i’m fascinated by emotions. one emotion has so many physical manifestations in people- joy creates tears, smiles, hugs. grief can do the same. i think we as humans feel so deeply but above all, we want others to be involved. we want comfort, laughter- we want everyone to relate to our emotions. emotions create our personalities, shape our memories, mold our futures. emotions have so much power over our lives, and that is both dangerous and fascinating.

i’m a part of so many people’s lives in so many mundane ways. for one person, i could be the one they get the notes from in polisci, the one with the dogs, the one who always wears ripped jeans. for another person, i could be the one that lights up their day with my smile, the one they talk to about everything, the one they can’t live without. we affect people and every person differently. your words have a reaction even if you don’t see it and your actions carry meaning. what may not seem important to you could make someone’s day. smile at whoever you can and be kind. you never know how much you and your actions mean to someone else.
