I think, what hurts Yoo Joonghyuk most, is he has chosen to live for Kim Dokja, but Kim Dokja can't do the same for him.

Yoo Joonghyuk refuses to regress, because he wants to live this life, with this Kim Dokja. But Kim Dokja, in spite of all his flowery words and bravado, won't choose him back. And that hurts.
