in light of recent events, i would like to break through my 4 year long hiatus and extend my mental health professional knowledge to those who may need any.

i work in a community based program that primarily treat the underserved population and i’ve not previously offered my insight due to still in the process of obtaining more training and going to graduate school to further refining my skills. (if you have any interest in working in this field, please don’t hesitate to contact me re: career options and schooling)

to anyone who is suffering from mental illness or domestic violence, i know it is scary but please know there is help available to you. as much as i would like to, my assistance will be limited. i cannot be your full time therapist, psychiatrist or social worker due to the lack of safety i can contract with you through this platform. thus, i will not be able to fully respond to any vague messages so please be as specific as possible when telling me your situation. in addition, to be able to offer as much comprehensive help as possible i will consider my own safety and self care first to ensure no boundaries are crossed.

in case of emergency, PLEASE do contact 911/your national emergency phone number or any of these resources. i can also provide more detailed resources if you are in the NYC area.

i urge anyone who is struggling or knows a loved one who is to start the conversation. i can help you with bridging the proper care that you need and how to manage your symptoms or if you need advice with unrelated issues or simply would like this old girl’s perspective. feel free to message me. if you are afraid to open up to anyone else in your life about your current condition, feel free to talk to me anonymously.

please know that the battle doesn’t have to be fought alone. im not as active here as i used to be but i want you all to know that i’m here ans available to talk to.
