hasty doodle featuring merthur! i don’t think i’ve ever posted about bbc merlin on here, but was recently inspired by their dynamic since their archetypes could absolutely go both ways - sunshine/grumpy, protector/precious, goofy/stoic. bbc struck gold in the shipping sector but just didn’t know it, and also it was 2008.

I had to make a tribute to the finale for once. I have no excuse as to why I ignored the past few anniversaries, but this year felt right, somehow. Like letting things go, like hoping again. Even if things can feel a lot more hopeless. Consider this piece a vent of sorts, but projected toward a fandom that kills and heals me constantly.
