what he done. Maybe it was finally time to let that habit die.

TW:kidnapping

Author note:I wrote this around 5am and just wanted to finish this and go to bed.

The guardians were getting worse and you felt overwhelmed by the guardians. Who can blame you? With Bunnymund being overprotective,Jack being clingy,north being loud,tooth being too motherly,and the sandman putting you to sleep whenever you leave for too long,no one could blame you for leaving.

Pitch saw you in the middle of the forest,trying to warm yourself up with a pitiful fire. You looked pathetic,easy for him to take you. He walks slowly and quietly,letting his presence give him away. You looked up at him,scared of him because of who he was and what he could do. He could’ve done something to you as a warning for the guardians but seeing you like that…

…it reminded him of something so long ago. Pitch kneels down next to you,trying to make himself seem as non threatening as he could make himself. It wasn’t much but he did try. “What troubles you,child?” He cooly asked you. You looked up at him with a look of tiredness and fear. “Please don’t hurt me” you quietly begged him. He couldn’t help but to let out a dark chuckle. “Since you asked so nicely I won’t. Why are you alone? Where are the other Guardians?”,he couldn’t help but to ask about them. How could they let you slip away? Seems like they wanted him to take you.

Your voice shook a little bit as if trying to keep yourself from crying. Was it out of fear? Or something else? “I just wanted to be alone for a while…” you said. Alone? He knows too much about being alone. He should use your sadness to your advantage but he chose to stay with you in silence. It was a tense silence like you were waiting for an attack from him.

“I know a place where the guardians cannot find you. You’re here because of them yes?” What was he saying? He knew you were here because of them. He just needed you to admit it. “…yes” you hesitant to admit,maybe it was because you knew he was up to something. Or maybe you felt guilt for running away. “I could take you away from them. Make sure they wouldn’t find you unless you wanted them to.” You looked at him with wide eyes like you couldn’t believe he was helping you. “Why would you do that?” He knew you were smart but unfortunately, you were vulnerable at the moment. “I just wanted to be to help you. Is that such a crime?” Despite trying to come off as a kind person you could clearly see that he was trying to pull you away from them. You did feel overwhelmed and watched 24/7 with the guardians. What would happen if you took up pitch’s proposal? You couldn’t help but to give into curiosity. Before you could answer,pitch already took your silence as a yes to him taking you for himself away from the guardians.

He knocks you out with a small amount of nightmare sand. Easy to keep you asleep and dependent on him. He takes you back to his place. He’ll make sure the guardians will never find you. You’ll be alone. Just with him.

He wasn’t jealous. He was anything but jealous. He just wanted to make sue you were safe with Jack Frost. He knows that jack is a good person,a fellow guardian. That doesn’t mean he is okay with you being alone with Jack yet. Sandy? Sure,he’s a calm person who can protect you. Toothiana? Yeah,she can also protect you,seeing you as one of her own. North? Maybe,he tends to be blunt and might hurt your feelings but is a good friend. But Jack Frost? No. Jack might freeze the floor making you slip and you could break something. It could drive you to him instead of jack. It would prove that he is the only one that could take care of you.

He slowly starts to follow,hiding in the bushes and the shadows. Hiding was one of the many things he was good at. He never used it as much as he did when he met you. He couldn’t help it. You were so afraid when you met him due to his height and grumpiness. He did try to tone it down but unfortunately he bites back at any form of insult directed at him. Maybe that’s why you’re actually afraid of him. Not because of his height but because of his sharp tongue. You probably think he’s gonna snap at you just for being cute soft.

…why did you stop? What are you talking about with jack? What’s so important that you had to spend the day with jack? Just because you were closer in with age to Jack than to him doesn’t mean you should spend time alone with jack. He could teach you how to fight better than jack and his stick. You should be with him…why did Jack put his hand on your shoulder?

He could feel the anger rise in his chest but he forced it down. It didn’t help that his fur started to bristle. He hated feeling like this. You were capable of taking care of yourself. He still couldn’t help but to watch you two. He felt like tackling Jack Frost to the ground and taking you with him back to the burrow. He knew that North would get onto him about it. Maybe he could snag some of that sleep sand from sandy,just to make sure you would get to sleep. Definitely not to make it easier to take you. For now he’ll just watch you from a distance,you’ll come to your senses. And if not he’ll just have to help you.

Spending Christmas with the guardians (yandere edition)

You wake up from a restful sleep in a spare room North made for you when you first joined. You struggle to wake from the comfort of the bed but upon hearing a rapid knock on your bedroom door,you suck it up and sit up. “You up in there?”, you hear Bunny’s impatient voice ring out from the other side of the door. You hear Jack Frost joking about how you might be struggling to get out of hibernation. After a few moments you spoke out, “I’m up,no need to get your tail in a twist!”

You start to get dressed and open the door,only to be surprised by North giving you a back crushing hug. “I’M SO HAPPY THAT YOU’RE SPENDING CHRISTMAS WITH ME!” His Russian accent booming off the walls as he expresses his excitement. “With us” you hear Toothiana correct north from behind him, you thought you heard some kind of annoyance but before you can think about it, North takes you to the kitchen where the others are at. Toothiana follows, excitedly talking about what Christmas activities they can do. “We can pet the reindeer,y/n! Or we can decorate cookies! Or a gingerbread contest! North was just talking about it!”

North lets out a hearty laugh,still having yet to put you down clearly not caring for your personal space. “Calm down tooth, you might scare them off again” jack joked upon hearing Toothiana rambling on about the activities, you look at him to see him leaning against the counter eating a Christmas cookie with a couple of tooth’s fairies buzzing around him. Probably swooning over him no doubt. “Morning” you said as north finally put you down. Sandy gives some sort of hello with the sand forming a sign above his head. “Morning kit. You slept in again” bunny looked up from his drink of tea,with a look of fond annoyance. North begins to make you a plate of food,making sure you ate while the rest continues to talk with excitement buzzing in the air for the day.

After breakfast, Jack Frost,sandy and you decided to watch a couple of Christmas movies, starting with the favorite Rudolph the red nose reindeer. You curled up on one side of the couch with Jack squeezing himself next to you, not caring for personal space. “Jack, there’s a whole other side” “but you’re so warm~” You rolled your eyes,knowing that Jack was going to do whatever he wanted even if you said something. You saw sandy from the corner of your eye silently laugh. As you try to watch the movie, you try to ignore jack’s inhumanly cold body temperature. You knew if you said something about it Jack was going to cuddle you more. Jack seemed distracted with the movie.

After a couple of movies, you were called back to the kitchen to decorate cookies. North helped you with your cookies as your hands started to cramp up on the fifth cookie. You saw the fatherly look in his eye as he was showing off the cookies he did with you to bunny,bunny had a faint look of jealousy which you couldn’t help but laugh at. As the day continued bunny,Toothiana and North stayed in the kitchen cooking a wonderful Christmas meal, trying to make your first Christmas with them a special one.

After dinner, it was time for gift exchange. You were surprised to find how….much stuff you got. You expected maybe one or two but not a mountain of presents. You clearly underestimated how much the guardians loved you. The guardians loved your gifts for them, you even saw bunny brag how you remembered which specific paint brushes he likes that you got for him. You all sat by the fire watching some Christmas movie before you fell asleep against North.

North looks down at you smiling that you were able to feel safe enough to fall asleep ON HIM. Toothiana begins to quietly coo at you with motherly affection. “Aw look at them. They look so cute!” She whispers as to not wake you. Bunny and jack looked up from their quiet bickering session to look at you. Sandy gives a sleepy smile before going back to watching the movie clearly having slip you a little sleep sand to make you sleep easier. Bunny gives sandy a small glare not liking how sandy basically made you fall asleep AGAIN. And not even on him. He was jealous of North but quickly hides it before jack can notice and make fun of him.

“Should one of us put them in their room so they can sleep better?” Jack asked. Before anyone could say anything North picked you up making you look more like a child that needs protection rather than a guardian. The guardians silently chuckled at North’s quick reaction. North quickly and quietly walked to your room with you curled up in his arms. As he walked to the room he looked down at you and noticed how…small you seemed. Just by you being asleep it seemed to solidify the thoughts of you being too vulnerable for the world.North’s grip tightened a little as he thought of the dangers before shaking the thoughts away and instead thinking of the thoughts of how he got to spent Christmas with you.

He made it to your room and lay you in your bed,covered you in a quilt bunny gifted you. He tucks you in carefully before softly kissing your forehead,saying quietly “Goodnight, kiddo” and standing up straight. He looks at you for a moment before walking out of your room,softly closing the door as you sleep with a faint smile on your face.

Jack skellington taking care his human child when they are sick

Since he is technically dead I don’t think he would remember exactly how to take of you.

That’s why he gets Mama Sally to help you while he sits by you two asking questions about everything. And I do mean everything.

“Are you sure they’re fine? Not that I would doubt you, Sally. But they still look sick.” “The medicine takes a while to kick in. I know what I’m doing. Go get them some tea.”

He will read stories or tell you what you missed. He is very nervous since you are still human. He will make sure to sanitize the house so you don’t get sick again.

“Are you sure you’re fine? Do you more tea or soup? I can get more blankets if you need them.” “Dad,I’m fine” “……Are you sure?”

He does try to back off a bit but it doesn’t last long. He’ll watch over you while you so he can see and help if you look any type of visible discomfort.
