WAIT WAIT WAIT, dream said “i think i can fix him” and then she LITERALLY did with dispel magic…………
Fav moment this episode was Evan before absolutely bodying those asshats during scuppers talking to Jammer and saying you mess with the goat you get the horns then the two just trash talking. Like yea they’re magic and have crazy dark magic shit to deal with but they can just be two high schoolers for this moment.
Second place is Sam just saying “Hey” to the demons and the response “Hey Sam”. It’s just so in character for how Sam deals with issues at hand as well as her connection to people.
Third place is Evan “I’ve fought adults in a gas station parking lot” Kelmp
Everyone that watches Misfits and Magic and says the four PCs should be in a poly relationship are incredibly sexy and have the hugest wrinkliest brains.
Do you need a little hug?
[ID: six gifs from dimension 20′s misfits and magic.
in the first five gifs, aabria iyengar as peter asks brennan lee mulligan as evan kelmp, “do you have a best friend?” evan turns, wordlessly and wide-eyed to look over at lou wilson as whitney jammer. the cast chuckles at evan’s reaction and aabria as gm says, “that’s a lot of pressure early!” erika ishii as dream tanaka says, “us, it’s us.” both jammer and danielle radford as sam black say “it’s us” simultaneously.
in the last gif, which appears below the caption, evan says, “i have three best friends,” then starts to cry. end ID]
was watching episode 2 of mismag and this popped into my head when evan was arguing with the potions professor

evan and jammer:
Forget about “ouch” the new best thing to say after being injured is “DONT TOUCH MY BLOOD”
Ugh okay I'm sorry. I just started thinking about this moment for half a second and I'm realizing that Evan had this reaction because at some point in his life he'd gotten injured and someone tried to help him and thats when he learned. Listen, the kid is 16/17 years old. Hes only recently been able to care for himself, and he's likely had to for far too long, but at some point... he had someone.
There was once someone who took care of Evan, maybe they were a shitty foster parent who didn't have any emotional ties to him, but far more likely based on the fact that Evan is such a sweet, kind boy is that he had someone nice, who liked him and maybe even loved him. A family member or foster caretaker. Maybe an elderly person whose kids had long since left the nest who'd opened the doors to kids in need. Maybe a younger person who Evan could look to as an aunt or uncle. Either way, at some point, there was someone.
And we all know- Kids are clumsy. They run around too fast and fall and scrape their knee. Or they're in the kitchen learning how to chop vegetables and the knife slips and they get a little knick. And we run to them. We kiss their wound, give them a bandaid and a high five for being so brave.
But when Evan got hurt, as he started to cry out for help, his blood started to writhe and ooze and form itself into long, wriggling shapes. And maybe he and his caretaker didn't notice at first.
"Aw buddy, let me check it out" they probably said, as they went to check his open wound. And their hand touched his knee, or his finger, or-
Whatever happened, whoever he was with, Evan's first reaction to getting grievously injured at 16 or 17 wasn't to seek help, it was to push his friends away and scream "Don't touch my blood." Because at a young age, he learned.
