WILL GRAHAM in Apéritif
Will Graham in “Yakimono” is a special kind of charm.
WILL GRAHAM in Entrée
HANNIBAL 1.02 Amuse-Bouche
Killing must feel good to God too. He does it all the time. And are we not created in his image? That depends who you ask.

the four moods of the apocalypse
Founder of mutilated books.
— [ ♔ ] ; ;
❛ be that as it may , I did not cause damage to this book , I am not a savage . I actually found it . this is why I was giving it back to you : it is so much wrong with this that I refuse to be seen with it . there’s probably loads of rejected phone numbers and discarded gum in here , to name a few ! ❜
Will shakes his head again and picks the poor tattered book up with a careful hand. he delicately flips the front page open, where one is supposed to find a checkout card neatly tucked into the pocket behind the cover. but there is none. with a frown he thumbs through the pages and making a face of disgust at a wad of gum sticking two pages together. he sets the book back down.
“even if it’s not yours i still cant take it in this condition, and there’s no registry of this books last borrower. it’s unfortunate but this,” he says pointing at the book with a sigh. “is trash now.”

“Mr Graham!”
Kisumi chirpily calls to their university’s reticent librarian, having noticed him hanging around the orchards a lot recently, hollowing out the soil and depositing seedlings in the designated growing spots. He hasn’t had the chance to partake in much planting himself yet, which he absolutely plans to rectify very soon. For now, Kisumi has another idea in mind to help propel the movement.
Greeting him with a mirthful smile, he waves his cellphone at the man. It’s already open on camera and prepped to start filming at the click of a button.
“I wanted to stream a mini instructional video for those who might be new to this stuff to get as many people out and planting new trees, could you help me out?”
with a soft sigh Will is wiping the dirt on his gloves off on his jeans. “you really don’t need to call me mister Graham, i’m not an instructor.” he mumbles as he pushes himself up to stand. “just Will is fine.” for the moment he’s staring at the dirt, it having his attention a little more than the student as he wonders if he packed the soil firm enough. it’s a moment later that he’s turning his head to Kisumi, returning a rather small smile before noticing the phone in hand.
“uh stream?” it was a bad idea to put Will’s face anywhere on the internet when he was trying to keep a low profile. he didn’t exactly tell anybody where he went when he left Virginia. Will shakes his head ‘no’ as he takes a step near, pulling off the gardening gloves. “i wouldn’t mind filming you doing an instructional video, but i myself am a bit camera shy. would you like me to record for you?”
Dr.Lecter
He waits a brief moment before looking to see Will’s reaction at his use of the word ‘friends’. He’s used it before, but not at all after Will’s temporary arrest. Not after his becoming. Hannibal does truly believe that they’re friends, they’ve been friends for so long now, but they’ve become more after all they’ve been through. What exactly they are, the doctor can’t say. There isn’t a word for it.
“The library? That suits you.” A faint sparkle shines in brown eyes at that - how very like Will to hole himself up somewhere surrounded by people in search of knowledge. The quiet and peacefulness should do him wonders, as well. “Motsuyaki. A Japanese dish, primarily served in street stalls. It’s gut, primarily, though these also include stomach and lung. I thought they would make good snacks for the students, as well as a simple enough lesson.”
Hannibal gracefully folds his hands in front of him, body fully turned toward Will as he absorbs the truth of things. Hannibal’s time with the FBI was only very briefly about learning how to avoid capture or arrest - it quickly became about growing closer to Will. His leaving was to see just how strong their bond had become, and the fact that Will followed Hannibal all the way here… well, there’s no better evidence.
“I didn’t lure you anywhere, Will. You followed me of your own choosing, I simply left a trail that would be easy enough to follow.” A confident smirk twitches his lips upward, just for the briefest moment before he returns to a more neutral expression. It’s growing increasingly difficult to maintain his stature around Will, and Hannibal has to actively remind himself to keep composed. “It’s a shame about your dogs; I know they mean the world to you. I have a condo, and if you’d like, I’m certain I can take them in. Naturally, you would be welcome to visit them whenever you’d like.” Hannibal enjoys hosting Will, and just picturing spending time together in a more casual setting sounds wonderful. “I also run my practice from home, so it would be killing two birds with one stone.”
a brow quirks and a brief glance is given, enough to catch the sparkle in those dark eyes. did the library suit him? was he so predictable? it wasn't so much as being around the books and knowledge of them but more of the quiet place that should have minimum social interaction. he couldn't return to teaching, not what he used to lecture anyway. nothing else really held his interest long enough.
his eyes wonder back to the dish for a moment before he turns to look around the empty classroom. "what students?" the tone of his voice cracks with amusement in the empty classroom, nothing else there but the tune of a piano on record and the sizzling of meat. just Hannibal Lecter and him.
as full attention is turned toward him Will reciprocates and faces the man. pride leaks from Hannibal's mouth like a poisonous gas that fills Will's lungs. suffocating. eye contact is lost as he looks at those lips, that smirk. suffocating tension.
Will turns his head away with a soft sigh and a lick to dry lips. its getting increasingly difficult to keep his distance from Hannibal both physically and mentally. mentally, he's already failed. "yes, it is a shame." he speaks up, leaving the topic of lures and following alone for now. he had been well aware of the game Hannibal was playing when he left and still he followed, like the foolish trout biting the bait.
his dogs would be alright without him, he trusted Alana enough to take care of his dogs even if she hated him. though a glance is given to Hannibal once more at the mention of bringing them in. the offer to house his dogs brings a small smile to his face. of course he would be welcome to visit them whenever he liked. "you don't have to have a condo full of dogs to get me to visit." Will says with amusement and since he's feeling too strong of a pull toward this man he decides to physically step away. Will walks around to the opposite side of the table and drags his finger tips across the counter-top as he moves. "Naturally, we'll be resuming my therapy anyway. You might be a little busy here at the school though, so perhaps he should take that back to once a week?" He glances up at Hannibal from across the table.
Claude
despite having such a busy schedule, claude always finds a way to get himself involved in everything– and blackwood’s latest initiative to improve the environment was no exception. he was getting less hours this week, so it gave him a little more extra time– so why not see what this is all about and give a helping hand?
claude’s just stepped into the general vicinity of where he’s supposed to be assigned to when a familiar stranger speaks up, and claude blinks before offering a smile as he took the offering. “nice to meet you officially– i think i’ve seen you around campus. i’m claude,” and he holds his hand out to shake, having swapped the shovel to his other hand.
have you done anything like this before? claude thinks back to his childhood, to the silver spoon he grew up with, and laughs a little, shaking his head a bit. “not exactly,” he admits, shoulders shrugging. “i’ve potted plants before, and played in the dirt when my mother wasn’t looking, but that isn’t quite the same thing.” at least he dressed prepared– an old shirt and shorts with his old running sneakers, although whether or not this shirt is his or sylvain’s is… up for debate.
“you may have,” Will replies with a slight shrug. “i’m primarily working for the campus in the library, though. so if you’ve had books...” the sentence trails off without a proper end, it didn’t need one when it was obvious. it takes Will a moment to glance at the offered hand, and then another to properly take it in the briefest of contact, hardly a shake. “yes, nice to meet you Claude.” he says while continuing to lack eye contact.
he nods, “it’s not very different from planting potted plants, and you’re right it’s not the same as playing in the dirt.” Will leans over to gather up a premature tree in his arms and turns to walk down the path with rows of holes already dug up. this explained Will’s already dirty jeans. Winston trots obediently at his side, his paws a little dirty too which might suggest the dog have some fun digging of his own. he did.
“but it’s not difficult.” Will says as he sets the tree down beside the hole before leaning up to direct his attention at Claude. “We’ll be putting some manure down, put the tree in the hole and then pack it tight.” it was pretty simple and peaceful in it’s own way.
-- @preynot outside for the #teamtrees event
it was a nice and thoughtful way of giving back to the community and learning a lesson in nature. Will loved the outdoors, and much preferred to be out in the middle of the woods rather than living in the city. thankfully this place had a lovely park.
though he volunteered as a supervisor to the tree planting event he also wanted to plant a few of his own. he liked getting his hands dirty. the outside environment gave him an excuse to bring along his dog Winston as well, provided he wasn’t too much of a distraction.
“i hope you’re ready to get a little dirty.” Will advises as he takes a very brief glance up to the first to arrive in the section he was supervising. Will himself looked farmer ready, eager to dig into the dirt. somehow he already had dirt and soil on the knees of his jeans. Winstons leash was around left wrist with enough slack for the dog not to get tugged as he held out a gardening shovel. “i’m Will Graham, no need to call me mister anything. Have you done anything like this before?”
Good Omens and Crowley’s plants inspired me to paint a plant-themed Hannibal piece (I don’t know, my brain works in misterioud ways and I let it do its thing…) Apparently Golden Pothos symbolises ‘perseverance and longing’ - I thought it would fit Will c:

#TeamTrees. It is a movement that is spreading across the Internet with a wave of support from people of all walks of life. A Call to Action for all, to finally give back to the planet that we have called home for so long. The goal is simple: to plant twenty million trees by the end of the year, through donations made to the Arbor Day Foundation.
There have been posters placed around campus, and links provided in the school’s weekly newsletter as part of the activities section. Blackwood University has shown an open support to the cause, as have the city officials. Working together, the city of Blackwood has pledged to not only donate a large sum of money to the charity, but to also plant more trees around the city in the coming months. With Blackwood’s Cleaner Living initiative, the movement is something most residents in the city show support for.
Blackwood University is calling for anyone looking to spend time doing something good for the environment. In honour of the #TeamTrees movement, the school has decided to plant more trees around campus and have also made plans to build an apple orchard on an empty plot of land nearby the school, with the city’s permission. Blackwood has put out a call to arms to all students and faculty, as well as volunteers around town, to help plant enough trees to complete their own personal goals of making a difference.
This mini event will last until December 1st! Characters can participate in a multitude of ways with this event, which we will give some general suggestions to below. We ask that everyone use the tag #bw!teamtrees so that we’ll be able to track the participation for this event. If anyone has any questions, please let us know!
While this is absolutely not mandatory, we are strong believers in a cleaner future for all. If you are interested in the real life movement of #TeamTrees, please visit this site and consider donating! For every dollar, they will plant a tree. For more information, we also found this video to be quite informative! We are, in no way, affiliated with Team Trees, but we feel it is important to share and spread the word. Please feel free to do so with your friends and family, so that we can plan for a brighter tomorrow!
Plot ideas below the cut!
