silent paws carried him steadily through the place ghost could once call home-- before he left for castle black with his friend. the large beast chose to explore less populated areas of what was once winterfell, baring fangs at those who dared threaten him as to cause them to back down. the whole area smelled of death and suffering. what happened?...

his goal was simple: follow the scent of the starks, or what was left of it, to check up on each one. slipping out of castle black was hardly a challenge anymore, especially during hunting trips. but when ghost managed to pick up on one of the scents, albeit weak, he was quick to follow it. what greeted him caused hackles to slowly rise with his tail, crimson coins narrowing slightly. where was the stark? all he saw was a man who seemed to carry the smell with him...

Ghost remained low as he sneaked up on the crow, eyes wide to watch carefully. It was only when he was a couple feet away did he choose to lunge past him, jaws clenching onto the grip of his blade to drag it out of the sheath and along with him instead. A little fun never hurt any crow or wolf, did it?
Sam blinked it happened so fast,”What?” He squeaked before hoping back,”Not fair ghost. I wasn’t even playing.”
ghost’s tail moved in a slow, victorious wag, teeth biting down into the metal to keep it from falling. instead, he chose to run a wide circle around the crow in a playful manner, wary to keep his distance to avoid hurting sam.

the only response ghost gives to the poke is a heave and flicker of an ear. a long run from the wall would leave any beast exhausted upon reaching their destination. but after a beat, he forced himself to look upon the stark, looking over her to make sure she was alright.

Lady curls up on her brother, licking his face.
there’s a sigh from ghost, even a bit of a whine. “ what did i do to deserve this?... ”

“ LADY, NO! ”
the echo of a low growl cut through the silence. ghost’s ears flickered back as he shifted backwards, a paw remaining close to his frame due to the gash that his fur hardly covered. he could take no more risks and wouldn’t hesitate to attack once given a reason.
Paws upon his back, and the force of a large beast sent Jon face first against the ground once beneath his feet. He groaned, arching his neck as to gaze at those who had stopped their actions to grin and laugh in his direction. His chin burned, and it was then that he knew the skin had been scraped away by the cold stone beneath him. A smile spread wide from ear-to-ear as he turned over against the stone. He ruffled Ghost’s fur at his neck.
“ You got me, Ghost! Do you plan to eat me, now? ”
his large white tail wagged steadily behind him at his small victory against his human, his tongue seeming to loll out when hearing the other crows’ laughs as jon turned. for a moment, ghost had leaned into the familiar touch, only to lean forward and lick his friend’s chin in an apology. it hadn’t been his intention to do any harm, but it was certainly amusing, even for the dire wolf...

jon was gone; that was all ghost knew. he also knew none of the crows could be reliable for the disappearance so, the wolf knew not to trust anyone or anything else he would come across beyond the wall. he’d tried to track the scent of his master, but it only resulted in finding a red-haired woman dressed in white furs. she was no crow. his lips had drawn back into a silent snarl, hackles rising as he watched her carefully. no one would stop him from finding jon.

silent paws carried the large beast across the large castle’s courtyard, red eyes focused on the crow he’d been with most of his life. making sure to stay behind him, ghost crouched down and began moving slower as he stalked forward. it was only when he was close enough did he lunge, forepaws landing on the man’s back to knock him down. he meant no harm from the playful action, but more so to be sure his hunting hadn’t failed him yet.
so, update thing. for possibly the next week, i won’t be around. all my files, including icons, art files, game files-- everything was wiped from my computer. so i have to get all of that back now.
