âTo the best of your ability what is or was the color of your motherâs eyes?â - An Eagan Family Portrait đ§
Featuring: Helena, unnamed mother, Jame (unfortunately) and Helly (as a doll)
Closeups of raggedy Helly, baby Helena and unnamed mother
Update: Iâve been informed I can be graded on this if I include an analysis so here it is:
Types of malevolent fanartists upon hearing Harlan say that if Arthur Lester was an animal, he'd be a rabbit:
1. Aw little fluffy friend :)
2. Cool anthropomorphic art
3. Wide, feral eyes and a small, rapidly beating heart. They say a cornered animal is just as dangerous as a wounded one. Leg in the trap, will you chew it off? You have claws, use them. Eternal prey, hunted and hunted until you reach your inevitable fate of being mauled. You escape the jaws of the beast only to run into the loving embrace of a hunter's rifle.
4. GAY BUNNY SUIT
(a kiss)
"I forgive you."
"I don't even know why I am crying. Why do I keep doing that now?"
"I don't know. Maybe you're trying to impress me."
What should this collection be called. Like: "devastating responses from your "good" partner to your moments of vulnerability" ?
Sometimes quotes stick with you?
The only thing I could think about when Yorick talked about how he answers questions that are asked of him and how he always belongs to someone and yet how he is able to process and interpret information in new ways and how he can see he is different to others of his kind now.
The only thing I could think about was "oh the Janet of it all".
this man is about to be banned from the public library for being too stinky
dipper and mabel bad end where they end up like ford and stan
In the wake of season five ending I started relistening to Malevolent for the nth time, and with the knowledge of hindsight and of where their relationship eventually ends up their early dynamic is hilarious (but also excellently balanced).
John playing all mysterious and smooth and manipulative when we know for a fact that heâs just as lost as Arthur and is desperately covering how little he knows. Playing up his spooky nature and control over Arthur only to have mundane indignities and lack of control thrown in his face when he accidentally makes Arthur stumble over a dead body, bump into a noisy piano, and twice mixes up left and right in the first episode alone. How he has to almost immediately back-pedal from being scary and threatening because it turns Arthur into a hyperventilating mess and comfort him with piano music and a pep talk about how tough he looks because a host scared witless is useless. Arthur's rapid shifts between gibbering mess, hyper-competent detective, and terrifying killer who has already been talked down from murdering a man in cold blood by the more sensible eldritch entity living in his head once. Masterclass of balancing character power dynamics.
I have zero experience with this kind of stuff but with all the different animatics for Epic I was wondering what would be a creative way of drawing Aphrodite. Because for example with Poseidon you have all this sea and horses imagery you can go bananas with. But Aphrodite is harder to de-human-form. So I think I would never show all of her and instead always just do closeup-shots. Like a shot of curls in her hair or her lips or her hand writing a letter. Because when you are infatuated with someone, you suddenly have such strong feelings about just details about them. It's also this thing of how in the pursuit of a beauty ideal, you sort of look at people only in parts.
(Oh! And the closeups don't always have to look the same. Because shapeshifter.)
bari saxthur got lucky in that kayne didnât write him a part in The Wager so he didnât have to go to the worldâs longest and ugliest rehearsals
EDIT: moaninâ isnât actually by mingus it was written by bobby timmons for art blakey and the jazz messengers i just listen to the mingus big band version and got confused. my sincerest apologies i love jazz i promise

I spent a lot of time working out what Vetinari is. Vox Populi and Vox Phantasma - now those are easy. But what is Vetinari the voice of? The voice of the city? not really. He's just the voice of Vetinari, really.
"You canât separate us, not unless weâre willing to do so."
Ad Noctum - Thoughts on Chapter 6
We got chapter six of Ad Noctum this week, WITH REWRITES â and so you all know what that means! Time for another cwr essay with Taka, hooray! Next thing you know, Iâll be forcing @taardisblue to make a cwr podcast with me. Iâm thinking we could call it âCWR Didnât Give Us a Comment Sectionâ. Very snappy.
Anyway, letâs get to it â as usual, itâs all under the cut
