Arranged Marriage with Yuto
Good ending, One shot, fluff, around 1k words
Like mentioned before I don't really have a lot of knowledge about arranged marriages but I tried my best with this one ^~^ also sorry for the delay my lovely anon, I got really sick and had some personal issues so I haven't been in the right mindset to write about this. I still hope you see this and enjoy it ❤️
Also thanks alot to my beloved @philikseu for helping me out with this topic 💕
She checked the time once again, pulled out her phone and checked her reflection in her black screen. She looked pretty. Better than usual. She wasn't the biggest fan of her looks but if she wore some nice make up, got her hair done and put some nice clothes on she would consider herself decent. Even pretty. Today was one of those days. She actually took two hours out of her day to give herself a complete make over. She liked making herself pretty but she really hasn't had done it in a long time. There has never really been a reason to do so. But today there was. A reason so big and important that she felt her heart drop as she saw the bus coming around the corner in the distance.
She swallowed heavily, plucked her dress in order and slowy lifted herself from the bench. No. It would be better to just sit right? So it doesn't seem like she would actually wait for him. Shit. The bus was already close enough for people to see that she got up. She should sit down again, but it would look so awkward. Shit. She felt how her cheeks burned. Not that kind of burn you get when you blush but when you feel really uncomfortable. She pulled out her phone from her little leather pouch and just scrolled around in her menu to make it look like she was just lazily checking messages. Of course there weren't any. The bus came to its hold a few meters away from her and as the doors opened she played her best to unbotheredly lift her gaze.
He wore a baseball cap and she immediately felt relief but at the same time somewhat of disappointment. Couldn't he have dressed up better for this occasion? To be fair, his outfit was decent, even tho all in black. He wore tight jeans and a black loose shirt, as he met her gaze he awkwardly nodded towards her. She bit her lip, nervously waiting for him to get closer. As he finally reached her, he took off his cap and politely reached out his hand with a slight bow.
"Hello, nice to finally get to meet you."
It took her a second to normally function again. He was really pretty. Prettier than she had hoped he would be.
She forced a nervous smile, shook his hand and nodded.
She replied without really thinking about what she was saying.
As their eyes met, they both started to giggle.
Gosh this was so weird. So awkward. But he also seemed so nice.
The tall man smiled down at her and she nodded, threw her hair behind her shoulder.
"So, do you want to get going?"
She didn't know why she smiled as she nodded once again, let him take her pouch and walked across the street next to him inside the museum.
"How was it?" her sister smiled as soon as she got into the car with her.
"That... That is a good question actually."
She received a smirk from her older sibling and looked out the window as the car started.
It really was a good question.
Good just didn't describe it well enough. It was somewhat... Magical? They got along so well and as soon as they started finding topics to talk about the awkwardness just... Vanished?
Somehow she remembered everything and nothing at all. Time went by so fast but the date also lasted for an eternity at the same time.
"My mum insisted on getting my hair done by herself but she screwed it up. I almost freaked out and yelled at her if she's really serious right now."
"She just laughed and threw the cap at me."
"Well I think your messy hair looks good."
She smiled as she took a step to the side and examined the next painting. She felt his gaze on her profile, didn't bother to react to it.
"Do you want to see him again?"
She bit her lips to hide her smile as she nodded.
"So... To be honest, I didn't expect to have such a good time as I had with you today."
She grinned and he gave a light cuckle.
"You're really cool to be honest. You really seem to know what you want in life. I admire that."
She got shy and smiled at the ground, murmuring a "thanks."
"So... Do you want to meet again some time?"
His nervousness was almost impossible to ignore so she looked up at him and gave him a soft smile.
"As if we really had a choice."
Yuto let out a surprisingly high laugh, covered his mouth with the back of his hand.
Her tone was way more sincere now and it made him freeze for a second. He looked down at her, his mouth a bit open. He obviously hadn't excepted her to be this honest.
She didn't know if it was the bus that peaked around the corner behind Yuto or just her trying to find out what she was asking herself from the every first second, but she suddenly put her hands on his shoulders, lifted her heels and gently pressed her lips on his.
Yuto didn't dare to move or breathe and before he could even react she let go of him again.
She grinned and pointed behind him where the bus was arriving.
Yuto let out a overwhelmed chuckle and turned around to see where she has been pointing at.
"Take care." she smiled and gently pushed him away from her towards the bus station.
The young man turned around and looked down at her in complete disbelief.
She gave him a grin, lifted her eyebrows towards the bus.
She saw her sisters smile and couldn't help but grin at herself. She still felt the sensation of his lips on hers. Maybe this whole arranged marriage stuff wasn't that terrible after all.
