“Diamontis used to be normal. Until the most disastrous thing happened to it’s atmosphere. The usual celestial bodies that make up day and night, the sun and moon, suddenly stopped into an eternal splitting eclipse. The sun and moon had this strange interaction towards the island, holding many cryptic effects to the townsfolk.
The northern part of the island was forever in the light of the moon. The rest is darkness, and lack of pure light. Citizens who live in the upper parts of Nickville have been granted moon magic, necromancy, and allergy side effects to a small amount of people.
The southern part of the island was shined with the sun’s starlight. Not a shadow to be seen but under the rooftops. Local residents on Shell Beach and more are gifted with the powers of light, stars, and side effects on some body features(such as possible sunspots).
All people affected have been confused and scared of this situation. The celestial bodies also created a force field between the two parts, leaving people that are desperate and grieving to see their friends on the other side. Certain restaurants and resources are on the other side, and people couldn’t get there due to the cursed force field that is upon them. This led to making their own methods of resources for each of their sides.
All was peaceful until hatred struck. Two leaders for the sun and moon groups have certain viewpoints on each other. The sun leader was angered that the moon side had more quiet and money. While the moon leader was jealous that the sun side have more light and resources. As the two leaders talked to each other, they discussed on what they have. But the talk became aggressive, the leaders becoming cocky and judgmental of each other. And as the leaders are full of hate, the rest of the group felt it too.
It was the beginning of a rivalry. And we don’t know how to stop it."
