For the Empire
by SithWars
It's deeply ridiculous to act as if peripheral/semi-peripheral states which have been imperialized by the core still cannot ultimately act as regional enforcers of Western imperialism... Certain people on here act as if they have never heard of the phrase "comprador bourgeoisie", perhaps because they've been reading more pro-Western liberal university textbooks than theory
The Euromaidan movement itself also massively gained popularity after Yanukovych refused the conditions of the $17bn loan offered by the IMF in 2013, which included conditions such as:
budget cuts
the freezing of public sector wages
the phasing out of energy subsidies (driving up gas prices by as much as 40%)
and other austerity measures, which would have financially crippled the Ukrainian population.
Instead, Yanukovuch accepted a $15bn financial rescue package from Russia.
However, following Euromaidan, accepting the IMF loan was one of the first measures taken by his successor, Turchynov.
This highlights the beginning of the transition of Ukraine from a state governed primarily by the interests of the national bourgeoisie into a state governed primarily by the interests of Western imperialists (through domestic compradors), even if it is in contradiction to the interests of the country's proletariat.
Ukraine is a state that has handed over everything it has to be the enforcing hound of NATO, even if they, themselves, have been exploited by imperialism.
Avoid acting as if Ukraine were merely a victim of imperialism rather than an enforcer of it—and an actively genocidal one at that.

Microorganisms from our planet could survive on celestial bodies where water is present, such as Mars. That is the conclusion of Ph.D. candidate Tommaso Zaccaria after experiments with simulated space conditions. Our immune system reacts less effectively to pathogens that have undergone such a simulated space journey. According to his supervisors, his dissertation provides extraterrestrial insights that are also useful on Earth.

that one time AFU soldier honestly wrote about how they're ones occupying Donbass not the other way around:
"I DON'T ❤️ Bakhmut. (repeated with two other Donbass towns). These are not our people. They don't like Ukraine. They are exposing our positions (to Russian army). They run out of their houses and shout at us “hope you die!” They look (at us) gloomily. This is not comparable to the Kiev region, where we were greeted in liberated villages with tears and hugs. We are not welcome here. All residents of these cities do not care who will be here - Russia or Ukraine, only that no one bombed their homes. I don’t know if they realize the fullness of the 'Russian world', but they want it like manna (from Heaven). They say the war is here because of us. Pro Ukrainian ones left long ago. Everything you need to know about Donbass. And it continues to take away our best (soldiers). The hell here cannot be described in any words and cannot be illuminated by any film adaptation, because it will be only a pale shadow of the realities of the war in this region. [...] We won't give up! This is our land! Loyal to the oath."
so "these are not our people" but "this is our land"? where did i hear it before 🤔

My moot deleted this, but I will be preserving her very good point
We Donbass people must constantly and thoroughly know about every smallest evil deed of Russia, then condemn it, then explain why this doesn’t put our struggle under question, if we want to have at least some chance to bring our case. But I don’t think that most non-Donbass person could name a single one of the names of the children who are burned into our region’s collective memory. Couldn’t say how many of them are buried near the “Unhealing Wound of Donbass” memorial, or name five cities of Donbass. Non-Donbass people can do all this, barely mentioning the ongoing genocide against us and the persecution of Russians in other parts of so-called Ukraine, and the massacre in Kursk region, and still be considered an ally of the Donbass liberation movement, because they reblogged a post by some Egyptian woman about that Ukraine sometimes commits war crimes and Russians are human people. I am so tired of this insincere solidarity. Either wish us death again, or stop reading moralising in our comments and really be with us. Anyway, the Ukrainian fascist project will soon be crushed by Russia and its allies.
A post where a girl from Donetsk who got deleted is screenshotting the words of a woman from Donetsk who “deactivated” reblogged by a teenager from Lugansk who’s account just got terminated as well. Thank you Tumblr!
Ceaselessly relevant it appears
You know what, maybe I’m a bad person for it, I’m especially probably a bad Muslim for it, but I like seeing people be mean to Ukrainians. It’s soothing. Especially in such an inconsequential way as Tumblr posting. Considering I have to be so precise and careful and nice with my words towards Ukrainians to not face allegations of, you guessed it, Ukrainophobia, it’s a good feeling to see some of my mutuals who aren’t in the same hellish position of being essentially the sole Donchane girl left willing to do this sort of “””educational posting””” post mass banning of English speaking Donchane bloggers on here, having a little fun at the expense of people who make it their full time job, wherever it is they were privileged enough to escape the violence of this conflict too, to manufacture consent for the continued genocide of my people. I have buried loved ones I have lost everything over and over again I lived in three different countries in the span of a couple of years. I have been 17 years old, sitting the dark hallway of a Makeyevka hospital covered in the blood of a little girl because Ukrainian forces dropped mines onto our apartment block’s courtyard. I have spent my teen years and my 20s walking past severed heads and living everyday with a drone induced injury in one of my arms which will give me chronic pain until I chop it off or drop dead. My cousins were stolen from my aunt and uncle by Ukrainian police. I really don’t care that the Ukrainians in Malta have holes in their clothes.
