Intro from Tiger (1979) Compared to the last one, this is maybe more disco like? At least, it’s definitely more 70s. But the visual patterns and effects are pretty interesting still. I think this type was more common in the 1970s, that or solid color blocks.

So, I’ve noticed that many Telugu films of this era have a fairly unique aesthetic with their intros through the use of patterns and visual effects. I don’t know anyone else who’s doing it, so I’ll try to compile them for archival purposes.

Juxtafridge 2023 (Source material: Mr. Bharath, 1986) Digital [ARTISTS NOTE: Basically, this is a visual pun. In this film (which I haven't watched, sue me, but I will someday), the plot is driven when the protagonist's mother dies, but there is also a romantic song that literally takes place inside a fridge. This already interesting intersection is further emboldened by the particular use of mountains and snowy landscapes as romantic scenery in Indian cinema, creating an intercultural trope crossover. There's another visual metaphor in the composition, but I'll leave that as an exercise for viewers.]
