Said goodbye to the circus
Make Hay while the sun shines (or not)
Being half way up a mountain, slap bang in the middle of Wales, we weren’t that surprised to find it chucking it down when we pulled into Hay-on-Wye in anticipation of the literary festival’s 25th birthday celebrations. But with the promise of getting up close with some of the world’s most well-read intelligentsia, there was no way the rain was stopping us. So with an umbrella in one hand and an ice cream in the other, we threw ourselves straight into the highbrow mudbath just in time for the sun to come out.
Only at Hay would you find someone like literary God Salman Rushdie happily painting a mural with children’s author and artist Oliver Jeffers, but we saw just that and for a few more favourite moments, you should probably read this.

Stifler's Mom has got it going on
American Pie: Reunion's Chris Klein and Mena Suvari may well have had a few too many E numbers. That or they just really like a parrot themed knit.
Check out Sugarscape for the full interview, plus a chat with Seann William Scott (aka Stifler) too..
Abandoned Fairground
Siauliai's abandoned fun fair, overgrown and silent.
Once Upon A Springtime
Peonies, peonies and yet more peonies. Talk about dreamy.
