Advice anon - our dad is very sick and unable to care for himself and we are doing the best we can but dont really have reliable outside support and we just cant feel like a kid or nonhuman and really really hurt right now. idk if you have comfort or advice or whatever and im sorry this is random bu yea

this blog isn’t just for my transids, it’s to be the dad to others that they—and i—never got. my dad died about two, almosr three years ago. september 24th i think. i don’t remember much about him, other than that he was a good man, even if i realized that too late. he was a drug addicr most of my life, and died to an overdose. most likely laced with fentanyl, is what we think. he was fave down in his friends apartment on a wednesday and i went to his funeral on a saturday. my mom told me his body would be rotting. that he wouldn’t look like himself. but he did. he looked like himself. he looked like my dad. and that day was when i finally regretted not loving him because of my moms words. sure, he abandoned us, but it was for our own good. he left because he was addicted, he didn’t want to ruin our lives like that. he was a good man. a good dad. i want to celebrate his life better and better each year, and i want to say sorry to you, dad. for not being the child you would have wanted, but i hope i can make you proud with everything ive done with my life and what i will do. please be proud, dad. i love you. i want to be a better person.
