"There is no need for such a tone, Mr. Pennyworth. Suffice it to say I am the one in the shadows, I was the night, before the boy you raised decided to take on that foolish mantle and plunge himself into self destruction. He turned a city that was on its downward swing into a spiral of never solved problems… and it worked out better than I planned."Â
The god chuckled, clicking his fingers together as the broken teacups and spilled tea rose from the ground, and then reformed upon the table as though they were never broken.Â
"I am Tezcatlipoca, and I think it is time we finally talked.”Â
Alfred watched the teacups clink back together as if they had never been broken. His jaw set as he took a shaky breath, forcing his hands to stay still and clam.Â
Tezcatlipoca. He racked his brain for any memory of the name. This thing seemed to know Master Bruce. Alfred's frustration grew when he couldn't place a face.
"Alright," he deadpanned. "Please have a seat." His eyes flickered up to the gun above the fire place.
