I don’t understand the need to get rid of sports. A lot of people rely on sports for college aid and such, which I think should have been put into some kind of consideration.

I get why an arts school is a good idea, fine. But turning a school that has a great reputation for being an all-around place and making it arts only over a summer? That’s crap, it doesn’t give anyone time to prepare, or to really figure out how it’s gonna work.

It means that likely starting next year, those interested in the arts will apply to attend. Those not interested in arts will go somewhere else. It becomes a matter of what you’re really passionate about and want to do with your life. That’s how the whole thing seems to work elsewhere.

That’s not how it’s supposed to work in fucking high school. High school’s supposed to be where people get to figure out who they are and what they like, not where they have to pick one thing or the other at 14 and they’re fucked if they pick wrong or are good at more than one thing.

They wouldn’t be putting all the coaches out on their asses with no jobs, they wouldn’t be fucking over people who are here and don’t want to move, they wouldn’t be tearing down kickass athletics programs that are already well-established, and they wouldn’t have to rezone an entire freaking district because they eliminated one of the public schools. But no, apparently everyone in Ohio is a freaking idiot. I can’t wait to get out of here.

I’m no longer principal at McKinley for no more than a few months and William Schuester has managed to take my years of hard work and planning and completely destroy it by phasing out athletics to make the school an all arts school. I knew from the day you insulted my Cheerios that you were against everything and anything dealing with athletics. Probably because you suck at basketball. You cried for years to have the arts apart of McKinley only to have the tables turn and eliminate everything else completely. I am disgusted and before you say “Sue this wasn’t my decision” in that sad soft weepy voice of yours, I don’t give a rats ass. You Schuester are the one to blame. As the kids these days say HASHTAG STOP WILL SCHUESTER 2K15!

I’m actually pretty neutral? It’s not going to affect me that drastically. But I don’t think it’s completely terrible, there just needs to be more of a balance than such extremes. Are you not happy about it?

Not really, no. If it were all about the arts, then I couldn’t have played basketball. Or met Ryder, even though he’s kind of an idiot sometimes. Half the best people in glee club were athletes too; make it an arts school and you get a bunch of divas like Rachel Berry instead of a real team. Plus all the coaches are gonna get fired overnight. I guess there’ll be more dance classes, but in 45 minutes it’s not like you can get a whole lot of specialized attention, so what does it even matter?
