Zoe's father thinks Mal is a complete bum but her mother thinks he is a hero. Both of them adore Wash.

Wash has the wildest reputation on his home planet because all his old buddies can't stop telling exaggerated stories about him at the bar that are based on his own exaggerated stories he tells them.

Inara was hired consistently by someone Simon was close with on Osiris and both of them hate this. (They only found out about it because Simon mentioned a name offhandedly and caught Inara's tiny double take).

Mal will maneuver himself down his bunk ladder carrying things in both hands and has spilled coffee, soup, protein porridge, and beer all over himself trying to manage it.  Kaylee has rigged up a little basket platform on a pulley for her bunk.

Book bought a cheap large print bible with big pages and when River gets into the mood, they annotate it together.

Zoe rarely drinks so her alcohol tolerance is very VERY low

Simon sucked his thumb for longer than is "normal" for children and despite all his parents' efforts (constant scolding, bad tasting nail polish, etc.) he only stopped because he needed two hands to hold baby River properly.

Mal can yodel.
