RK whisked the dart away someplace on his person. The movement was so quick, the current location of the dart could not be ascertained by anyone but himself.
āIf youāre willing to back down, then I wonāt escalate this any further, either. After all,Ā Iāve got places to go and things to do today. I donāt need to add going to the hospital for magical injuries to that list.ā He said with a sassy little shrug while walking a few steps away.
But then he came to a stop.
āBut I will warn you: Treat Kura and Huo with respect. Those two have been through MORE than enoughā¦ ā
RK said that last bit without turning around. His tone of voice was unusually serious. It was almost creepy.
Enzo gave a slow nod. He did make a note on how quickly RK put the dart away; such speeds were close to Cullanās.
āPerhaps we could try battling another time, when both of us are at our prime. As for those two, there really is no need for me to be against them as far as Iām aware. They were willing to let me stay with them, after allā¦ā
RK nodded, the sly grin returning to his face. āI appreciate that. And yeah... some other time... but I must warn you: I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve. As you saw earlier.ā He chuckled.

Finally lowering the offending finger, RK spoke. He crossed his arms over his chest, his demeanor less trollish
āAlright, first of all, I may be a thief, but I have STANDARDS, dammit. I donāt steal from people who barely have anything. And secondā¦ā
He grinned, flicking a small dart out of his sleeve and up in the air in a little spin before he caught it neatly between his fingers by the needle end.
āWhat makes you think I would use my magic, hm?ā He said with another sly grin.
The mageās demeanor flipped as well, turning a tad more serious.
āI seeā¦ that, and the thought of being used as a personal dartboard isnāt exactly the most appealingā¦ā
Enzo thought over it and sighed, putting his fight-craving tendencies to the side to save for another day.

One could almost see the fake-halo-of-innocence over his head. āAnd IāM not the one looking for a fight, here. I seem to recall you falsely accusing me of wrongdoing and I was just defending my honor.ā
