Penthesilea/Theirichme:
On this vase, the woman on the left is identified as Theirichme by an inscription and is dressed like a Thracian maenad (a follower of the wine god Dionysus). She presents a hare, presumably as a gift, to the Amazon Penthesilea, who is armed with a bow and an ax. Theirichme has been identified as a woman hunter, and her gift of a hare is significant. In courtship scenes between males found on Attic vases, such as a red-figure kylix, or drinking cup, now in the Louvre (G 121), this is a gift of choice, where the erastÄs, or the lover, gives a hare to his erĆmenos, or beloved.

Servius on Aeneid 4.402
There is a tale: in Attica, there was a maiden named Myrmix, loved by Minerva for her chastity and diligence, who later incited Minervaâs anger against her. For when Minerva saw Ceres finding crops, wishing to show the Athenians how to better grow crops, she is said to have invented the plough. As she was using it, and Myrmix clung to her, she dared to secretly steal the handle of the plough and boast among people that Ceresâs gift was fruitless unless they used her invention, which allowed the land to yield crops more quickly. When Minerva found out, she turned Myrmix into an ant, an enemy to grain, which always pursues and steals it. This act moved Jupiter to mercy, and he devised how to honour the ants. When he placed Aeacus, his son born in Aegina, as king over Thessaly and saw the lands lacking people, he ordered ants to be gathered into one place and transformed them into humans, hence called Myrmidons.
And Theophilus, of the School of Zenodotus [3rd century BC], records that in Attica there were two siblings, Phalanx, the man, and the woman, named Arachne. But while Phalanx learned from Athena the martial arts and Arachne the art of weaving, they were abhorred by the goddess because they had intercourse with each other. They were transformed into animals who were eaten by their own offspring.
Combining the Arachne/Myrmex stories to get Arachne x Athena-until-Arachne-betrayed-her actually goes so hard imo. Especially with the scale of her betrayal in Ovid. Like. She taught you everything you knew and then you claimed to be better than her. Ouch.
