My first poem to you as us.

As we stand, a solid United front. We hold steady, brace ourselves against the driving wind and rising waves. We are bombarded by the swirling sea...but here we are focusing on the horizon, a brightness just out of reach. We are chilled to the core, bruised but not broken. We are still right here, facing it all, holding on tight. As a child, an adolescent, an adult - I would look out to sea. I'd think of you, I'd never met you, but I knew you existed. Every wish I have ever made until this point has been about you, before and after I knew those blue enchanting eyes. So as I hold your hand, as we face this world together, 'just know'. Know that however tall the waves, however violent the wind I will always be by your side. You can have it all, my broken thoughts, my damaged heart, my wildly temper. Although I can't offer you the world you deserve I can promise you will forever have my unwavering devotion and my truest love. You are my sweetest, truest friend. You have made my world complete and I promise you one day we will stand in front of a calm sea, the warming sea breeze will surround our bodies - Together our eyes will glance down and we see we are standing on the horizon that had once seemed so far away.
