One of our quirks as a species is that we think our food is bland if it doesn't have enough poison in it.

Humans have a really weird mix of mundane superpowers.

We're not fast and don't have a lot of natural weaponry but we're bizarrely tolerant to a broad range of toxins to the point that one toxin is considered a morning necessity for some to perform at work. Gotta love us.

sharing my cosmere stuff i’ve made, part 1:

Kwaan’s Inscription!

yup, i custom laser engraved *all* of kwaan’s warning into an actual steel sheet. then hung it on my wall. no warping from evil gods guaranteed! sorry the photos are kind of shitty. the mirror finish looks *great* in person but doesn’t translate well.

a few stats, if anyone is curious. 6 pounds of steel, over 2k words, 1ft x 3ft. i did make sure to get the unedited prophecy, from all the epigraphs. formatted in word. just chose a fancy looking font that was kind of industrious and centered it. i know kwaan probably wouldn’t have but it looks nicer this way. i added paragraph breaks at either the split in epigraphs or dramatic moments.

next i’ll prolly show off my 3d printed pattern or nightblood :)

Ok, so in the original Bram Stoker novel, sunlight is not lethal to Dracula. He just loses most of his powers. I'm bringing this up cuz I want a horror comedy where the hero, sensing dawn, tears off the curtains as a last-ditch effort only to have the vampire go "Aw shit, there goes most of my fancy powers. Guess I'll have to beat your ass the old-fashioned way" then proceeds to just deck the hero cuz a vampire at half-strength is still a fucking vampire.

writing is a fantastic hobby but the kicker is it's a lot harder to show your friends as it's progressing. with a sketch i can show someone and they'll be like oh that's an apple. you can't do that with words until you get a lot of them down. so i'll just be like damn fuckin. uhh. check this out
