Vale, voy a abrir un melón que muchos no estáis preparados para oír y probablemente no queráis hacerlo, pero el Señor nos llamó a este mundo para predicar el Evangelio, y por tanto, la verdad. No voy a suavizarlo para vosotros, porque como mis hermanos os quiero a todos, y aunque suena incómodo y contraste severamente con lo que os han enseñado sobre la Fe a lo largo de vuestras vidas, debemos aprender y saber como seguir a Dios de la forma correcta. Solo así construimos y preservamos nuestro vínculo con Él.
Si eres Cristiano, al único al que debes rezar y orar es a Dios y Jesucristo. Jesús es el único que intercede por nosotros y que puede escucharnos. No los "Santos", ni los ángeles, y NO, ni siquiera María. No puedes llamarte a ti mismo un cristiano y adorar o siquiera dirigirte a alguien que no sean el Padre o el Hijo. Se deja abundantemente claro a lo largo de la Biblia, la cual sabemos que es Su Palabra y Nuestra Ley. Contiene todas Sus enseñanzas, todas las normas por las que debemos regir nuestras vidas, todo eso y más es la Biblia. Y en ella se repite constantemente que Jesús es el único camino hacia Dios. Los muertos no pueden oírnos. No son omnipresentes como la Santa Trinidad.
Juan 14:6
Respóndele Jesús: Yo soy el camino, y la verdad, y la vida: nadie viene al Padre, sino por mí.

Pero él me dijo: Guárdate de hacerlo, que yo soy consiervo tuyo, y de tus hermanos los profetas, y de los que observan las palabras de la profecía de este libro. Adora a Dios.
Los ángeles son los instrumentos de Dios. Su único propósito es actuar en Su Nombre y según lo que Él les encomienda hacer. Cada vez que se aparecen ante alguien y se comunican con nosotros, lo hacen porque Dios les ha enviado primero. Esto se muestra, por ejemplo, en el Libro de Job, donde todos y cada uno de los ángeles deben responder ante Dios cada vez que vuelven de la Tierra. Hasta el mismísimo Satanás tiene que hacerlo, presentándose ante Dios cada vez que termina de recorrer la Tierra, y juega un papel importante en la historia de Job. Lo que me recuerda un dato curioso que se deja claro en ese libro. ¿Sabéis que, en realidad, Satanás no puede hacer nada sin el permiso de Dios? Antes de mover un solo dedo, está obligado a decírselo al Señor y depende completamente de que el Señor lo consienta o no (pero bueno, eso es un tarro que abriremos otro día porque da para mucho debate, y me gustaría hacer un post aparte al respecto, y no viene al caso).
En resumen, rezar a los ángeles no solo va contra la palabra de Dios, también es inútil. Lo más cercano a que te respondan es cuando el Señor los envía para ayudarte o darte un mensaje después de haberle rezado a Él. También nos rodean para protegernos por orden de Nuestro Padre de todo mal que no podemos ver, pero hasta ahí. Fuera de eso, no pueden hacer nada por ti. Cuando pasas por una operación quirúrgica, no le das las gracias al bisturí por el buen trabajo, no? Se las das al doctor, la persona que mueve ese bisturí. Esto es lo mismo.
Y lo mismo os digo de rezar a nuestros seres queridos que se han ido, a los Santos o incluso a María. Para empezar, ninguno puede escucharnos, lo cual es peor que si rezáramos a los ángeles, que quieras o no, al menos pueden vigilarnos y comunicarle lo que hacemos o nuestras plegarias a Dios. Nuestros muertos, por más que nos pese, ya no pueden oírnos. Sé que esto puede ser durísimo de saber, porque muchos buscan consuelo y consejo al hablarles a nuestros seres queridos en sus tumbas o en momentos difíciles, esperando que nos apoyen como lo hicieron en vida, pero la verdad es...una vez el alma parte del cuerpo y regresa con el Padre, dejan de estar con nosotros. Es así de simple. No son omniscientes ni omnipresentes como Dios y Cristo. No tiene el poder de interceder por nosotros tampoco. Esto se aplica a los llamados "Santos" también. Están muertos, descansando en los brazos del Señor, y solo volverán en sí cuando Él los despierte para el Arrebatamiento. Además, llamarlos "Santos" es técnicamente erróneo, puesto que no es realmente un título exclusivo. Según la Biblia, repito, la Palabra de Dios, todos aquellos que siguen y obedecen la Fe son considerados Santos o sagrados en el nombre del Señor.

A todos aquellos que estáis en Roma, que sois amados de Dios, y santos por vuestra vocación, gracia y paz de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.

A la Iglesia de Dios, que está en Corinto, a los fieles santificados por Jesucristo, llamados a ser santos, y a todos los que en cualquier lugar que sea, invocan el nombre de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo, Señor de ellos y de nosotros.

Pablo y Timoteo, siervos de Jesucristo, a todos los santos en Cristo Jesús, que están en Filipos, con los obispos y diáconos:

Y muchos pasajes más que hablan de este tema, dejando claro el mismo mensaje. Que todos somos santos y sagrados a través de la Fe. No es un título especial que se le da a ciertos Cristianos por una hazaña o un servicio particular a Dios, ni los posicione por encima del resto. Todos los que servimos al Señor y le seguimos, de una forma u otra, somos santificados de forma instantánea. Si alguien le interesa saber el resto de versículos que tratan de esto, decídmelo.
A menos que el mismísimo Dios se aparezca ante ti y te conceda un título personalmente, con Sus palabras y Su voluntad, nada de eso válido. Todas las santificaciones oficiales han sido decisiones de hombres. Al servicio de la Iglesia y aprobada por la misma, pero siguen siendo solo hombres. Y sabemos que no debemos escuchar ni obedecer la palabra del hombre por encima de la del Señor. De nuevo, si Dios mismo no es quién lo determina, entonces no vale. Lo siento. Y antes de que me digáis que los sacerdotes y todos aquellos que trabajan directamente en la Iglesia reciben su autoridad directamente de Dios para decidir esas cosas, es FALSO. Las últimas personas en recibir semejante autoridad del Señor fueron los Apóstoles, y fueron ellos los que ordenaros a los primeros diáconos y obispos. Esto lo vemos en Hechos 6:3-6, cuando nombran a los siete primeros diáconos:
"Por tanto, hermanos, nombrad de entre vosotros a siete sujetos de buena fama, llenos del Espíritu Santo y de inteligencia, a los cuales encarguemos este ministerio"
"Y con esto podremos nosotros emplearnos enteramente en la oración y en la predicación de la palabra divina"
Pareció bien esta propuesta a toda la asamblea; y así nombraron a Esteban, varón lleno de fe y del Espíritu Santo, y a Felipe y a Procoro, a Nicanor y a Timón. A Pármenas y a Nicolás prosélito antioqueno
Presentáronlos a los Apóstoles, los cuales, haciendo oración, les impusieron las manos, o consagraron.
Y en Hechos 14:22:
En seguida, habiendo ordenado sacerdotes en cada una de las iglesias, después de oraciones y ayunos, los encomendaron al Señor, en quien habían creído.
Esto se lleva a cabo para establecer el sistema de la Iglesia y expandir la fe a incluso más lugares, porque Pablo y Barnabás se dieron cuenta que no podían hacerlo todo ellos solos y que, en su empeño por cubrir las necesidades de todos los fieles por su cuenta, estaban descuidando la oración y demás responsabilidades. Fue así como surgieron los primeros diáconos, los primeros hombres al servicio directo de la iglesia después de los mismos Apóstoles. Debían ser hombres de fe inquebrantable, virtud y que contaran con el voto de todos, para ayudar a los Apóstoles con sus tareas y predicar el Evangelio.
En conclusión, las personas al servicio directo de la iglesia son importantes y merecen nuestro respeto por su dedicación, pero no tienen más autoridad que nosotros en lo que a "terreno sagrado" se refiere.
Y ahora, vamos a hablar de María. Conste que esto ha sido particularmente duro de aprender para mí misma, puesto que me he criado en una casa católica, en un país con raíces tan profundamente católicas como lo es España desde hace siglos, y donde la figura de la "Virgen María" es muy predominante y es una gran parte de la religión oficial aquí desde que tengo memoria. Le hacen figuras, semanas enteras de celebración en su nombre y oraciones dedicadas a ella. Incluso nos hacen aprendernos el "Ave María" desde niños. Se le llama "Reina del Cielo", lo cual, ahora que estudio y paso más tiempo con Jesús, he tenido que asimilar que ese apodo no es solo falso, sino que es literalmente herejía y, ya puestos, blasfemia. Solo hay UN Rey en el cielo, y ese es Dios. Y hasta donde sabemos, no ha nombrado a nadie como su "consorte", verdad? El único que se sienta a su vera es Jesús. Además, la Biblia no menciona lo de virgen eterna por ningún lado. Es cierto que lo era cuando dio a luz al Jesús, porque así es como tenía que ser, pero después de eso, no, su virginidad no se regeneró ni lo hizo nunca. No era perfecta. Era una pecadora más, que cometió errores a lo largo de su vida humana, como todos. Como José y hasta los Apóstoles.
Lucas 1:46-49
Entonces María dijo: "Mi alma glorifica al Señor."
"Y mi espíritu está transportado de gozo en el Dios salvador mío."
"Porque ha puesto los ojos en la bajeza de su esclava; por tanto ya desde ahora me llamarán bienaventurada todas las generaciones."
"Porque ha hecho en mí cosas grandes aquel que es todo poderoso, cuyo nombre es Santo."
Jesús vino a la tierra para salvar a los pecadores de las consecuencias de nuestra naturaleza y abrirnos la puerta a la eternidad a través de Él. Una persona sin pecado, pura y perfecta, no necesita salvación. María no debería referirse a Él como su salvador si fuera el caso porque Él no tendría de qué salvarla. Además, es referida como una esclava más del Señor y de "bajeza", dicho por ELLA MISMA. No puede ser esclava y reina a la vez.
A los Gálatas 4:4
Mas cumplido que fué el tiempo, envió Dios a su Hijo, formado de una mujer, y sujeto bajo la ley
Leed atentamente. Sujeto a la ley, bajo la ley. No en igual, no por encima. Jesús nació sujeto a la ley porque María lo estaba también. María tiene el mismo status bajo el cielo que todos los hijos de Dios. Fue concebida y vivió bajo Su ley, y le fue otorgado el inconmensurable honor de cargar en su vientre al Hijo de Dios por ser descendiente del Rey David, ya que había sido profetizado que el Mesías vendría de ese linaje. María está llena de gracia, pero dicha gracia no es "ganada" sino "otorgada". Es "bendecida", no "bendita". Distinción importante.
María debe ser respetada como la madre del Señor, la mujer que lo crio junto a José, el cual también fue honorado por Dios, porque mientras a María se le encomendó la tarea de dar a luz a Jesús, Dios confió en José para criarlo como su padre terrenal. Como Cristianos, admiramos a María por la devoción que demostró y reconocemos su papel en la vida de Jesús, pero hasta ahí. No debemos hacer más que eso. María no estaba limpia de pecado. Era tan pura como los Apóstoles y María Magdalena. No puede escucharte si le rezas. Y sabiendo todo esto, sería la primera en corregirte por hacerlo e instarte a que acudas directamente a su hijo y Señor. Ella no tiene ninguna autoridad. No es reina de nada. Fue una pecadora como nosotros.
Por eso, cada vez que oigo lo de "virgen eterna" o "sin pecado" me duelen los oídos, porque NO es verdad. Solo ha existido UNA persona sin pecado en toda la historia y ese es Jesucristo. Al afirmar que María es "pura" o "inmaculada", estás cometiendo una blasfemia. Es así de serio. Por favor, es importante que entendamos esto. Nunca ha habido y nunca habrá nadie limpio de pecado excepto Él. Y nadie más es omnisciente u omnipresente salvo el Padre y el Hijo. Solo Ellos pueden oírnos y ayudarnos.
Lucas 11:27-28
Estando diciendo estas cosas, he aquí que una mujer, levantando la voz de en medio del pueblo, exclamó: ¡Bienaventurado el vientre que te llevó, y los pechos que te alimentaron!
Pero Jesús respondió: ¡Bienaventurados más bien los que escuchan la palabra de Dios, y la ponen en práctica!
Ves como redirigió las palabras de la mujer? No las reafirmó. No dijo "En efecto, bendita sea María por tenerme. Gloria a mi madre la Virgen María". No, dijo que benditos todos aquellos que cumplan con la voluntad de Dios y obedezcan Su palabra. María fue bendecida por llevar a cabo lo que Dios le mandó hacer, como cualquier buen cristiano debe hacer. Y somos recompensados, es decir, bendecidos por ello.
Conclusión: Debemos orar única y exclusivamente a Nuestro Padre Celestial, y al Hijo, nuestro Salvador y abogado (porque sí, es literalmente nuestro abogado defensor en el juicio. No me lo estoy inventando. Jesús intercede por nosotros y nos defiende activamente ante Dios. Pero somos tan afortunados que tanto Padre como Hijo ya están de nuestro lado, así que no hay que temer). Rezar a alguien que no sea el Señor no es solo erróneo, rozando la blasfemia y prácticamente herejía en el sentido literal, es inútil. Dejad de malgastar vuestras oraciones en quien no pueden oírlas y mirad únicamente a Dios. Él es el único camino.

Please pray for my best friend to get her work done in time. Lights went out at her place and she has a bunch of orders to finish before tomorrow or else she'll have refunds to make and lose money, and lights won't be back in two hours. She's really worried and the situation is dire.
Okay, I'm going to open a can of worms many people are not ready for and might not want to hear, but God called us upon earth to spread the Gospel and, therefore, the truth. I'm not going to make it digestible for you because I love you, and even if it's unpleasant and against what you've been taught to believe, we must learn and know how to follow Him right.
If you're a Christian, the only one you must pray to and talk to are God and Jesus. Jesus is the only one who can intercede for us and the only one who hears us. Not the "Saints" nor the Angels and NO, not Mary. You can't call yourself a Christian and worship anyone besides the Father or the Son. It's made explicitly clear through the entirety of the Bible, and we know that's His Word. All His teachings, all the rules we should follow, the Law, it's in the Bible. And it's repeated that Jesus is the only way to God. Dead people can't hear us. They're not omniscient like the Holy Trinity.
John 14:6

The Angels are God's tools. Their sole purpose is to act on His word and what He tells them to do. Every time they've appeared to people and given messages, they did it because God sent them. This is also shown in the Book of Job, where every single angel has to report themselves to God and can only move by His permission. Hell, Satan himself makes a frecuent appearance in the book and you know what? He also can't do anything without God's consent (but that's another can we'll open another day because it's a deep debate). So yeah, praying to Angels is not only against the Lord's words, it's also pretty useless. The closest thing you get is when God sends them to help you or give you a message after you prayed to Him. Otherwise, they won't do anything. When you get surgery, you don't thank the scalpel for the good work, don't you? You thank the doctor who moved that scalpel. This is the same.
Same goes for praying to the dead, Saints or Mary. For starters, neither can hear us, so it's even worse than praying to angels, who can watch us and report what we do to God. Our dead, as much as it pains us, can't hear us. I know this is the hardest part, because many of us take comfort in talking to those we lost by their graves and during hard moments, hoping they support us like they did in life, but once the soul departs from the Earth and returns to the Father, they're no longer with us. It's that simple. They're not omniscient the way God and Jesus are. They don't have the power to intercede for us either. This applies for Saints as well. They're also dead, resting in the Lord's arms, and they'll only wake up when He raises them back up for the Rapture. Also, they're not the only Saints. According to the Bible, again, God's word, everyone that follows and believes the Faith are called Saints or Holy.

To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 1:2
Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's:

Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:

To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
And there are MANY more verses that speak about this and make it clear we're all Saints and Holy through the faith. It's not, to put it in simpler words, a "special title" you get by doing a special kind of service to the Lord above other Christians or a great act. We're all automatically Saints once we turn to God and referred to as such. If anyone wants to know the rest of versicles that speak on this matter, ask me.
Unless the Lord himself has apperared before you personally and granted you a title with His Words and His Will, then it's not valid. Every official sanctification has been a decision made by men. At the service and with the concessesion of the Church, sure, but still men. And we know not to listen or obey anything made by men above the Lord's words. Again, if God hasn't decided that, it's not valid. Sorry. And before you argue with me that priests and everyone that works in the Church got their authority from God therefore they can make these decisions, you're WRONG. The last people who got their authority by the Lord were the Apostles, and it was them who appointed the first bishops and deacons. We learn of this in Acts 14:23:
And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.
This is to further establish church leadership and extend the reach of faith even in more places, because Paul and Barnabas realised they couldn't everything by themselves and prayer was being accidentally neglected in order to meet everyone's needs. So they came up with the concept of deacons, men of unshakeable faith and virtue and agreed on by everyone's vote, to help them with tasks and the preaching.
In conclusion, people at the direct service at the church are important and deserve respect for their devotion, but the don't have any more authority than the rest of us have in holy matters.
Now to the topic of Mary...and this has been a HARD one for me to get through because, as a Catholic-raised girl in a deeply Catholic rooted country such as Spain, the figure of "Virgin Mary" is heavily predominant here and has been a pivotant part of religion since I have memory of it. There are figures, weeks of celebration in her honour and a prayer, Hail Mary, we're supposed to learn. She's even called Queen of Heaven, which now I know better...not only is false, it's literally heresy and straight up blasphemy. There's only a King in Heaven, and that's God. And as far as we know, He didn't crown anyone else as "consort", didn't he? The only one who sits besides Him is Jesus himself. Also, there's nowhere in the Bible that states her "eternal virgin" status. She was a virgin when she birthed Jesus, true, but she's NOT sinless.
Luke 1:46–49
And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.
Jesus came down to earth to save all sinners from the consequences of our nature and grant us eternity through Him. A sinless person doesn't need salvation. Mary wouldn't refer to Him as her saviour because He wouldn't need to save her. She's especifically called a servant of the Lord and "low", by HER OWN WORDS. A handmaiden cannot be Queen.
Galatians 4:4
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
Read that. Under the law. Not equal, not above. Mary is given the same status as all sons and daughters of God. She was made and lived under the law, and she was blessed with the honour of carrying the Son of God because she descended from the line of King David, as it was prophesized the Mesiah would come from his lineage. She's not "blessed" herself, she was blessed. Important distinction.
Mary must be respected as the mother of Our Lord Jesuschrist, the woman who raised him along with Joseph. Mind you, he was blessed with an honour too, because while God trusted Mary to give birth to Jesus, He also trusted Joseph to raise him as his adoptive father. We admire Mary for her devotion and acknowledge her purpose in Jesus' life, but that's it. We can't do anything more than that. She wasn't sinless, she was as pure as the Apostles and Mary Magdalene were. She can't hear you if you pray to her. And knowing all this, being the mother of God, she would be the first to tell you off for calling her instead of going directly to her Son and the Lord. She doesn't have any authority. She's not queen of anything. She was a sinner too.
Every time someone refers to her as eternal virgin or sinless it hurts my ears because there's only been ONE sinless person in the entirety of the world and that's Lord JesusChrist. By claiming Mary or anyone are sinless or "pure", you're comitting blasphemy. It's that deep. Please, it's important you understand this. There's never been and will ever be someone sinless except Him. And there's no omniscient presence but God and Jesus. Only they can hear us and help us.
Luke 11:27–28
And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.
But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
See how he redirected the woman's words? He didn't agree. He didn't say "Oh yes, blessed Mary for birthing me. Hail my mother Mary". No, he said blessed those who follow God's words and keep it. Mary was blessed because she carried on God's task for her. Like every Christian is expected to do. And we're blessed for it.
Conclusion: We must pray only to Our Heavenly Father, and the Holy Son, our Saviour and Attorney (yes he's also officially our attorney in heaven, i'm not pulling this out of my ear. He intercedes for us and defends us in judgement. But lucky us, both Him and God are already on our side). Praying to anyone outside them is not only wrong, dangerously close to blasphemy and practically idolatry, it's also useless. Stop wasting your worships in those who can't hear you and turn to God. He's the only Way.

On longer days where I have more time, I follow a reading order that I'll elaborate on another post, but for those who have little time or, like me, are still fighting with the sin of procrastination (and the ADHD demon) and can't make enough time, just these two are fine. Remember, if you don't feel like reading the Bible, force yourself. Something is purposely keeping you from reading it because it has power. Even if you're bored, even if you don't understand things, read it. Don't stop. You'll understand in time and you'll find yourself enjoying reading it eventually.
Right now I'm about to start with The Lord's prayer in Matthew 6:9-13, the Our Father we were taught to pray. Then, I'll go with Psalm 20 and end with 91.
It serves to wish for protection and the wellbeing of our loved ones and ourselves by the Lord's loving hand. Wish him to answer our calls during trials and for him to hold us.

Porque sabe que cuando leemos la Palabra del Señor y la interiorizamos, ganamos poder y protección. Así que, incluso si te aburre, incluso si te cuesta entender lo que lees, hazlo. Sigue leyéndola. Te prometa que lo entenderás todo con el tiempo y empezarás a disfrutarlo de verdad.
Ahora mismo, voy a empezar con la oración de del Señor en Mateo 6:9-13, el Padre Nuestro que Jesús nos enseñó. Luego, voy al Salmo 19, y termino con el 90.
Estos Salmos son una oración para nuestra protección y la de los nuestros por la amada mano del Dios Padre. Es nuestro deseo de que acude a nuestra llamada cuando estamos pasando por pruebas, para que nos sostenga en el proceso.
As a Christian, the Bible has to be our steering wheel in life. But it's not only our instructions, it's also advice, promises and words of love for us.
I strongly recommend starting your day with Psalms 23. It's the first thing I read when I wake up or as soon as I arrive to work. It's a reminder that God is guiding us as our Sheperd and in Him we shall lack for nothing. Let Him take us and handle wherever we go. Trust Him with your tasks.
Once it becomes your routine, you'll see a noticeable, good change in your life. The Word has real power when we read it and internalize it. I promise. It has worked on me. It'll definitely work on you as well.
hi everybody. I don't often make religious posts since I've experienced a lot of toxicity when I've tried to in the past, but I really feel the need to do so now. Forgive the use of a burner account.
My grandfather, Marty, has been experiencing kidney failure for several years now and has been on dialysis daily to stay alive. He is deeply in need of a kidney donation, but has been unable to find a donor and has been waiting. Recently, he fell and fractured a vertebra in his back, which has caused further complications.
Marty is a deeply intelligent man. He was an aeronautical engineer before his retirement and is also incredibly knowledgeable about the natural world around him. He is loving and kind and a very very important figure in my life and the lives of my family. When I've been at my lowest, I've always been able to find peace and tranquility by his side.
I'm asking, please, if every religious person who sees this could pray for him and his health. I can't lose him now. Regardless of your denomination or even of your faith, if you could please pray for him, I would be eternally grateful.

I'm going to open a can of worms that some people might not be aware of it yet, and I learnt recently since I became Christian. I hope this reaches the people who need to know it, just like I needed to know back then.
Having doubts is parth of the Faith. You're not a bad Christian for doubting or questioning things. It's part of the journey. All believers have dealt and still deal with doubts to this day. Trust me, Jesus is not angry at you for not being blindly, 100% trusting all the time. He understand our hearts better than anyone. He knows we're fragile and our human nature limits us. Keep in mind Satan attacks us too. He'll do anything in his power to separate us from the Lord, let it be by casting these doubts in the first place, making us feel uneasy when we're at our most vulnerable, and making us think God is not at all with us. I know from experience because it's what he usually does to me.
For example, I had an awful night two days ago, tossing around and fighting to fall asleep, and despite how exhausted I was, I couldn't. Something kept me from fully resting. An intense sense of dread and doubts plagging my mind, mostly about whether I was truly aligned with God or not. Usually its about the End of Time and the terror of getting left behind, that God doesn't take me or my loved ones because we "didn't do enough", "we didn't trust enough", "my faith wasn't strong enough", etc. I kept praying these bad thoughts away and reminding myself that the Lord loves me endlessly, and I was already saved by Jesus by his blood. Eventually, I could finally sleep, but it was horrible. It's like something was purposely keeping me away to torment me with those thoughts and images. And that's because it's at night, in bed, when we're at our most vulnerable, and Satan sees it the perfect moment to go for us. When our trust wavers, it opens a door for him to attack and keep us away from Our Father. Remember, fear doesn't come from God. Nor does anxiety or stress.
2 Timothy 1:7
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
So remember, if it scares you away from God, if it makes you feel negative and bad about yourself, then it doesn't come from the Lord in the first place. And it doesn't mean you're not a true Christian or you're failing. Sadly, these attacks and doubts are common in our path, and they'll most likely continue until the end of our lives. It's meant to test us. We can't fight these off by ourselves. When doubts come at you, it's when we must run off to the Lord for counsel and guidance. Trust Him to comfort you and lead you. Don't try to fend the enemy off alone. We can't. He wants to isolate us by making us think there are times we don't really need God. We do. For every aspect of our lives. And He wants us to seek him out for everything. Yes, even the most mundane, smallest things you can imagine. He's Our Father. He wants us to seek him all the time.
Isaiah 54:17
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the Lord.“
It's His promise to us. For as long as we rely on Him and stay loyal to Him, He will protect us, and no threat the enemy or anyone throws at us will work.
