Hi! I’m Peony. If you have Reddit, you probably have seen me. I’m active on there too, probably more active than on here. I’m a memer… (that’s what we’re called, right?) anyway, I’m pretty bad at introductions. I respond in a timely manner to messages, so don’t worry, I’ll get back to you :) I try my best not to spoil anything, but if there is a slip up. I’m sorry! I’m very talkative. Too talkative for my own good, so I apologize in advance. I love hearing theories about the islanders and what may happen in a season, so do share if you’d like. I stan a lot of islanders. My favorite being Lucas, but I’m also a Suresh stan. I know! I got my clown outfit on already.
I have written a lot of stories, not entirely directed towards a person in particular. So I’ve given writing fanfics about litg islanders a shot. If you want to read them, here they are. My schedule is pretty hectic. For short stories, it’ll take around a day or two to make. For stories that hold chapters, around a week or two.

Everybody Wants To Love You|Suresh/MC|4,761 |in-villa|Chapter 1, Chapter 2
Want litg memes? If you’re not on Reddit, here’s all the memes I’ve collectively made over the course. Since I’m against cluttering, this. I’ve grouped it in the rightful seasons.
season one - Didn’t make much memes of this season. Will do a play through some day.
Author’s note: Story title idea from the song ‘Everybody wants to love you’ by the artist Japanese Breakfast. Chapter title idea from the song ‘Sunflower’ by the artist Michele Leigh.
If you haven’t already, check out Chapter 1 - More. Chapter 2 will be loosely based on episodes 3, 4, and 5. Otherwise, set back, relax, and enjoy!
Almost forgot to mention. Before you dive into this chapter, this chapter includes a saucy scene, but not full-on bits, at least not yet! I’ll give a warning before it gets to that part, so you’ll be able to choose to either read or scroll through it.
Chapter 2 - Sunflower
After having a chill evening with Suresh, I pulled Finn for a chat.
I held Finn’s hand and led him into the unoccupied bathroom.
“I’m glad I could finally catch you before Kat can get her claws on you again.” I chuckled, leaning against the sink counter.
He flexed his muscles. “How could anyone resist?” He waved his hand around. “I usually have a fan club on me. I’m thinking Kat is the username, ‘WhiskersMrsBubble’.” He tapped his chin.
The corner of my lip quirked up. “You’re not wrong. But if you see, ‘Basildonsgirl’ you’ve got her!” I pretended to shoot with my finger guns.
He shook his head. “She’s really something, but I’m certain you didn’t pull me away to talk about her.”
I bit my lower lip. “You’re correct! Listen, although I think you’re an amazing guy… I need some answers from Suresh, and in order to do that, I’ll need to get to know him all over again.” I tapped my foot on the floor. “I hope you understand my wishes.”
I brushed my hand against his shoulder. “You’ll be just fine!”
He swiftly took my hand in his, twirling me around.
Making me gasp, “Finn!” I quietly exclaimed.
“I know. I know. If that is really what you want, so be it! But I reckon your quest won’t be entirely what you’re looking for.” He stared profusely into my eyes, “And if that day ever comes… I’m hoping you’ll take me up on that offer.”
Head hanging low as my hand gently separated us, “I’ll keep that in mind. Please keep this between us.” I glanced at him before leaving the bathroom.
I kept my head down, thinking about what Finn said. ‘won’t be entirely what you’re looking for’. Ugh. But before I knew it, I slammed into Eddie’s chest.
He quickly caught me before I fell. “Sorry!” His eyes darted behind me.
I turned around to see Finn walk ahead of us. “Listen, it isn’t what it looks like!”
His jaw clenched. “It’s fine!” He sat down on one of the beds. “You don’t have to worry. I won’t tell anyone. Could you do me a favor?” He looked up.
I licked my lips. “Sure. What is it?”
“Everything is going well with Kat. I mean, we have so much in common. But I fear that Finn is going to ruin that, and we know Finn doesn’t actually want Kat. I don’t want her to chase after him and end up hurt. Would you be able to stir him away from picking her?”
My jaw dropped, swallowing the lump in my throat. “Eddie, I can’t control who he picks, but I’ll see what I can do. I can tell how much you care for her.”
He smiled before jumping off the bed to hug me, “Thank you!” He let go quickly, “You don’t know how much this means to me. Usually, all the girls I’ve dated were far too mature to like my drama-craving nature.”
I lifted my eyebrow. “Is that really what they had issues with?”
He nodded his head. “But it’s all good. I’m practically friends with all my exes. I never want to end a relationship on bad terms. Always want to leave them on good terms.”
“Why do they usually all end?”
“They say being with me is like being with their girlfriends. Which is kind of mean if you ask me. I may have sort of told one of my ex’s friends that she was talking about her. I just thought that she should know.” He threw his hands up, “I didn’t know there would be that much fallout as a result.”
I bit my lip, “We can’t always be our best.” I patted him on the shoulder. “I should go get ready for bed. I’m sure the rest are already coming, anyway. See ya!” I waved to Eddie before heading to the bathroom.
I smiled as I saw Suresh.
“What’s up?” I raised my eyebrow. “Did you know that the earwax in our ears is the safest bodily fluid out of the others?” I looked over to him while grabbing my toothbrush and applying a little toothpaste.
“Okay, smart, Nyra.” He chuckled.
“Oh, that takes me back.” I flashed a wide smile, “Remember… when we bumped into each other during a meeting?” I turned to him.
He always had those dreamy eyes, the eyes that smother you with love and lust. This time was no different. He looked absolutely smitten. The kind that reminds me why I fell for him.
“How could I forget?” He licked his lips, “You were wearing this checkered dress that later ended up getting stained by my coffee…”
I looked down at the mess. My mouth agape, “Oh. My. Gosh! This is my favorite dress.” I shrieked.
The man stood in shock. Stammering to find anything to clean the mess up. He threw down a brown wool like product on the floor.
Wait a minute. “That looks just like my cardigan.” I choked on my words, “That is my cardigan!”
I turned to him, “I know you’re trying to help, but… you’re just making it worse.”
I grabbed a bag and threw my wet cardigan in it. I headed to the break room, where paper towels stood on the counter.
When I returned, the man was gone. I threw my hands up and finished cleaning up the mess he made. I headed to where my locker would be, but I had no extra clothes.
“How great!” I rolled my eyes and headed to where Papina would be. “Don’t even say it! I know.”
Her eyes looked like they were going to pop out of their socket.
“I wasn’t going to say anything.” She tapped the countertop. “But I do know one thing.” She smiled widely.
“Yeah. And what’s that?” I raised my brow and folded my arms.
She pointed to something behind me. Or should I say someone?
“You!” I scolded him. “Thanks for the mess.”
“Now. Now. Myrna. Take the time to listen to what he has to say.”
I bit my lip in anticipation.
His well figured, well toned, muscular, Adonis built body stood in a fancy tailored suit.
“Well, I felt horrible about the accident earlier, and realized you needed an outfit. So I guess in exchange for the mess I created… I’d like to buy you something. As a form of an apology.”
The way he talked. His accent. I could tell he wasn’t from here. But he had the voice that any girl would fond over, especially in a call or an audiobook. The type that can have you head over heels with just a simple word.
His eyes burned with such passion. It almost felt like they were staring into my soul. Speaking the same tongue.
Could he and I be analyzing each other? Or was it only me?
I heard clapping noises from Papina. “Answer the hunk, Myrna. Or I’ll be taking him up on his offer.”
“I don’t need your money. Or what your money can buy.” I was going to turn on my heels, but a strong, firm arm stopped me.
I looked up at him. Our eyes aligned like the stars in constellations. He had such alluring green eyes. The way his hair was set, it was perfect. You could tell he cleaned up well. It almost felt like he came from a movie, one where he gets the girl of his dreams, the one he has been chasing after his whole life.
I shook my head.
How delusional of me to think someone like him would ever go for someone like myself
“How dare you…” I mumbled, “I will not-"
“It really wasn’t a choice. Your dress is soaked. That can’t be too comfortable. Let down your pride, Nyra.” He whispered.
I sighed, “Fine!” My cheeks felt warm. “Nobody has ever really called me Nyra before.”
“Well, I guess I’ll be the first.” His smile slipped. He looked around, “Now. Where does it scream? Nyra.”
I wrapped my hands around Suresh’s neck. “You were always so persistent.”
He held my hips. “And you were always so stubborn. Always felt like you had to go about things by yourself, needing no one.”
I chuckled, “It wasn’t always like that. Don’t you remember who you were? Before we got together?” I raised my eyebrow.
A knock interrupted us. Finn stood in the doorway. Nodding his head our way.
I sighed, slid my hand down Suresh’s torso until they were back to my side, and walked out.
I headed to the dressing room, where Dana stood.
I grabbed my makeup remover and took off all in a day’s work of makeup. Feeling refreshed as I patted my skin and added a light fragrance free face lotion.
“Oi! I always love knowing others' routines. Is that a face lotion?” Dana peered over to the mini bottle in my hand.
I nodded my head, “Ding! Ding! It’s the one thing I can count on to give me a sense of whiplash, and the good kind. It also doesn’t make me breakout. I’ve got sensitive skin.” I put it down on the table.
While grabbing my chapstick, Kat strolls in.
“Hey! Who’s getting it in tonight?” She looked at us through the mirror, “I'm thinking it’s going to take a lot more confirmation from me for Eddie to do anything. Like a true gentleman.” She slightly smiled.
Dana’s eyes lit up. “Oh my! That reminds me of something that happened back home in Manchester. I had gone on a date with this really kind-hearted Argentinian fella, and everything was going so swell, but then it got awkward once it got to doing any bits. I suppose the reassurance was for safe measures. All in good faith! Safe to say, we only went on four to five dates until we stopped seeing each other.”
Kat looked up. “Why is that? Do you think that whole thing in the bedroom had anything to do with it?” She had a worried look plastered on her face.
Dana shook her head. “It was mostly because of our schedules. I found that our communication wasn’t where I wanted it to be. It didn’t feel fulfilling, or should I say I didn’t feel fulfilled or noticed, to even want to continue.”
Kat grabbed her cosmetic headband. “Oh, I’ve had a lot of those.” She pulled it over her head, down to her neck and untucked her hair, “There are times I look back and wonder… would things have been different if we didn’t have conflicting schedules? Maybe that’s because I just desperately wanted it to work.”
She quickly snapped her head in our direction. “Don’t tell anyone I said that. There is not a moment I’m desperate. Usually, it’s men being desperate over me.”
Dana and I nodded our heads.
“Let’s go get tucked into bed!” Dana pumped the air before hurriedly pulling us out of the dressing room.
I dragged my feet across the floor until I arrived at the right side of the bed. “Move.” I told Suresh.
He rolls over. “Nothing changes with you.”
I threw my pillow at him and earned a snicker from him.
“You better stop laughing, Eshy.” My forehead creased as I knew what I had started.
His mouth set in a hard line, “You did not just call me Eshy.”
The corner of my mouth lifted. “Oh, I did. Eshy bubs.”
He swiftly pulled me into bed, making me fall on top of him.
“You’re going to get it now.”
I bit my lip before I felt the covers pull over us.
“And what are you going to do about it, Eshy?” I seductively whispered.
Mature scene
He got on top of me and straddled my lap.
“You’ll see…”
He kissed me and worked his way down to my chest. He loosened the strings on my robe and tossed it to the lower part of the bed. He made circles around my breasts, taking his time to tease me.
He sucked on my right nipple, making me moan in pleasure. He placed his hand over my mouth, “Remember… there’s other people in the room”
He looked up at me while sucking on my breast. Whilst he was doing that, he started untying my silk shorts and pulling them off. He did the same to his silk pants too.
He kissed all the way down to my thighs and stopped. “I forgot how perfect you are.”
He slid down my panties and hungrily licked his lips. He kissed my inner thighs, trailing up and stopping exactly where he knew I would be pleading to be pleasured.
He knows just how to make me shiver with just his touch. I covered my mouth my hand on top of his as he kept my mouth shut, making a muffled moan.
As he was preparing me with circular motions. He paused and lifted my legs on his shoulders. He searched in his silk pants for something.
"What is it?" I asked him.
"I’m searching for condoms..." He sighed with desperation. “I guess I didn’t grab any from that bowl.”
"Well… why don’t we cuddle instead?”
He nodded his head. “You’re right! Doing that can wait. We have all the time in the world for that. Let’s just enjoy the silence for now.”
Shortly after saying that, my eyes began to feel heavy and I drifted off to sleep.
I rolled over so much that I rolled on top of Suresh. I yawned.
“Good morning to you too!”
With my eyes kept close, “Uresh, you know I’m not good with my mornings. But… I’ll play nice. Good morning!” I yawned again.
He slightly threw me off of him. “Sorry, beautiful. But if we’re going to get you up. Something has to give, and it might be… your sleep. And possibly your kindness towards me for right now.”
“Suresh, what are you talking about?”
And before I knew it I landed flat on my back.
“Usually, when I’m in this position. I’m getting something. But all I want to get now… is revenge.” I shot back up and ran around the room after Suresh.
“Now if it isn’t miss moan for me.” Kat sat up in bed, looking over at Suresh and i.
Dana popped her head in from the dressing room. “Kat, let’s not act like I didn’t find you two competing for the loudest.”
I threw a pillow at Suresh. “Nothing happened last night.” Then hurriedly went to get dressed.
“Nothing happened, huh?” Dana looked at me through the mirror.
I nodded my head.
“I’m sure that’s true.” She lifted her eyebrow, still skeptical.
I exhaled, “There was a little saucy moment, but we didn’t do bits.”
Kat walked in right when I said that.
“How unfortunate!” She added some lip gloss to her lips, “I put those model hands to good use yesterday.” She giggled.
Dana yawned, “Alfie and I didn’t do anything. Hard when there are other people in the room.” She bit her lip, “But at least you lads had a good time. I’m going real slow with Alfie.”
Kat puckered up her lips while applying a hot pink sheer lip gloss, “Going real slow?” She raised her brow, “Is that what we call waiting for the next best thing, and from where I’m standing… I’m assuming it’s Finn.”
Dana sighed, “Don’t start, Kat! I barely know the guy.”
Kat giggled, “And you barely know Alfie. Don’t get me wrong, Alfie’s a good guy, but we all know you have a fear of commitment. Collide heads with someone that… reminds you of yourself. Finn doesn’t seem like the settle down type either.”
Dana fixed her eyebrows, “That is not true! I don’t have a fear of commitment. If anything I thought you and Finn would be a great pair.”
Kat flipped her hair, “Why is that? Is it because he said we would be?” She looked at us.
We shook our heads, “no.”
She turned back around, “Well, I’ll have you know that when I’m into someone I go all in. I’m not afraid to commit. I had a few guys that were…” she looked down, “…wasted my time. A lesson learnt”
Dana lifted her hair up and grabbed a scrunchie to put it in a ponytail.
“By the way…” Dana shifted in her spot, “Myrna, have you even discussed what went on with you two in the past?” She asked me.
My eyes landed on the makeup that stood on the table.
Now that I’m thinking about it… we haven’t exactly talked about her, the woman who I stayed up thinking about. The one who made him forget he had me. He and I weren’t exactly the best at confrontation. We usually tried our best to avoid it, but I guess we couldn't for long.
“Umm… no. We haven’t.” I bit my lip, “But we’re going to.”
Eddie pops his head in the room, “Well, you all are looking very elegant tonight.” His eyes stopped on Kat, “Especially you.” He sighed, “But Finn had received a text, so hurry.”
We nodded our heads and we’re about done getting ready. We rushed down to the living room.
“Finally!” Finn laughed out.
“Let’s get to what the text says now.” Kat says impatiently.
“Okay! Okay!” Finn quickly says before proceeding to read it out loud.
Finn, you’ll be going on a date in the order from the girl you feel the most connected to. Get ready to get your date on, and make sure she fits that old woman love #Adatetoremember #Finnchoice
My eyes wandered to Suresh who stumbled and quickly composed himself.
“I guess you can probably see! It might be me first, but I’m hoping you choose Dana.” Kat licked her lips.
Finn chuckled, “Well, alright! I was actually going to choose Dana first anyways.” Then his eyes landed on me, “Then Myrna…” he went back to Kat, “Then you!”
She gasped, “That is highly offensive.” She rolled her eyes, going back to Eddie’s side.
Eddie raised his eyebrow, “Don’t worry, babe! Maybe it’s for the best.” Putting his arm around her shoulder, making her nod her head and smile.
“You’re right!” She smacked her lips together, “Let’s just get this over with Finn.” She rolled her eyes.
He ran his hand through his hair, “Alright! Alright! Calm down. Since y’all got dressed already… I see no need to specifically dress for this date.”
He turned to Dana, extending his arm out for her to link with his. “Let’s go to something that I think we’ll both enjoy.”
Dana looked back at Kat and I, giggling before returning her gaze on Finn.
My head snapped as I noticed Suresh missing from where he was. I looked through all the rooms and went up to the rooftop.
I saw him looking out at the view. He turned around.
He forced a smile. “I knew it was you the minute I heard those shoes clicking on the floor.”
I chuckled, “I think I recalled you buying these specific shoes for me on my birthday. You got quite used to them.” I took a spot on the sofa, grabbing my knee bringing it up to my chest.
I looked down, “Suresh…?”
His eyes scanned my face. Immediately, it clicked. Like it always did.
Softly whispering, “Myrna…?”
I licked my lips.
Trying to find the right words to say. You would think it would come easy for us. Tip toeing around seemed too old, yet so familiar.
My eyes glimmered. “I never got to…” I swallowed the lump in my throat before looking up at him, “… say what I really felt. I just want to know… do you still think back to that night? And does it keep you up at night like it does to me?”
I held up my hand, continuing.
“How long would you have kept the affair from going if I didn’t find out when I did?”
He sighed, “I don’t think back to that night like you think I do, or in that way. I stare at my ceiling, wondering if there was a way to take back the hurt I caused you. You were never supposed to find out, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t have ended it. I was trying to… I promise.” His eyes sparkled, and he scooted closer to me.
“And now there’s a new guy here who is grafting on you. I can’t help but feel jealous… but I want you to be happy, even if it’s not with me.” He snarled, shaking his head, "Now you know the old me would have never said that, but I don't want to mess up my chance with you, and I can't help but feel like I will."
I opened my mouth, words about to formulate out of it but were stopped by Kat running over to the couch.
"He wants to take you on a date." She pulled me out from the sofa, "You should have seen Dana when she came back. Her mouth was widened." She sighed, "I would have never guessed she'd be my competition."
I glanced back at Suresh before being pulled downstairs and greeted by Finn.
He smiled, "Now if there is one thing about us Dublin men is our immaculate taste in dates."
He led me to the little picnic that wasn't too far from the villa.
"I promise you won't leave disappointed, but I do hope you don't mind me cranking open a beer bottle." He turned to me, "Would you prefer that or some other drink?"
I shook my head, "Beer upsets my stomach," Before sitting down, "Do you have a cold glass of water?"
He checked the cooler before proceeding to throw up a bottle of water and catching it before it landed on the ground.
"That was a close one."
He settled down on the picnic blanket.
He rubbed his beard with one of his hands, "I guess I should tell you more about myself."
I chuckled, "I think that would be a terrific way to start."
He fiddled with some grapes, "I don't want to ever give you the wrong idea, and I want you to know where I am at in my life, so if that isn't exactly what you need right now... I wouldn't be wasting your time."
I nodded my head, agreeing with what he was saying.
"I'm not really looking to settle down yet or get married right now. That's just not what I'm looking for currently."
I tilted my head, "Then why did you come to love island then? I would have to assume you come here to at least be with someone, in a relationship, if that is what you're referring to."
He licked his lips before sitting up straight.
"It's not like I'm here to play the field. If the connection is right, maybe it'll change my mind."
I snickered, grabbing my fork and taking a bite out of my salad.
"So are you saying that Dana, Kat, or I... have to change your mind?” I slightly cracked a smirk, “Tell me more about yourself. Something you think I’d care to know.”
He blew out a heavy sigh, “I’ve never cheated. I’ve been real caught up with my job that I haven’t really had time for a proper relationship. I’ve had many flings with women… particularly, older more experienced ones. They’ve taught me many of my tricks that I know today.” He grinned as he looked out into the open.
I licked my teeth before smiling, "I feel you on that one. I’ve always been attracted to older men. I guess you can tell by my choice in picking Suresh, but he isn’t much older." I took a sip of my water, "Tell me about your family." I tilted my head and used my arms for support.
He cracked his neck before looking down.
"My mom is amazing. She mostly tends to her garden and has a boutique shop very popular during the wedding season. My dad actually got me into what I do for a living..."
He loved talking about his family. He was an only child, and his mother was mostly busy with keeping everything in check so he spent most of his time with his father. He also expresses that he thinks that marriage is okay, but wouldn't want to force settling and end up hurting his partner.
"... My parents relationship... I've always admired it. It's kind of hard to think I'd ever find something like that, that could live up to my expectations."
I straightened my posture, looking at the almost empty water bottle.
"Most people would lie about their goals in life, their hopes, and dreams to impress or get with the person they're into. But you, you're honest. You don't hide a thing and you are blunt. You probably know that some of the stuff you told me would make me turned off from you, but you say it anyway. Rare."
He chuckled, "I don't try to be someone else because what happens when that lie I told catches up to me and the person who only got with me because of that lie... no longer can look at me? I can't allow someone to love an image of me. I found that they rarely work out in the end."
The time had come when the date was over. And we looked at each other before heading back, but before we reached the others he held my hands.
His eyes wrinkled as his smile grew. "I really enjoyed this date, even if I know what you really want." He sighed, releasing my hands.
The others came running up to us.
"You guys were roughly two minutes late." Kat raised her eyebrow. "And just missed Alfie's ability to make a sick drink."
Dana giggled behind Kat. "You know the season where Ibrahim had made a drink and named it 'violet man'?"
I nodded my head.
"Well. Alfie decided to make it, and let me tell you..." She leaned in. "It was so good!"
Kat pushed a hair back behind her ear. "So good that Alfie might just get lucky." She smirked at Dana.
Dana snapped her head, "Kat! Stop it." She looked away, hiding the blush.
Suresh stayed back where it looked like him and Eddie were conversating. Which was odd. Suresh never had many friends. When we were together, my mates were his mates. He only had three mates while we were together. Who knows how many now? But I find it odd for him to be this social?
I thought to myself, but Kat shortly interrupted my thoughts.
"... But anyway, it looks like you and Suresh are getting pretty serious. I mean, it's a little hot seeing him tell his competitors to graft off, not like Eddie would really graft on you. " She looked me up and down.
My mouth agape, "He did what?"
This information completely took me by surprise. If he meant what he said on the rooftop, why was he telling the only men in the villa to graft off me?
I squinted my eyes, sending daggers in Suresh's direction.
Telling porkies is exactly like old Suresh... and I'd hate to find out that nothing has really changed from who he was then to who he is now.
Author’s note: Title idea from the song ‘Halah’ by the artist Mazzy Star. Thank you for your support on the last fanfic! Currently, working on chapter 2 of “Everybody Wants To Love You” so until I’m finished with that, here’s a short fanfic. Enjoy!
He sat on the sofa as I slowly walked up behind him, trailing my nails along his shoulders.
I placed my head in the crane of his neck, “Hey…”
He planted his laptop beside him. “What is it?”
I gasped, “I’m not asking anything from you… well, kinda… do you think you’d have time to make it to the dinner party?”
He sighed, “You know, if I could, I would, Gioia.” His hands landed on his thighs as the laptop next to him lit up. “I’m just too busy with the firm. They’ve been busting my bum these past few months.”
I tilted my head. My eyes wandered to his laptop.
“That’s always your excuse. They’ve never had you working this many hours before.”
He threw up his arms, turning his body to face me, “You always do this, Gioia, always.” Shaking his head.
My brows furrowed. “Always do this. Huh… if that’s the way you see it, fine! But It seems like only one of us is putting aside time for the ones we love.”
He stood up. “I love you! But it seems like whatever I do, which I do for us, is never good enough for you.”
I chuckled, “I barely see you, Suresh. Do you even know what it feels like waiting for you to come home? Reaching for your side, and you’re not there.”
The corner of his lip lifted. “I haven’t even done anything! I know what you’re insinuating. So stop it.” He went around the sofa and reached for my hand. Placing soft kisses on my knuckles.
“Maybe. I just don’t know if you’re even interested in hanging out with me anymore. What happened, Suresh?”
His shoulders tensed. “Nothing has changed. Nothing has happened.”
“Something has changed, Suresh. I just- I don’t want you to hurt me. I don’t want to be disappointed any longer. Not only that, but I just want to know where your head is at?” I cupped his face. “Can you please at least tell me that?” Gently rubbing his cheekbones.
Silence filled the room.
My eyes became glossy. The dwelling of that silence made my heart ache.
My hands slowly fell back to my sides. “I see.” My head hanged low.
I knew Suresh has been acting differently. No matter what he says, a part of me feels it, and my heart will ignore it as it usually does. Because no matter what happens… I will always love him, and he knows that.
I hope that he knows I’m not willing to accept any unacceptable actions, but I’m sure he knows that deep in his core.
He shook his head, “It’s not like that, Gioia. I love you! I want us to grow old together, experience life together.”
My eyes avoided his gaze. “Then why did it take you so long to answer? Is it because you hesitated? That you yourself don’t know what you want.”
He stepped back. “I’m the one who doesn’t know what they want? Me? Gioia, be serious. I’m all about you, about our future together, but you can’t even reason with me without starting an argument. This is for us. I get it. I get you can make some time for your friends. Your work husband. But I can’t just do that. I’m sorry if you’ve felt neglected.”
I rolled my eyes, “You always have to bring him up, don’t you? I told you him and I were just friends. Nothing more. But of course, you would make up crap to defend yourself like always. I take my work very serious. I’m disappointed that you think I don’t. That you don’t value or see my work ethic. You weren’t even here to thank me for the promotion of my boss gave me.”
“I did. I brought you those delicious chocolate raspberry filled cookies from your favorite bakery, KenzieBoop. I also surprised you with that amazing Black dress you wanted to get, but never did. I think my efforts in this relationship have been overlooked.”
I stood there.
The rush of sudden guilt. I’ve been on edge lately from planning my proposal, something that I’ve dreamt about since being with Suresh. Stress, and the pain of trying to keep everything a secret until it was the moment, and I hadn’t even realized how it affected my relationship with him.
Realizing what I had done. “You know, you may be right.” I crossed my arms.
He headed to the coat hanger to put on his jacket. “You can’t even say sorry.”
“You know we’re both stubborn, Suresh.” I raised my voice so he could hear me.
“I think I need some space, some time to think. Don’t wait up for me.” He grabbed his keys before closing the door, then opening it.
“Oh, and forget about the dinner party. I won’t make it. You can tell them.” Then slamming it shut.
I threw myself over the sofa’s back. Picking up my phone to dial Ksenia, a friend.
“It’s one of those nights again, isn’t it?”
I messed with the hem of my sweater, “Yeah… and you’d be surprised who’s at fault this time.”
“No. I actually won’t be.” I heard a groan, "Why don't you just kiss and make up right now?"
I fixed the position of the rings on my finger, "You know it isn't that simple."
She snapped her fingers, "You should run outside in the rain and catch him, kiss under the moonlight, and go back home. Oh, that reminds me I'm bringing the movie Chasing Amy, and you better have upgraded your DVD player."
I sunked myself into the sofa, "You haven't upgraded to streaming services?" I grinned, waiting for her silly reply.
She sighed, "You know that's just one more way of having to share my account with my family. I'm not doing that. Have people forgotten the old days?"
I cackled throwing my feet on the sofa's inside arm.
"Very funny!" I checked my phone, "And would you look at that..."
"Look at what?" She asked, with a higher-pitched tone.
"That movie is on Hulu." I bit my lip.
"If you try to get me to watch it on there again. I might as well go to the bar Suresh goes and talk to that redhead."
My nose flared, while I rolled my eyes, “Shut it." I snapped "Wait... what redhead?”
"See! Conversating with you makes me want to drink." She clicked her tongue, "But I heard from a little birdy about something juicy, and I think you'll want to hear this."
My brows snapped together.
Now I'm curious. Suresh never mentioned he had a new friend. We never keep anything a secret. If he did that, there must be a reason he's keeping this redhead away from me.
"I have a bad feeling about this..."
She inhaled loudly, "Reasonable. I'll be over soon, babes, until then just don't think too much."
I shook my head, "Okay, but hurry up."
We hung up leaving me to ponder.
Who is this mysterious girl? And why hasn't Suresh talked about her?
I wanted emotion! I wanted tears! I wanted begging at Mc’s feet type apology. Where is Suresh’s perfect pre redemption arc? Why did I leave wanting more than I got? Why can’t Suresh leave his bed with Lulu to join my mc’s bed? Is that a crime? I don’t think sooo
This is definitely who I think Nicolas/Johnny inspire to be:
Fusebox doing a mass firing? That’s so 2021 - be original now. But to fire the community team? That’s mad. And we should all be mad af.
The community team launched the official discord server , they run the socials and promo the episodes each week. Okay, I have my own personal issues with them but all that aside, they promised this new server would be a way for feedback to get directly to the game developers in a much better way and our voices actually be heard.
Twitter posts from former employees gives us a scary timeline. We can see they started around May 2022 and got made redundant end of October 2022. Not even 6 months. We can only speculate at the moment why this is but I have a couple of theories:
1. Fusebox is financially struggling. I guessed this with the major gem increases we’ve been seeing. Just makes sense. Then to make most of a team redundant? A team you only just really invested in? Guess they say Last Ones In, First Ones Out.
2. Socials are platforms where people can vent their frustrations and thoughts about the current season. Needless to say, the comments this season are not exactly nice. So in managements eyes are the community team not doing their job of getting people hyped for episodes and singing their praises? But tbh, this shouldn’t be blamed on the community team. It’s hard to promote shit but tbh they do try, I’ll give them that.
Could be a combination of the two. Community team’s not getting people to spend their hard-earned gems. The discords dead, the Instagram is a mess and don’t even get me started on the subreddit.
But what can we take from this? Their promises of “we’re listening and passing on feedback!” Are you? Okay, if you were, you’re not now, so who is??
I asked in the official discord and my comment got deleted soooo… we LOVE being silenced.
These problems all come from the top. Simple research into employee welfare tells you management is shite. And this further cements it.
If you were debating on whether to mod your app or not, just do it. I can help you, just send me an ask. iPhone users, we’ve also figured out how to do it.
I am trying to finish the Suresh route, but it's really trying. I am just throw by Suresh's non actions towards Nicholas/Johnny when they started spewing all the lies and bs about the MC. He was with the MC for over a year, why didn't he say anything or defend her? Then with the SMP challenge. Why would he not only choose Gabi to kiss and kiss her in a way he used to hold the MC to kiss her knowing good and well - the MC would have to watch that. To me that is what whole new level of cruelty. Then he chooses to marry Meerat knowing good and well she is a bitch to the MC and has been bullying her rentlessly. I think those are honestly the final 3 things that will seal Suresh's fate with my MC. My MC has reached her limit and is climbing out of the clown car
I understand that according to Eddie that Suresh has some "grand plan" to get the MC back, but he's basically ignored the MC since he's returned from Casa Amor. Not only that, but he's found the time to chat with Gabi on more than one occasion since returning from Casa Amor.
People keep thinking that Finn's declaration will jolt Suresh into action. If that's the case, my MC is not interested. Because if it takes Finn's public declaration of his feelings for the MC to jump start Suresh then it's not worth it. If he does that my MC will feel like Suresh is only making an effort because he doesn't want the MC to be with Finn. If he truly wanted the MC back, he would have have defended the MC against Nicholas'/Johnny's accusations after Never Have I Ever; he would not have chosen Gabi and Meerat in the SMP Challenge; and he would have publicly declared his feelings before Finn did. Suresh's actions do not match those of someone who loves the MC and would do anything to win her back.
When it comes to this season, I am honestly at a loss. All I know is that consistency is not in Fusebox's vocabulary when it comes to this season.
I would love for any insights, thoughts, or opinions you have.
babe you're not looking at this from Suresh's POV! When you add up his actions for the season, not just the past few weeks, you see the build up and you see exactly why he's not defending MC with Nicolas/Johnny. For one, when he comes into the villa he's constantly being attacked by the other islanders, including MC for cheating. It's a reoccurring theme for him, but even still he tells her he's going to fight for her. MC never gives Suresh an inch. So much so that he actually thinks maybe she would be happier with someone else. Her and Alfie get on so well, maybe I'll just let them give it a go. But the SECOND they're together he can't handle it. And it's not because Suresh is threatened by Alfie, he's so in love with MC he hates seeing her with anyone else. So much so that he flirts with her and eventually bares his soul to her. He becomes more vulnerable than he's ever been in the villa. And he puts the decision in MC's hands, he puts the ball in her court. And obviously they go away to casa. But here's the thing, MC had time that night to make up her mind, and he knows that. She went around and had a chat with Finn, with the girls, there was plenty of time for her to just say "hey I want you too". So he goes to casa amor with this in mind. He's obvi devastated so he cracks on to Lulu. And as much as he tries to move on from MC, he just cant. There's no spark with Lulu, and he tells Eddie that he's just going to use Lulu to get his spot back in the villa and win MC back. But then he walks in and GABI is there. He knows she's been in the villa with MC, possibly feeding her lies and upsetting MC. MC is vv disappointed in him, calls him a cheat, kicks off and then says she wants a "new beginning" in her recoupling speech with Nicolas/Johnny. In Suresh's mind he has no idea what their connection is or isn't, all he hears is that MC wants something new. not him. In his mind MC is over him. She wants nothing to do with him anymore. Which is why he never pulls her for a conversation after Casa. It's why he avoids her gaze. And even when Nicolas/Johnny was starting that drama around MC, you'll notice that the time that Suresh does speak up was when he thought she was talking shit about him. Because he cares so much about what MC has to say about him. Kissing Gabi in SMP...was a choice. tbh I dont have the best explanation for this and at the end of the day, he kissed her bc he wanted to. But Meera I think makes absolute sense. Her proposal was a throw away proposal. Suresh wouldnt risk giving it to MC and be vulnerable again. He's done it before to humiliating consequences. In his mind the ball is in MCs court if she wants to tell him how she feels. If he gave it to Kat / Dana it might look like he was grafting. He didnt want to give it to anyone of actual importance. Thats why Meera was perfect. He barely has spoken more than three words to this girl. He doesn't know her. But also when Gabi does propose to him, he looks at MC!!! even in her moments he's still looking at MC. This man is HURTING...MC hasn't given him ANY reassurance, ANY sign that she might possibly want him back. And we don't have a Chelsea this year that will run and tell him for us 😭.
Another thing about SMP...everything done was made to prop up Finn and make him look like a viable LI. No Suresh/Alfie girly would even consider Finn if we'd gotten proposals from Suresh/Alfie. Thats why they did the same thing on the Alfie route and made him kiss Kat. And if you're on his route, Kat even says you've gotten better at kissing or something like that...FUCKING ANNOYING TBH. I'd be fuming if I were on that route. We're meant to hate Suresh/Alfie for their SMP choices.

I decided to rewrite season 5 with my own fanfic. Check out: @kvngdomheartz and @luckyqueenreign. They’ve got good Suresh/Mc fics. Chapter 1 will be loosely based on volume I, including, both Episode 1 and 2. I do use some information from s5 like dialogue and some challenges, but it’ll be written completely by me otherwise. Enjoy!
Chapter 1 - More
I took a deep breath before my heels clicked hard against the cobblestone. My hand was still on the car door frame before closing it. I looked up at the entrance to the villa.
This was where I was going to be staying. To find love, friendships, and of course, the 50k prize in the end. Hopefully. Fingers crossed.
My thoughts were interrupted once an energetic girl came sweepingly in sight.
She waved to me, “Hello! I’m Dana.” She flashed a smile before linking her arm with mine to head into the villa.
My head turned to face her, “Hey, I should probably introduce myself. I’m Myrna.” Returning a smile back, “Is it only you here? Or where is everyone else?”
Dana whirled around, “This other girl Kat is getting the champagne bottle ready for us. She can’t find a cork opener, and she said it was vital.” She studied me before saying anything, “I need your advice on something.”
I bit the inside of my cheek, “I’m not sure if I’m well equipped in fashion.”
She grinned, “Me neither. I would ask Kat, but I know she isn’t the most unbiased person.”
I would rather know more about this Kat than help her with her wardrobe but saying that would be rude.
“She sounds like a piece of work.” I pursued my lip, “But I doubt she’s that bad. Maybe she just needs to warm up to us. I have some mates back at home who acted cold until we got closer.”
She twirled her hair, “I suppose you’re right. This is where we’ll sleep.”
I couldn’t believe my eyes. I was standing in the villa’s bedroom. It looks even more vibrant than from watching it on television.
“I can’t believe we’re going to be sharing a bed with blokes we barely know.”
My palms begin to get clammy, “Oh, yeah! How could I have forgotten that!” I forced a smile.
Her eyes twinkled, “You’re nervous. Relax!” She squeezes my shoulders, “You can always tell them to go sleep on the daybeds. Your choice.”
We entered the dressing room. She started to dig into an orange bag, and clothes started flying everywhere until she reached the piece she wanted.
“Is it bad?” She raised her eyebrow. “I’ve been thinking about changing my style. I bought a new wardrobe for this.” She placed her head in her hand, “Who knows if it’ll be worth it.”
My feet stammered back.
People spent money on buying new clothes to be on this show? Now that I’m thinking about it… I probably should’ve invested more into it too.
Leaning against the wall, I peered over at her. The full bathing suit pressed against her chest. The bathing suit had a blue and yellow flower embroidered on it.
“You want my honest opinion?” I asked her, raising my eyebrow.
She nodded her head.
I sighed, “Your fashion sense seems to be stuck in the 2000s, babes.
Her hand massaged her temple, “That was what I was afraid of. I thought that it would be better to switch it up a bit to remind myself nothing is permanent.”
She bit her lip. Putting back her swimsuit before turning back to me, “You’re lucky it’s summer because you’re sweating so much that it’s becoming humid in here.”
I narrowed my eyes, “Jeez! Thanks, Dana.”
Before I could leave the room, and escape from who seemed like the only person here. A head popped into the room.
I jumped back, cupping my body from being caught off guard, “Girl, I thought you were a human Shih Tzu.” Shaking my head.
A shriek came from her mouth, and she stared at the ground, her mouth agape.
“Close your mouth, Kat. Before flies can lay their bodies in your gigantic mouth. It’ll be like a palace for them.” Dana playfully bumped her shoulder into mine.
Kat properly regained her composure, her heels clicked against the floor with each step she took entering the room, she poked Dana. “Not funny!” Lifting her finger, “I’ll have you all know that my hair is liked by many.”
Dana looked over at me before returning her gaze to Kat, “Yeah, who? Bartholomew?”
She raised her eyebrows, “Wait!” Followed by gasping, “How did you know about him? And his name is Bartholomew A. Bittlebun, JR.” She rolled her eyes.
I folded my arms, “Isn’t that from that one girl who starred in that handsome actor Rafi’s movie?” Tapping my chin, waiting for Kat’s response.
Kat furrowed her brows, “Hmm… yes! She only got like fifteen seconds in screen time...”
While Kat talked I worked on fixing up my mascara and lipstick. I sprayed some of my hairspray in my hair before turning back to Kat and Dana.
She reached for Dana and my wrists, “But that’s not why I came here. We need to not waste the bubbles they have!”
Interrupted immediately by a ping has us standing in the bedroom waiting.
“Girls! I got a text.” She yelled then quickly began to read it out for us.
Hope you girls are settling in nicely because we have a surprise for one of you. A burnt-out match that came to be reignited. #HereComeTheBoys #FirstCoupling
Our eyes landed on each other.
“What could that mean?” I asked them while playing with my hair.
Kat shrugged, “Why don’t we go see for ourselves?” She signaled us to follow her.
We were walking too slow, “Can you babes hurry up?” She linked our hands together.
We could see the view from the living room, but before we were out on the lawn, she released my hand.
“You made my hands all moist.” Kat hissed, glaring at me.
“And we all know there’s only one time when that’s acceptable.” Dana chuckled.
“Oh, you’ll find out soon when I hump one of these guys like a large hunk of log.” Biting her lip, smirking.
“I could see you being a tree hugger.” I clicked my tongue, nodding my head.
“Shouldn’t we establish a few things first before going out there?” Dana said, swallowing a lump in her throat.
Kat shook her head, “The only thing to remember is to stay out of my way. I don’t care much about cats, but I’m willing to claw you lot if you steal my man.”
Dana snarled, “They’re not yours to claim, Kat.”
Kat shrugged her shoulders, “Let’s see about that.” She gathered herself, turning back at us, winking before walking out first.
She strutted her stuff, running her hands through the loose sides of her hair.
She stopped in front of a preppy blonde hair boy.
Her hands swayed their way to her hips, “Hey, blondie, do you like what you see? Could I possibly be a bit of you?” She pouted her lips.
He stuttered, rubbing his nape, and left blushing.
She rolled her eyes, “Never mind! I like men who go after what they want, and it’s clear you’re not my kind of guy.”
He objected, “Not at all! I mean, you’re drop-dead gorgeous, and I’d care to take you out on a picnic date.”
Her head snapped in our direction, and her eyes enlarged.
“Well, that’s just factual. I’m like Madonna before Madonna. You look far too clean. I’m into bad boys, but my nan wants me to find someone like you. I can’t see why, like, what’s wrong with my taste? I have great taste...”
Dana looks over at me, “Hey! There’s no reason why we should be letting her have the spotlight. Let’s make an entrance.”
I straightened myself before walking out there with Dana.
“Oi! When can we get a piece of the action?” She yelled out.
A hunky man with trousers came jogging up to us. “My bad loves. The name is Alfie, I’m the kind of guy you call to get your wooden floors installed while pretty boy Eddie over here is the one you call to find out what’s the best product to make those hands smooth.” He raised Eddie’s hands for us to see.
We peered over and admired his soft hands.
“See what I’m talking about?” He laughed before being playfully knuckled in the shoulder.
“Hey! I’m not just a pretty face, you know.” Eddie rolled his eyes, “People just don’t look beyond my face, right? To see what’s inside my heart? I have so much more to provide, like love, attention…”
Kat interrupted him before he could finish, “Pipe it, Eddie! I need to know the cream asap.” She turned to us, “I’ve never wanted a pair of hands to brush against my cheek as much as I do now.”
Dana giggled before heading to the kitchen. While Kat and Eddie went over to the pool to talk about his secret to modeling hands.
I flashed Alfie a smile, “So what do you do? Are you a construction worker?” I tilted my head.
He chuckled, “No. No. I’m a carpenter. I work exclusively with wood. What about you?”
I let my hands drop to my side, “I’m an office worker. My job is to sell and present services and products.”
“Ah! A sales representative. I’ve met a few while working the job. They’ve always seemed to be pushy.” He looked down, then up, “Not that I’m insinuating that you’re pushy!”
I bit my lip, “It’s alright. I have to be persistent. One of the things I strictly put away when I’m not working.” I messed with my bracelet, “What brings someone as good-looking as you on Love Island?”
He turned his head, “I want to meet someone that I can see myself growing old with. I haven’t found much luck on the outside, so I’m hoping that’ll be different here.”
Dana came back with three bottles of water. She handed one to me and the other to Alfie.
“I can see where you’re coming from, Alfie. Inside here. I at least know people’s motives, there are only three. Love, money, and the game. Are you playing the game, Myrna?” She looked over at me, taking a sip of her water.
My gaze fell to the ground, “No. I do not appreciate or participate in games.”
Dana’s gaze landed on something behind me, and I could hear footsteps.
“Myrna?” A husky voice said behind me.
I knew who that voice belonged to. A guy I thought I’d never see up until today.
I gulped before gaining the courage to turn around. The corner of my mouth lifted, “Suresh? I can’t believe it’s you!”
“Long time coming, don’t you think?” He flashed his arrogant grin.
I knew him far too much to notice the way he brushed his fingers against his belt, hiding the fact that he was nervous. Nervous to see me. Nervous to know what I’ll say.
“Why are you here, Suresh?” My brows bumped together, “I know your strongest suit isn’t in relationships.” My hands landed on my hips.
“Ouch!” Eddie yelped, picking up something from the ground, “why was there a sharp thorn on the ground? Someone could’ve seriously hurt themselves.”
Kat placed her hand on his shoulder, “Hunny, now that’s just nature.”
Dana shushes them, “Myrna, you know him?” Pointing at Suresh.
A familiar face with a tribunal past, and I’m not just saying that because he’s a corporate lawyer. If only he did right in our relationship. We wouldn’t need to stand glaring at each other on love island.
“That’s a good question. After what he did, it made me realize I didn’t know him at all.”
Eddie came chiming in, “My ears were tingling, how juicy do you think it is?” He asked Kat.
“As juicy as a peach, hunny.” She beamed.
“I’m sorry, guys, but I need some time alone.” I walked pasted them and headed to the rooftop.
I dragged my foot towards the coach. My bum was comforted by the soft cushion as I held a pillow against my body.
I didn’t think my past would follow me. In fact, when I saw him, all I wanted to do was to wake up from this nightmare, a nightmare that seemed to have gone on way too long. Some hidden feelings resurfaced once I heard his voice. It brought me back memories of the good and bad. It was always him and I against the world, we did so much together that it was hard once it ended, and I had to learn how to be alone again.
I lowered my head.
I thought going to therapy would help, and it did for a short period. I couldn’t get over what he did. I couldn’t get over him, sometimes, I would wake up and look over at the space beside me, wishing he was there to comfort me. I tried to stop dreaming about him, but he would always pop up no matter how much I tried to get him off my mind… I just couldn’t shake him.
I lifted my head when I heard clacking.
The heels tapped against the stairs as Suresh slowly came into view.
He swung his body back and forth, “Hey, you.” He hesitated to take a seat next to me.
“Don’t ‘hey you’ me.” I hugged the pillow tighter, “What are you doing here, Suresh?”
He placed his hands on his thighs, “Well, I would be lying if I said I came on here looking for a fresh start.” He took a deep breath, “I came on here because I wanted to rewrite all the wrongs I did. I couldn’t sleep, or go on about my day without being haunted by what we had. I don’t know what came over me, but… I heard from a mate of mine that you were going to sign up to be on this show. I thought, ‘wow! This would be a great time to have an excuse to see you and redeem what we once shared.’ And I plan on doing that. As long as you’ll have me.”
My lips quivered, my nose crinkled, and my eyes began to well up.
“I’m Sorry, Myrna.” He wrapped his hands around me and indulged me in a hug, “Don’t cry, beautiful. Especially over me. I promise you…. I won’t make the same mistake twice. I’ll prove it to you every day as long as I live because… our story doesn’t deserve a goodbye.”
Our conversation is soon interrupted by Kat yelling for us to come back down.
He helps me off the couch and leads the way to the garden.
He bit his lip, “Just so you know, I’m here for you, and only you.” He placed his hand over my shoulder.
We rejoin the group.
Kat threw her hands up, “Finally! That felt like forever waiting for you two. It reminds me of this time in Basildon where I had to wait in a line with like six elders that took forever to move forward.”
Dana shook her head, “Anyways…” she continued, “I guess we should get ready to couple up.”
“Myrna, you should go first.”
Kat looked like she was about to object but Dana stopped her.
“Great! I’d like to couple up with this person because I feel like there’s some unfinished business. I want to couple up with Suresh.” I tried to hide the twinkle in my eyes.
Suresh flashed his cocky smile to the lads, “Thanks, beautiful. I was hoping you’d pick me anyway.”
Eddie rolled his eyes, “What a shame! A pretty girl like you shouldn’t be with an undeserving fish flopper.”
Alfie turned to him, “What’s with the comebacks mate?”
“I’m a lover, not a disser.”
Alfie shook his head, “But he’s right! Even if he couldn’t execute it well. Being pied off by a girl picking her ex is at a new time low for Alfie boy.”
Kat clicked her tongue, “How did your speech become somewhat worse than Eddie’s? But, my turn, because Alfie seems to be dead set on the second best in the villa… I’ll couple up with Eddie. My nan better be happy right now.”
Dana flashed a nervous smile, “Right! My turn. There are not many options I have to choose from. Unless you count the missing cork opener. I’ll couple up with Alfie because I’m hoping he’ll change my view on love.”
Everything came to a halt once Dana’s phone pinged.
“I got a text!”
Islanders be ready because it’s about to be Finn-tastic with a Finn-surprise! #BombshellComing
Kat beamed, “Ooh, a new boy!” She turned to Eddie, “Sorry, babe.”
Dana raised her chin, “Now who could walk in here?” She tapped her chin.
A long redhead muscular man that had dashing tattoos, and abs saluted us, “I’m Finn. I had to make sure I looked my best for the pretty ladies in front of me, and to try to fix a cork opener, which now that I’m here, would be pointless to have.”
Kat took the cork opener from his hand, “I have been looking all over for that damn thing…” she took a step back making sure to take in the sight of him, “Wow! You’re such a hunky spice tool. With tattoos.” She turned to us, “I hope nan doesn’t mind!” She whispered quietly.
“I’m glad we have you, geezer. Now we can finally play pirates of the Caribbean.” Alfie nodded to him.
Eddie’s face went pale, “More competition. How fun.” Laughing nervously.
Dana patted Eddie, “Don’t worry, guy. I’m sure you have nothing to worry about.”
Finn’s phone pinged, “I got a text!”
Finn, you have twenty four hours when you’ll be able to couple up with a girl of your pick. The boy in the couple you break up, will be left single and at risk. #SourHearts #TakeYourChoice
Finn glanced over at the boys, “Sorry, mates. No hard feelings.”
The boys simmer down, leaving the area in silence making it become awkward real fast.
Finn looks amazingly good, but somehow, I can’t help but gawk over at Suresh.
“Can I feel your tats?” Kat asked Finn.
He grins, “Sure thing! Don’t forget to compliment my biceps when you do.”
Eddie rolled his eyes, “So looks like I should be worried. Kat looks like she’d be a bit of Finn.”
Alfie observed Finn, “Hey, man! Who knows he could have immaculate taste and choose Dana.”
Dana flashed him a smile.
“Boys. Boys. Boys. All will be told when it comes.” He winks at them.
“So good at being mysterious. Not the best though, not like me. Myrna could never go for good, she’s always strived for the best.” He said, confidently smirking.
“I’ve got more up my sleeves than I can show, but, if we’re talking about based on first impression, all of y’all are a bit of me.” He boldly makes eye contact with me, “If Suresh is your ex Myrna then you can do better. But must I say, he’s got great taste. Must be because you’re delira to meet.”
I lifted my shoulder in a half shrug, “Grafting pretty hard already.”
Suresh pulled me closer to him, having his hand on my waist, “Pull all your cards. It takes more than a couple of words to get her.”
Finn chuckled, “Does it also take a couple of words to lose her too?”
In the corner of my eye, I could see Suresh’s knuckles turn white.
I knew that stung Suresh, especially if it reminded him of his wrongdoings.
My phone pings, “Y’all know the cue. I got a text!”
Islanders, be prepared because you’ll be taking part in a lovely couples quiz hosted by your personal pirate Finn #HowWellDoYouKnowThem #QuizThatCouple
Suresh whispered into my ear, “This should be easy. I could never forget anything about you.”
I nodded my head, “It’s hard to forget someone like me, babe.”
Kat clapped her hands together, “Well, I don’t know about you guys, but we should have a chat with our couples, even though I know Eddie and I don’t need a chat privately. I feel like I’ve known him my entire life.” She sent a prideful look my way.
We all agreed. Suresh and I went over to the daybeds.
We sat closely, nothing out of the ordinary between us.
Suresh broke the silence, “It feels good to finally be talking to you again. I know we’ll ace this quiz, we’ve always been good at doing things as a couple. We were like missing puzzle pieces for each other. Fit so well together. There was never a boring moment between us. You’ve always been the light of my day. I just hope you know that, and I won’t make the same mistake and lose you.”
I looked down at the ground, “I’ll admit hearing you talk has me right in my feelings. I know admitting all this… the past you… would have a hard time conveying your feelings, and confessing your mistakes. So I’m happy to see that improvement from you. I… I want us to work. I know it’s early in our couple in here, but I want to give it another shot.”
Suresh’s thigh brushes against mine, and he raises his head, his gaze lands on my lips.
“I want to kiss you so much right now, but I’m resisting for you.”
“But what if I don’t want you to resist? We’ve always been good at physicality, let’s see if we still have it?”
He brushed his finger against the bottom of my lip before planting a kiss on them.
The heavy exhales brush against my cheek. I should be stopping this, keeping the distance between us as possible. But being near old flames has never felt so good as it does when it's snuggled behind Suresh’s eyes. The lust pulls me in, fire, daring me to touch it as my heart skips a beat feeling pure excitement. Every last piece of control in my body breaks, and I move my lips to him, curious and lustful about the past flames, the flare. The hand that was once holding my face climbs its way down to my waist, and it doesn't take much effort until Suresh climbs on top of me. In a moment our bodies turn into hungry animals. Making it seem as if we are the only people on this earth.
We stop as we hear a cough. Dana stood there, flushed.
“Sorry. To interrupt. But… I got a text!” She avoided our gaze.
Suresh and I regained our composure.
Islanders, don’t worry the time has come to get to know your new couple. Please would you head over to the fire pit for the couples quiz. #CoupleGoals #TestingTheWaters
“Hooray!” Kat exclaims excitedly.
We all head to the fire pit sitting in our couples. Finn stands in front of us with a deck of questions.
“Are all y’all ready to rumble? I hope y’all are good with quizzes.”
Kat smirks, “Oh, Peach, let me tell you something. I went to this bar in Basildon and they’d have quizzes there, and who would’ve guessed it… I won each one, so bring it on!”
Dana chuckled, “I don’t know if I’m that confident. I’m not that good at quizzes, but I could never turn down one.”
“I’m confident that I’ll be good at this. When it comes to our relationship I was always the winner.” I playfully bumped my shoulder into Suresh’s.
“Hey! Hey! Now let’s just say… I let you win. If I didn’t you’d become a sore loser.” He sent an air kiss my way.
I turned back to Finn, crossing my arms.
Finn grins, “It’s about to get saucy in here mates. I hope you’re ready.” He looks over at Suresh and me, “I’m in a pretty chaotic mood, so Suresh and Myrna, you’re up first.”
Suresh relaxed his shoulders, “Bring it on! I know Myrna like the back of my hand.” He sent me a smoldering look.
“What is Myrna’s favorite date?” Finn lifted his brow, wondering if Suresh would guess it right.
“I’m going to say… our Monte Carlo trip. We had a blast! And Myrna was always a sucker for romance, and what’s more romantic than that? I’d go into specifics but that would be telling. The dinner on the boat was everything…” He grinned at me, placing his hand on my thigh.
“You’re correct! Although, I’d prefer something more laid back for a date. Like a picnic on a beach… maybe I’ll be able to take one of you girls on a date… don’t want to go into details, you’ll just have to see.”
Eddie shuffles in his seat, “Got to remind us, huh? Don’t play with all these girls’ hearts if you actually just want one in particular.”
Finn brushes Eddie’s comment off, “What is Myrna’s biggest turn off?”
Suresh confidently looks over at me, “Definitely a man who doesn’t know what they want. Myrna wants to feel secure.”
“Then why is she trying to be with you again?” Finn crosses his arms, looking sternly at Suresh.
“Clearly because I’m the better option. Y’all aren’t even competition to me at this point.”
Finn cackled, “Sure, mate. Next question. Has Myrna ever flirted to get free stuff?”
I flashed a fake smile.
“No, never. She didn’t flirt with anyone else, and if she did I would know about it.”
Finn smirked as he looked down at the card, “And that my friend… is where you’re wrong.”
Suresh did a once over before rubbing the back of his nape.
“Obviously that’s half true. I never needed to flirt to get free stuff. I remember being in this store, the Pumpkin store, and there happened to be a man there who offered to give me something free that cost at least $65. Who am I to turn that down?” I asked the group.
Kat nodded her head, “Yeah! You’re right! It’s not our fault we’re hot and people happen to reward us with gifts because we blessed them with our presence. Nothing bad about that. She technically didn’t flirt then.”
Wow! This was the first time Kat was being nice. That shocked even me, but deep down I knew she was going to come around eventually.
“Enough. Enough. Finn did it again. It’s time for Myrna to answer questions. What is Suresh’s biggest turn on?”
I squeezed Suresh’s hand, “Obviously, during foreplay, he would go nuts for a bit of role-playing.”
Finn checked the answer, disappointment plastered across his face, “That’s the right answer! Again… What is Suresh’s biggest regret?”
I bit my lip, “I- that’s tuff. I’ll say his biggest regret is not being able to go on that cruise with me and our mates. He was pretty bummed out about that.” I snickered remembering the moment a little too well.
Finn made an imitation of a buzzer sound, “Wrong! His biggest regret was cheating on you.”
Suresh looked down, and I slowly laid my head on his shoulder.
“I think you lads need to find another thing to be the bud of the joke, don’t forget I was the one cheated on, not you, or you or you.” I pointed to the boys, “So be a little considerate, okay?”
They all nodded their heads, and then the game continued.
There was a bit of laughter, and embarrassment as the rest of the islanders got quizzed. When it was over I chose to dip my toes in the pool, soaking in the good weather and feeling the cool breeze brush against my skin.
I felt someone sit next to me, and I lifted my sunglasses, “Oh, hey, Suresh, what’s going on with you? I saw you and the blokes working out…”
He sighed, resting his head on my lap, “Uh, yeah! Kat kept on flirting with Finn, and Eddie was upset but he wasn’t going to outright say that. I’m so glad we’re not having to deal with anything like that. Makes me wonder what they have in store for us next.”
I brushed my fingers through his hair, “Well, the least we know is that there’s going to be a recoupling, but I doubt he’ll pick me.”
I knew Finn sort of had been eyeing me. Oh, who am I kidding, he’s even let Suresh know, but I didn’t want Finn to interrupt Suresh and I’s reconnection. Plus, there were things I needed to know, and It was going better than I thought, and something I have been wanting for a while. Maybe I’ll have a chat with him later but for now I’m going to spoil myself by soaking in the moment, something I rarely ever do.
I was in good fun, called Suresh's public defender yesterday and I feel like I need to uphold my title...so here we go
In the case of Suresh vs The People @litglola presented us with evidence as to why Suresh isn't getting a redemption arc, and rather why FB never intended to give him one. I'll proceed with my evidence as to why not only is he getting one, but he definitely deserves one. Not going to go line by line on her theory, more so just showcasing why i feel like we are getting a redemption arc.
Please no hate to Lola💖 she scared the shit out of me with her theory so I had to write this to calm my own nerves 😭
Exhibit A: FORESHADOWING…There are multiple instances this season where people ask MC if she wants to take Suresh back, Suresh asks MC to take her back, and people just give their overall opinion on the matter. And there’s one thing that is said over and over again. IT’S GOING TO TAKE TIME. FB tells you from the beginning that if you want Suresh, settle in because it’s going to be a while. Even if you choose the options where you actively want Suresh back, MC still tells Suresh “he needs to pull out all the stops.” She tells Dana “He’s got a long way to go to win me back.” Alfie says “Yeah, might take a while to work out where your heads at.” Suresh says "It's how it ends, not how it starts. And it feels like we're just getting started again now." And then later, “I’ll give you all the space you need. I'm ready to play the long game.” On the date Finn takes MC on he tells her she shouldn’t look backwards and you have an opportunity to tell you still have feelings for Suresh and he says ``is that enough to heal all the wounds though?” And MC responds “MAYBE IT JUST TAKES TIME”. TIME. TIME. TIME. They told us from the very start, we’re getting a redemption but it’s going to take time. Why give us all these hints leading us in the path of a long-waited redemption,if they weren’t giving us a redemption arc? And think about it his redemption isn’t going to come overnight, they’ve already told us multiple times throughout the season it’s going to take time.
Exhibit B: SURESH HAS NO IDEA WHERE MC’s HEADS AT…This isn’t just true after Casa Amor but throughout the entire season. When they first walk into the villa, he pretends to not be threatened by the other boys but then in the same breath says to MC “Surprised to see you taking a break from riling me up.” And here’s the thing you could’ve kept it SUPER PG with the boys, even pieing them off but Suresh always gives you the same reaction. He always believes that MC is flirting with the other guys and trying to move on from him. But he’s not even the only one, Finn also tells MC that the boys in the villa are crazy about her and Eddie pulls her to tell her that Alfie is crazy about her as well. Suresh has to know all of this. And with MC hanging out with them, laughing at their jokes, going on dates with them, etc. This has to make him MASSIVELY insecure about where he stands with her. It’s why he pulls Alfie for a chat about MC and tells him the only reason why she’s flirting with him is to make him jealous. It’s why he confronts her about it and tells her that she’s just playing games to put him off. Boldly claiming “I’m going to win you back. I know I said I need to convince you, and I will.” But it doesn’t end there, GUYS MC ASKS HIM FOR SPACE atm…the game forces MC to pull back from Suresh when he’s feeling vulnerable about his position with her. Which again is a CONSTANT this season…we will get back to this again.
Exhibit C: SURESH’S BEHAVIOR GOES FROM WORSE TO WORSER…I think we learn a lot about MC + Suresh’s dynamics, when they speak to one another and when we hear MC speaking about him to the other islanders. Suresh claims MC plays games and MC claims the same about him. “Suresh has a habit of making things complicated but I don’t think he would sabotage me on purpose.” Honestly, I think FB wants us to see that they’re both toxic and messy. Because let’s remember FB wants you to flirt with Alfie, they want you to be coupled with him and for it to appear to Suresh that you’re moving on. Which is why we see his immature and shitty behavior after he couples up with Arlo. It’s why when you walk in after the skinny dipping rumor, Suresh is going absolutely nuts looking for his shoe. The man is salty, he’s jealous, he knows he’s fucked up but he plays MC’s game right back to her. My MC played FB’s game and she flirts with Alfie and kisses him on the date, Suresh is fuming and does the same. He becomes reckless flirting with MC on his date with Arlo because he’s desperate, he’s finally seeing that he might possibly lose her and he is spiraling and can’t handle it. I never said his actions were good, we know he’s the literal anti-hero, but that’s precisely why he needs to be redeemed.
Exhibit D: THE PRE CASA AMOR SPEECH…After weeks of having absolutely no idea where MC’s head was at, seeing her sleep next to another boy, kiss other boys, Suresh FINALLY laid his cards on the table. He’s VULNERABLE like we’ve never seen him before. He tells her he wants to be with her, he gives her an ultimatum to tell him that night which we obviously know never happens. But I think this speech is the catalyst for all of his shitty post casa amor behavior. AND THIS SPEECH IN IT OF ITSELF we see how much he still loves MC here. He was the ONLY one to go up and check on her. He deserves redemption off of this speech alone
Exhibit E: POST CASA AMOR SHITTY BEHAVIOR…These past two weeks i’ve been so confused. How could FB give us such a massive break in character? This is quite literally not the Suresh I know but an evil twin. And then NOPE…add up all the evidence you see above and that is precisely why we see his post-CA behavior. Every volume before this the man is extremely expressive, Suresh looks at you, smiles at you, frowns at you, etc. After Casa? NOTHING. He avoids your eye. He doesn’t speak to you. Why? Because he’s been vulnerable, he’s put it all out on the line for MC, ALL SEASON and when he finally went super hard for her and really made a go for it she still didn’t reciprocate his feelings. He’s in his head. He’s lived in his head all season long, it’s not surprising that he’s still in there. During SMP, In my eyes this was Suresh’s moment to redeem himself to finally speak to MC in front of everyone and confess his feelings for her, in front of the entire villa. And then he kissed Gabi. Stab in the heart. And then he married Meera. I GASPED. I was so CONFUSED. I tried to make sense of it, especially Gabi and then I realized that Alfie did the exact same thing. Alfie kissed Kat, if you’re on his route that’s the equivalent of him cheating on you bc he did. So are they killing TWO LIs at one go to introduce Finn as the one and only LI?? No. There has to be another explanation. And then it became more obvious. It just doesn’t mean anything to him. I know that’s shitty but he doesn’t care about Gabi and he probably didn't think MC would care either since in his head, she doesn’t care about him. If MC kisses him, he says it was amazing. When Gabi proposes to him, he looks at MC. When MC proposes to him he thanks her for the second chance and says it means alot to him. I still think because we’re in the middle of this scene it’s still too open ended to finish commenting on the rest but his shitty behavior still deserves an explanation and redemption.
Exhibit F: THE BOAT!!!!!!! We know from the leaked assets one of the final dates is on a boat. The second I played Guilty Secrets and when they got to the question about someone having sex on the boat, Suresh gives MC a cheeky grin. BUT SHE’S NOT THE ANSWER, ITS KAT. And I always thought HUH?, that’s so strange why did he look at us? But I kept playing until weeks later when it’s mentioned AGAIN. And this time IT’S A BIG MOMENT FOR THEM. Suresh remembers their Monte Carlo trip and how they almost had sex on a boat one time. This is when they can FINALLY kiss again. The fact that the boat memory was weaved in not once, but twice AND it’s a final date asset it’s basically SCREAMING to be a Suresh date. We need the redemption JUST for bits on the yacht, ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!
Exhibit G: IF NOT SURESH THEN WHO? I mean let’s be honest if we really dead Suresh as an LI are MC’s only choices really going to be Finn, Lulu and Gabi??? FINN?? The guy who hasn't looked MC's way since week one that's who we're going to close the show out with?? And then Alfie... we haven’t seen him lift a finger in a way of coming back to us either and even if he does, and only 2 male LIs??? I know this season lacked cast, period but that’s unheard of. For the sake of replayability this would give us little to no options.
Bobby: Ocht the noo, lass, yer hetter then ges merk ten. Wit wuld aye dee weeoot yeh?
Me:
Just a reminder that Scots is a language in and of itself, so if you're writing for Bobby please don't just make shit up. It's hugely disrespectful.
On top of that, I would 100% just advise writing his speech like you would everyone else's instead of making him/Scots people come across as unintelligent and illegible. I know most people write him out of love, so just a heads up there if people are going to keep writing him, but I've seen Bobby's speech written as gibberish as a 'joke' plenty of times as well. Just because you don't like him doesn't give you an excuse to shit on my language and my people.
It's hard to get right, and just makes it more difficult overall for everyone to read your writing. I'm Scots and I find it hard to sift through other people's attempt at the language, and I know ESL folk who have said it takes them twice as long to read something when written like this because they have to constantly go and attempt to look up what you're trying to say.
Does anyone else find it weird how the islanders, especially the girls have all agreed that Nicolas/Johnny have been flirting with them, and pointing out the fact that he’s using Mc. Otherwise, why would he do that with all the girls there, if he wasn’t playing from some kind of angle? So why do the islanders suddenly take his side over Mc? You know, he seems like a player doing all that behind mc’s back, so why listen to him? He’s proven he can’t be trusted. Do the islanders really have a vendetta against Mc? Of course there’s some exceptions Dana later realizes what’s up, Finn thinks it doesn’t make sense, and Lulu is suspicious. But, other than that, Suresh stays silent, Alfie tries to bring peace by shutting up Meera, and Meera takes Nicolas/Johnny’s side because she hates Mc.
During the challenge, Gabi for sure came off as desperate. She was trying to pull everything she got to prove to Suresh that she was more than a rebound, but marriage material, or the marrying type, so, of course, she proposes to him. But he proved where he stood with her, from seemingly avoiding proposing to her to the eye contact with Mc during his speech about the future and what it might hold, “for all of us”. He doesn’t see her as someone he would marry, but a snog? Maybe. For sure. So I don’t think he’s that into Gabi as she is into him. Don’t forget, she did all that in front of Dana, she was always planning on getting Suresh back from the very beginning, when he was taken, from going onto a show to compete for him. The obsession she has with him is unhealthy, and allegedly warrants a restraining order.
Dear, Suresh Stan’s, y’all have given me hope. I’ll stick by him. I’m too loyal to switch up anyways.
It’s official y’all! I’m going for Finn. The way he was the one that stuck up for us when Suresh didn’t. It’s a time to be alive! Screw Meera, Nicolas/Johnny, Gabi and I’m sorry babe, Suresh. He could have stuck up for us if he really loved us. But I’ll be a clown and finish my play through with Suresh. I love Finn! Sorry Kat. He’ll be mine soon…
