i think i played slay the princess at a perfect time because that game has Everything i like in it in terms of designs themes etc., except for mousegirls. but my mousegirl itch was scratched by mina the hollower which just came out

ycg put so many interesting ideas in their mouse game, the world feels so open, there are many sidequests, different gameplay bits, amazing pixel artwork and, as expected, great music. and for what? for me to get angry when half of the bosses jump at me with little to no warning and deal ten million contact damage?

random fact about the way i interpret ma100t designs: when i first learned abt this game/played the demo i thought that hlev was wearing a raincoat and i imagined his shoes to be rain boots. but it seems that he's wearing some kind of dress shoes so i abandoned that interpretation even though i still like it. i draw bootleg with rain boots instead lol
