" hey, ruby...? " the faint sounds of commotion had hit his ears long ago, though he thought nothing of it until they began getting louder. with curious steps does he move up to his companion's side, using the advantage of his height to attempt to see where the noise could be coming from.

" what's going on over there? did another fight break out? " @petalbursting .

the creepy, abandoned carcasses of the ships that hung like skeletons in the water were ripe for exploration, and the first thing mithra did upon arriving was immediately try to find something magical, cursed, or otherwise powerful.

of course, these places were crawling with other explorers, something mithra for some reason (his own arrogance? his own selfishness? his own... mithraness?) had not factored into his to treasure hunt.

so when he exits out into a narrow passageway into the depths of an empty, hollow ship, and he sees another person, the first thing the wizard assumes is that a fight is about to break out.

"ah. a ghost. i suppose i'll have to exorcise you before you curse me, won't i?"

a sigh pushes through tired lungs, exhausted from the seemingly impossible task of gaining his bearings. ren, with a convenient gift of knowing his direction at all times, found little use of said gift in this strange circumstance. deciding to take temporary shelter from the sun, he'd taken refuge within the shadowy space of an abandoned ship wreck. footsteps from beyond hardly bother him anymore, but the attention turned to him from one such stranger did seem cause for... some alarm.

" a ghost...? " he repeats with a skeptical cadence. " i'm... not a ghost, so um... please don't exorcise me. i'm not in the mood to meet demons today. "

" jaune...? " approach is quiet, steps made intentionally with a brief pause of caution. he feels out of place, ( out of character ) to make such an unsolicited gesture... but it feels right. only for the briefest moment does he set magenta eyes upon the strange sky, filled with stars and unfamiliar shapes along the horizon, before reaching his destination at his teammate's side. " is there... something on your mind? " @aurachevalier .
