alright. I've had time to mull it over. I think I'm coming around to g6.

like.... not what I wanted in the slightest, and kinda disappointed tbh. But like I get it. g4 was and continues to be the money maker for hasbro. curious to see how g4 only fans react to it tho.

I'll admit, the art is gorgeous. If the show looks half as good we're in good hands. The toys better be just as pretty too. Speaking of, I really hope hasbro doesn't cheap out and ONLY release the core cast. I hope they have detailed figures like the art. I hope they're good quality.

What really turned me around on it was the cast sneak peak. It seems like a good group who really care and embody the characters. The 9 min yt episodes isn't ideal, but expected. tbh 9 mins isn't that bad, your average mlp tales story was about that long, so it's not like you can't do anything with it. I wonder if they'll return to serialized stories like mlp n friends. The magical girl element intrigues me. Wonder what they mean by that.

I guess only time will tell.

whatever happens, I just hope it's not a g4 reboot. no one wants that. but oooohhh boy those pastels in the teaser and the discussion of g1 in the leak (?) makes me kinda hopeful. hopefully it feels like a refresh of the g1/g3 style toyline without feeling stale

What that means to me:

unique characters

a vast selection of toys (not the same group of mcs every single release, give me some variety)

high quality figures w/ nylon hair

unique poses!

I'm truly impressed that Hasbro managed to keep quiet about the new generation until RIGHT before officially announced it at SDCC etc, that's quite the feat in the Internet age. They must have some ironclad NDAs.
