I recently found out that The Angry Video Game Nerd is surprisingly popular in Japan. His reviews get subbed, are thrown on NicoNico, and he’s earned somewhat of a cult following over there from it. There’s a Pixiv tag for fan-art and everything.

It’s just like Gamecenter CX over here. I love it.

I guess Japan is interested in watching an angry American swear and yell at bad video games, and we’re interested in watching a calm middle aged Japanese guy who is horrible at video games play really difficult ones for hours and hours on end because he’s forced to. I guess?

Take this as a Headcanon?

Imagine that when Graves is drunk, he either becomes two kinds of drunk. The angry drunk where he just keeps shouting like fucking crazy and is always looking for a fight with anyone. Then the romantic drunk where he just flirts with his gay boyfriend Twisted Fate without being embarrassed or hiding anything even in public. He just simply says things from his mind and becomes the cutest and fluffiest man ever. Honestly, I think about this a lot.

Fanfiction Idea, Hear me out.

I have thought one of the saddest fanfiction ideas for TF x Graves, I’m not even sorry about this and I want people to hear me out on this.

The fanfiction takes place 10 years later after Burning Tides. Twisted Fate and Graves are already in their mid and late fifties, but still in a romantic relationship after many years. Their love for heists and action is gone and want to finally spend their lives in peace. The last piece of action they’ve had was to murder the last of Gangplank’s men which was a total success. They hope to live together till death do them apart.

One day, Twisted Fate is assassinated by an unknown figure, death couldn’t be avoided for him. This only leaves Graves to be alone with only two things that is left from Twisted Fate, his hat and his favorite card, the ace of hearts. He struggles with depression while the days pass as the only thing in his mind is Twisted Fate and his last moments. Graves is willing to do anything to be with him again as his mental state deteriorates.

Rumors about Twisted Fate’s death start roaming around Bilgewater. Sick of his life and tragedies hes living in, one of those rumors catches his attention:

The assassin that brought up Twisted Fate’s death.

Therefore, Graves sets one more thing in his mind before everything in his life is over:

Twisted Fate and to avenge his death.
