Kara’s expression screamed ‘are fucking kidding me, right now’ toward the blonde. Her cousin was dying and she had waited for a device that might work. Grabbing the device, Kara pushed off the ground, a boom echoing around them as the Kyrptonian hit and then broke the sound barrier.

Tossing the device at the bomb, she zoomed toward her cousin, landing in front him as he fell to his knees. Hissing against the kryptonite waves radiating from the lead based capsule, Kara raised her arms so her cape covered the both of them from the feedback from the device.

As soon as Kara activated the device the Kryptonite infused bomb deactivated with a low hiss. Kaylee took a shaky step back. It had worked. There’d been some discharge from the weapon, of course, but it worked. Of course that wouldn’t stop Kaylee from spending the next few days or even weeks contemplating if it hadn’t. She’d fixate on it, anxiety growing more and more until there was a catalyst. It’s how she worked, there was no getting around it. Even the multitude of medications she took wouldn’t stop her from beating herself up over what might have been. 

Kaylee gathered herself together and ran out into the field towards the two Kryptonians (like an absolute idiot given that there was still an ongoing conflict) and put herself between the two and the remains of the now defunct bomb. She was pulling it apart, taking what she could from it and rendering it even more useless as she went. She didn’t seem to care if she was putting herself in danger, in fact she pretty much looked like she had a damn death wish. Once done she leaned back against the concrete, one hand holding her up and the other clutching a pulsing core to the device she’d just rendered useless. “They can’t get this back.”

Hey guys. If someone tells you/corrects you about their name or pronouns and you intentionally do not do what they said, that’s not just hurtful, but super rude. If you told someone your name and they started calling you something that you aren’t against your will and introducing you to others like that and referring to you like that while with others, that would be a real asshole move, because that isn’t your name, and you don’t want people calling you that. So please don’t intentionally call people by the wrong name or pronouns. Thanks guys.

“He might be annoyed, but he won’t fire you.”  She chuckled, raising an eyebrow at the astonishment. “No problem, and yeah, I suppose.” She shrugged. “It’s just not shocking to me, really.”

“I’ll talk to Agent Danvers. I’m sure there has to be a beginners class.”

“Cool. I want to learn and get better but I’ve always been a klutz. I remember breaking my foster mom’s vase once and I thought she was going to send me back. I had a heart attack. I mean, she didn’t. It was all cool.... but I’ve always been like this.”

“Maybe training will help.”

Damian groaned.  Before, the issue with the engine was a minor annoyance.  The issue with the tires however, made him pissed.  

“I can change a tire.  The issue is that the car uses a specialized set of tires not available to the public.”  

“And you don’t have spares because they don’t fit anywhere in the design.” she said it dismissively because she already knew that it was true judging by the frame of the vehicle and the amount of crap they’d shoved into it. “Okay. My car is around the corner. Where do you need me to take you?”

She snorted at that, small nervous smile playing on her lips. “You’re at least relatively charismatic.”

“I’m more of a traditional idiotic smart person.”

“Kal-el is my family!” Kara snapped, turning toward the woman and glaring. “Maggie and Alex will be fine if that bomb explodes–but its made out of lead! Do you know what could be in there? Kryptonite! If it explodes and gets near any vital organs–” 

“If my cousin dies, I will hold you responsible.” 

“You will not be the only one holding me responsible if he dies. Trust me.” she murmured softly as she finished up. “Here! It’s done.” she sprinted to the door, flinging herself out of it and aiming what she’d just finished creating at the bomb. “Fuck, it needs to be closer! Supergirl! Get it as close as you can and activate it. It will neutralize the bomb.”

Rain falls hard as Ororo walks down street smiling, feeling the rain hit her face. She bumps into a young woman and helps her up. "Oh! I'm so sorry, let me help you up"

“It’s fine, I wasn’t really paying attention anyways. Distracted by the rain and my job really.”

“You’re welcome hun.” She smiles as she opens the door and leads her outside. Ororo smiles as she walks to her motorcycle.

“Oh gosh, is that a motorcycle? I love it!” she was practically purring as she looked at it.

“Oh, thank you! Ah, yes!” she hurriedly chased after the taller woman.

Damian took the card, looking it over.  ‘I’ll be sure to, when I need the help that is.”  He answered, as he pushed on the gas and drove off, and the Batmobile sped off into the dark… for a good thirty seconds until the two rear tires went flat.  

“Son of a…”

Kaylee could hear the screech and pop from where she still stood. She let out a low sigh and followed after him with a grumble. She rounded the corner, saw the blow outs, and sighed. “Please tell me you know how to change a tire, kid.”

“If not, I’m teaching you.”

“Is that a thing with techies?” Kara chuckled, watching the blonde. Frowning in concern as she rubbed her wrist, the alien blinked, focusing on her xray vision,  to look at the other’s wrist. “It’s not broken or fractured.” She told the other, before following her gaze. “It’‘s okay, I know your boss–he nearly shattered his cellphone when I jumped off a building.”

“You should get some field training, really helps.”

"Does that mean maybe he won’t be annoyed?” her voice was filled with hope but it was clear that she knew she’d be fine. When Kara x-rayed her she looked astonished, smiling slightly. “Hey, thanks. And, to be fair to Boss Man, I would have too.” she brushed her clothing off and straightened herself out, clutching the tablet to her chest.

“If you can get me into some field training I would take some but I don’t think they’ll let me in the training room. I’m a danger to myself and others to be honest.”
