Edit from the future: I decided to like look it up and see if anyone had the same Idea as me and theres a reddit post that describes the theory way better. Though I disagree with the take on Calyspo’s island being Limbus company. She joined the company for “a specific clause in her contract” so I doubt she’s being held against her will. (And I also think the cyclops is a middle member)
the poster puts the idea in a way more eloquent way than me at midnight running on monster and a dream ever could.

I’m sorta joking but it would kinda make sense??? Like her broken watch may be a prescript deliverer? And then like the whole fake name to fool the cyclops. The index having a Greek god in it and the story she’s inspired by being linked heavily to Greek gods. The watch being broken might also represent her leaving the index? Idk Im kinda losing it because the index is my favorite finger. Imagine the idea that like she left the index and is trying to get her family out or smth. And then like the Trojan horse which we can see in her LCB sinner background, is made of bodies which is pretty obviously like representative of war trauma and those she killed. And then for me a more crackpot interpretation is that the prescripts told her to do that. And it was like the first thing that she truly doubted doing? That’s the main reason I call this a crackpot theory, the Trojan horse doesn’t fit very well in here for me.
What Im trying to say is I don’t believe Outis is going to betray limbus company. I think she’s already betrayed the index, it’s sorta a mini shot in the dark theory.
She joined the company “for a single clause in her contract” (which is 1000% being reunited with Penelope) which could be something the prescripts didn’t want which lead her to defect.
And Penelope weaves and unweaves a funeral shroud to fool her suitors in the book. Maybe she could be an Index Weaver.
Outis means no one and the index has a very strong sense of “no individuality”
For me it’s mostly based on the index’s ties to religion and The Odyssey heavily involving the Greek gods.
Also minor thing her watch has the phrase “I have a family and they had theirs.” Which sounds pretty similar to this is this and that is that (Outisland ID trust)
Mark my word ??? (LCA HR management team 2) is going to be important… either their name being abruptly cut off is to mess with me specifically, or they’re a major character in the main timeline. And then it also being cut off a the “what am I even supposed to say to” part like AHHHH.
Also hear me out on this one a Johann ID for the LCB checkup rerun would be so peak. (Lobotomy E.G.O Hornet) he was wearing hornet in the final flashback and it fits the idea of the drone protecting its boss.
Also is the hand an ego gift from Fae Lantern? It looks like the one of faerie party from lob corp.
Either way the Hohenheim ID is just as cracked as I hoped it would be, and WILL be run on my teams going forward.
LIMBUS COMPANY THEORY! The golden bough powers being unlocked coincide with the cantos message/the way the sinner grows at the end of their canto.
Idk if anyone else has pointed it out but I wanted to post about it because funny. So my bad if I’m just stating the obvious.
I believe this can be used to discern a possible theme for future cantos. I also believe we are unlocking powers in reverse order of the floors we unlocked in Library of Ruina.
Canto 6: “the eye embracing the past, building the future.” Theres the scene where Heathcliff goes back to the moment he left. And he goes through that door and tells Cathrine what he was afraid to say. And he writes the word remember on his bat, embracing the past and choosing to build a future where he can get her back.
Canto 7: “the eye facing the fear, breaking the cycle” papa don wanted to break the cycle of humans and blood fiends hatred for each-other. The Impossible Dream is to break the cycle and like in order to do that you have to face the fear that comes with humans and bloodfiends. This one is really hard for me to verbalize but it feels right.
Canto 8: “Those Who Are Faithful and Trustworthy ok so this one is like a stretch and I need to go into Cheseds core suppression. Im reading off the Wiki here because like I don’t wanna go look up a video or replay back to his core suppression and redo it. But like he’s upset about how he’s a pawn in the company and he wants to chose for himself and he decides to do so at the end of the thing. This is the like biggest stretch, because like I was barely paying attention during the Chesed part I was fried mentally. But like Chesed don’t want be pawn Hong Lu don’t want be pawn.
Canto 9: “The Courage To Protect” Ryoshu wants to protect her daughter, and she’s willing to like do anything for that. And then the line in the song “I’ll water you with every drop of blood I have.” We go direction into the spiders web to save Araya
So now I’m gonna speculate on canto 10 and 11 as I have read their books, and a little bit on canto 12 because I just started Faust and read very slowly.
Canto 10: “The Expectation for the Meaning of Existence” so Meursault sorta finds meaning in life in his march towards death. Like once he lost his freedom he understood the beauty of life. His EGO’s sorta have that cog in the machine theme so I think his canto is going to be about him finding a meaning to his existence.
Canto 11: (so Outis is my favorite sinner Netzach is my co-favorite Sephirah (Hod and Netzach are my faves) and fucking love the Odyssey. And she’s the reason I made this post) “The Fearlessness to Continue Living” so in her like announcement thing Outis says “I am nothing at all” she asks Dante “what if someone did something really really bad” (paraphrasing) in canto 7. Her LCB sinner ID background has a pile of corpses in the shape of the Trojan horse. Her Magic Bullet ID has bloodbaths EGO gift. And my incredibly limited understanding of magic bullets story ends with the guy shooting his wife. And then her sun shower ego corrosion being “Don’t leave this time.” Basically, Outis either hates herself because she’s a deadbeat or her wife is dead as hell and she blames herself. I think it leans towards her resenting herself for leaving as her EGO costs Pride and Sloth and her sinner skills are Sloth Pride and Gloom. And Netzach hates himself right, his whole thing is about like deciding that he wants to live. So I think it’s like Outis deciding that she’s worth existing that she is something.
Canto 12: “The Hope To Be a Better Person” so first things first Faust is kinda an asshole. Two A Certain Sinclair tells her not to grieve everything at once. Hod as a human was the one who sold out Ayin, she blames herself for everything going wrong. Her ego has the shadows of three people coming out of her own. The first one looking mad and the other two are off screen. This one Im really unsure about Im going to be honest.
The cantos beyond that Im not sure about, I know one of them will be Dante’s Canto. The last two closing lines are “The Rationality To Maintain Discretion” and “The Will To Stand Up Straight.” Dante has already semi unlocked the power related to the latter so I’m not sure.
Gregor Hohenheim ID Hollup this is peak! (I kinda hope Heathcliff is the stand in for Johann in his uptie story.)
I really wanted it to be a heathcliff ID mostly because I’m yaoi brain rotted. But I’m completely fine with Gregor getting it, I am worried because it is going to have to compete with fire fist and Linton Gregor. I think the ID will be better than wild hunt but I’m not really sure about fire fist. Also I think it would be cool if he was in the same mirror world as Udjat Outis.
No matter what as a day one Hohenheim glazer I am getting this ID. And I’m using it on both my burn and sinking teams and any other statuses he may inflict.
Okay I can’t hide it anymore Im literally running around my room and I’m so tired because I have bad asthma so now I’m lying down on my floor super excited and stimming really hard.
Terraria update today, my singing monsters update tomorrow, and Hohenheim ID next week (I think). My life is so good I’m so happy I love myself.
Finished all 4 paranormals on paranormals carnival this morning, today is a good day.
Super hyped for the paranormal dropping in a few days. I saw this really good theory video by Kastleized basically proving it’s gonna play the theremin. Which Im super excited for because the theremin is my favorite instrument OAT.

I think Paranormal Carnivals eventual seasonal is gonna be Jamboree. It can represent the happiness of a celebration with friends on its major form. And the sadness when no one comes to your party on the minor form. (Imagine no seasonal monsters came to the shanty in the mirror timeline and Jamboree got really sad so they went to the carnival where they would be accepted.)

How I think all the characters in the Odyssey will be involved in the story of limbus and we will be introduced to all of them soon!

Canto 9 spoilers
I think Hermes is the head of the Index? Or they’re at least a powerful figure within in the Index. I believe he’s sorta impartial throughout, but leans more to the side of Odysseus. It’s possible that the will of the city will be for Outis to return home.
Dias is the modern Greek name for Zeus (according to Google) in the story he both punishes and helps Odysseus.
I think Athena is going to be introduced between 9.5-11 as she’s on Odysseus side throughout the story. She will probably be an ally and on the side of Outis specifically. (This distinction is only important if you believe Outis traitor)
Poseidon HATESSSSSSSS Odysseus, like HATES him. I think possibly Middle ties, maybe something to do with the head but I don’t see us going up against the head in canto 11. We have Purgatorio and Paradiso to get through and the head is like the strongest thing in the city. I’m not entirely sure how he’s gonna be translated into the game but. He BETTER be moving like prime Von in canto 11 though.
Helios I think would have something to do with the Udjat. Seeing as he asked Zeus to punish Odysseus, he could also be on the board of Limbus company. Him being petty af would be really funny.
I’m not sure about Calypso I saw a theory that she was in the hospital and that was the stand in for Calyspo’s island which would be cool. But there’s also a chance that Calyspo’s island was U corp and Calyspo is a person. Outis has sailed the Great Lake before so Calyspo’s island being there would fit.
Circe: so in some myth Circe married Telemachus so thats a possibility I think it would be cute. And then there’s another chance that Circe is just a minor character maybe a mini boss. Possibly ring ties too as she turns Odysseus men into pigs in the book. (Pigs could translate into ring art pieces)
Telemachus: Color or Grade 1 fixer who will want to help Outis return home. We saw Ryoshus full power and she was level 75 we know Outis is stronger than her. (Outis upscale) So base Outis would probably be in the 80’s Vespa who is a color is level 87. Therefore Outis is most likely grade 1 to color level. In the book Telemachus is either strong enough or almost strong enough to string Odysseus’ bow. Therefore in my eyes they are around the level that Outis was. Sancho is level 85 so pre LCB Outis is somewhere between levels 75 and 85, Im guessing level 82ish. This would also make sense with Udjat Outis being able to fight against Rien (with prep time). Sorry this devolved into me pushing the Outis agenda…
Penelope: Odysseus’ entire goal is to return to his throne and his wife/family in the Odyssey. I have a theory that Penelope is the head of a wing or finger (something high ranking in the cities social structure) as she was a queen in the book. And it would explain why it would be so hard to reach them, especially if you’re claiming to be their presumed dead wife.
The suitors: an army of people trying to marry Penelope in the book. I could see a similar role in PM if Penelope is like the head of a wing. Anyways it’s possible that canto 11 will involve doing a Shrek 2 (Heathcliff would be Donkey and Don would be Puss in boots.) Edit: this is week after but Gregor would be donkey because he was the horse in the thing. But also like Heathcliff and Don would be the most excited to crash a wedding.
