I thought his use of the audio was to emphasize the fact that he was criticizing mob mentality? Especially since the song is named "what do you think?" along with the repetition of that line

yes, i’ve seen that interpretation too, but thats why i’ve been emphazising that i personally, don’t see it at all. too much of the song focus in this sort of superior rapper game that he has to be an actual critic, but is a v personal appreciation, like, i dont enjoy the song with or without that crap sample.

Yeah that really was how it was for me too. And what sucks is to me it sounds like it’s just for the aesthetic (which is why the audio overlaps and you can’t really hear what’s being said) and that makes it worse. Like you had to know what that sample really was and you still went on and used it just bc you probably thought it sounded cool? Like wth. There’s really no way to justify it or explain. Not that army’s care like you said. Their already making excuses

yes, for the aesthetic lmao i think that was the concept i was trying to use. bc , and  i think i will repeat myself, even if you went ahead and used it w some kind of sense, you would have said somethig meaningful in your lyrics addressing it at some point on why is such a trash content ( which its not the case in my opinion and idk how u could twist the lyrics into sth more smart) but it was used for nothing but the vibe lmao, it was a poor, disrespectful choice n hes got a lot to explain, and like ...welcome to my twisted mind or some shit of the like got old last decade.

what u posted I know:/ I havent been that into bts lately but after yoongi released his mixtape I got back into him sm (and p happily too since I’ve been have a shitty couple weeks) and the worst part is when I heard that intro I immediately thought that it sounded weird and now finding out about what it really is....wow. And like you said when you make music you have to know what ur sampling. There’s no way you can’t and also watch bighit completely ignore this and act like it never happened

this is what annoys me the most:(, theres no way the company will make him take accountability for this, i dont think they will consider this relevant unless it deeply affects sales or whatever, and i dont think that die hard armys that already are making all kinds of shitty excuses on this will actually make him apologize, or at least explain, idk with what can he come up with to make it sound better but if its like some poor misunderstood genius artist bullshit he n his fans better save it

Honestly in my bts phase i was a die hard yoongi stan, i just saw this (previous post) on Twitter and thought how awful it seemed n how no one could excuse this based on ignorance, him being korean, or whtever, you are making a song, you better know what you are sampling in it, you dont get to play dumb. I wanted to listen to it hoping that at least it was used as a critique of what this Mass murderer did, but no, Is a basic ass song w no depth whatsoever abt how now he got money. Im only getting poor edgy emo boy vibes , someone pretending to b wat smarter than they are, n we already got plenty of men on that category as it Is. I dont think this issue Will be directly addressed, and definetly have no hope for an explanation or apologies, which are needed. i had mostly a nice nostalgic feeling of my bts fan time jdjd which wasnt so long ago but honestly this clownliness has come to a new low for me, if any of u wanna comment too id love to know what u think
