GeekVape Aegis Max Kit, Review
This will be my next mod. Beautiful.
My Aegis Legend is still fucking kicking. I did not like the looks of this thing when it was first release but gotdammit it’s durable and dependable. I went thru 3 mods before this one and then bought myself another for my year anniversary of vaping and they all failed eventually, some within two months’ time, but not the Aegis.
I’ll have to replace it soon cuz half the screen fell off and the battery door is janky but I’m gonna probably get the same exact thing cuz it just works even if it’s ugly.
Last Saturday I saw a dude vaping at Bradley’s and he had the newer version of this with the LED screen and asked him tons of questions about it. I’m concerned that completely unnecessary, big-ass screen is just gonna suck at the battery for no reason. I’ve never cared for these fancy displays. It’s a mod, not a cellphone, none of that is necessary. I don’t even use 90% of the settings on this one. Literally all I need is for it to display the ohms, wattage and battery levels and that’s IT.
SMH.
It does look great but I’m gonna have to research before I buy it. Thankfully it’s been out for a while cuz I can’t ever trust thought bought and paid for youtube reviews for these products. He said the battery life was just fine but he was also using one of those tanks with the prebuilt replaceable coils and his clouds were weak.
I hate how hardcore I am about this shit lol. Oh my god, I really learned absolutely everything I could about this shit before I jumped in lol. AAA! I’m excited to be vaping again.
I’m no longer vaping at 80 watts, pushing comfortable ample clouds at 60 watts and it’s saving a lot of juice for me. Love it.
Ideally I would love a mod that doesn’t go above 80 watts because I never go beyond that and runs on one but preferably two 18650s. I have four 21700s I purchased for the two squonkers that broke and they’re just gonna go to waste basically because I don’t think they get used really by any manufacturers.
Literally me the first week of having my vape getting a little too trigger happy in my bed
My new Topside shorted last night and now it doesn’t work so I had to go back to the Aegis and Creed RTA. Ugh... I really fucking loved that box. It was the prettiest box I’ve owned and looked great as a replacement to the Lux MF but it might be completely out of commission now. I won’t know till I disassemble it but damn. These devices are so unreliable! I like buying things that last for years gotdammit!!
Ugh...

Looks like he went into a vape shop to get help with a mechanical device. This article is so misleading if you don’t know anything about electronic cigarettes and also reminds me of running into this article back in May of last year when I first started vaping.
Mechanical devices are not for beginners, even I don’t touch them, because they’re dangerous. There’s too many things that can go wrong: the battery is faulty, the battery is a fake, you have to measure the ohms of EVERY build you strap on one first to make sure the battery can handle it, there’s now low voltage protection, no high voltage protection, no overheating protection, nothing.
They’re devices for ‘experts’ and people who want to take the time/risks of using them. Regulated devices like the ones I use have chip inside that basically regulates all of these things so you don’t have to think about them and handle them manually yourself.
This is the second death by mechanical device explosion I’ve heard of since I started vaping but the CDC releases annual stats for how many hundreds of thousands of deaths are attributed to smoking in this country annually just to put things into perspective. Don’t buy a mechanical device if you don’t know how to use one and if you’re thinking about vaping as an aid to get off of cigs jump on that shit ASAP.
Imagine doing this in front of a 14th century peasant
Double fisting for the holidays.
In like 5 days I've mastered wicking this CREED RTA. I'm pushing out fat THICCQUE saturated clouds at 80 watts. Now, I have to rewick a lot, once every two days, cuz the heat splits the cotton inside the coil. But I'm still working that out.
Anyway, this purchase was a success. I was concerned it would be ugly and plain. It isn’t. I thought the interchangeable airflow caps were a gimmick, they are, cuz I only use the honeycomb one. But that 6.5ml capacity and the quality of the vape are outstanding.
I don’t see myself going back to the Blitzen tbh.
New tank. 6.5ml capacity Geekvape Creed.
Cleaned coil and rewicked .
This week’s order. Splurged on this new Lemon Twist flavor cuz every single liquid these folks make is fantastic. Also, got the Loaded Cranapple again cuz it’s just so good and mixes with everything.
This month’s juice order: all iced everything. Second time I get the loaded cranapple, she’s refreshing.
Gonna starts changing my coil more often. The vape is so much better with fresh coils and why not since they’re dirt cheap?
She’s back.
This week’s order. I’ve never tried the candy king brand before and I’m excited about the kilo as well, the packaging is very pretty. I’m on an ice kick tho so it’s all ice for the foreseeable future.
Luxotic MF and General Thoughtz
The Luxotic MF I purchased died two days after I got it. I’m in the process of getting a replacement from Element Vape now. There’s a clear design flaw with the battery strap hole being right next to the squank bottle. Basically if you ever have a massive leak or whatever the juice will easily seep thru the hole and get on the board. The batteries can be jiggled out anyway. For the replacement I’m gonna remove the strap and put a piece of tape on the hole. I was considering just getting a refund but I actually REALLY loved that thing for the time I had it and the reviews I’d seen of the Guillotine V2 RDA were all INCORRECT. That RDA was just fine, VERY smooth. The only downsides are that building on it is a bit tricky but I managed and also the top cap is hard to remove even when lubricated with eliquid so I just remove the entire top when checking the coils/wicking situation.—
It looks even better than it does in the picks and fits my hand wonderfully. On top of that the device is incredibly versatile. It can be used as a dual 18650 regulated mod as well as a single 18650, 20700 and 21700 squanker.
All the parts can be replaced as well which is what I want in case something goes wrong in the future. The 510 connector on my revenger literally fell out of the device in a month so having this option is a big pro for me. There’s also a different board that can turn the mod into a semi-regulated device but I don’t need that since I already have a Luxotic BF that does that but it’s good to have the option for those who do.
I was also slightly put off on first sight of the device because it was just stainless steel, brushed and black options and I love me some bright colors but the design is so clean and so well done it works with just simple metal.
For now I’m waiting for the replacement and in the meantime I’m using my BF. I have the Blitzen RTA on the Revenger X for when I need a big saturated hit but I can’t wait till I never have to use that mod again.
