"You should come inside."
"I don't know if I can."
"I understand. But right now, more than anything else in the world, she wants to see you. Do you really want to deny her that chance?"
—Some of the hardest dialogue to ever come out of a dream about Bart Simpson

Apparently it's my comic's third anniversary and I forgot to do anything about it. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY NIJI CHIKARA ❤️ 💛 💚 💙
Oops, I gave two OCs the same name again
I've been reposting Star Sweep Reimagined over on Archive of Our Own! Feel free to check it out and drop a kudos if you like!
Incredibly violent take of mine but I actually don’t think you need to relate to a story in any way to enjoy it. You can enjoy a story even if you can’t point at a character and insert some aspect of your personality or identity into them. In fact I would argue the need for a character like that to be present in every single story you experience is a sign of stunted growth.
It is a peaceful and serene take, actually.
do you have multiple ocs who share the same name
no, i do not reuse names for my ocs
yes, and it's deliberate/for the bit
yes, but not for any reason/not meant to be A Thing
yes, with instances of both of the above circumstances (major name reuser here)
bald
variations of the same name (sam & sammy, dave & david, etc) and different spellings of the same name (carol & carole) count as the same name
posting this here cause I’m still not over it. people who write instructions I love you you’re so funny
we need to team up… to put together the WB4723 48-Inch Workbench With Power Outlets and Lights… it will take all of our power… and though you are my greatest foe, i can’t do it without you !

I didn't check
To my 25 - 35 year olds, you've reached the age where people around you are starting to give up on themselves because they think it's too late. Don't let that energy rub off on you. It's not too late.
I became a tattoo artist at 49.
Married the love of my life at 50.
Got my Class A CDL at 59.
You've got time.
As long as you're breathing, you've got time.
Can you believe that the unnamed company who makes the unspecified brand of e-reader that my fictional character purchased in the year 2013 would depreciate their older products in favor of ones that are way worse (allegedly)
How many people’s most beloved childhood stuffed animals are actually teddy bears, like I feel like that’s a thing someone made up. Reblog this and put what your longest owned and/or favorite stuffed animal as a child was in the tags, inquiring minds want to know
ok I wanna make a poll now
What was your most beloved plushie as a child?
Bear
Dog
(Domestic) cat
Big cat
Equine (horse/zebra/donkey)
Rabbit/bunny
Sheep/lamb
Sea creature
Other domesticated animal
Other wild animal
Fantasy creature
Not an animal
(I know this isn't the most even way to represent animal groups but I tried to go off of what I saw mentioned most in the notes)
Reblogs for sample size appreciated!
Gloria the isekai protagonist
I mentioned a couple of years ago how Niji Chikara was never intended to definitively take place in Japan, and how some cultural things lean more western as a result. What's funny is that, in spite of this, Teinei somehow managed to become an extremely Japanese-flavored character.
He's an average employee, struggling to make a living while dealing with a very strict boss (like the common Japanese trope of the overworked salaryman). Most of his internal conflict is about wanting to speak his mind, but being too afraid to disturb the peace (reminiscent of the Japanese concept of honne and tatamae). Even his name is shared with the form of grammar most commonly used for polite, professional distance (teineigo).
Pretty much the only thing that would change in a more distinctly Japanese setting is that, according to my understanding of Japan's worker protection laws, Mr. Takaguchi wouldn't be able to fire him just for messing up a report. Instead he'd have to resort to workplace abuse, slowly giving him more and more punishments in an attempt to force him to quit. Which kinda sounds way worse, actually!
Looking at some of my old character writing and it's so goofy. Like why did Teinei act incredibly sus at all times lol
Getting nostalgic for old collaborative storyverses is a little bittersweet because like, man I haven't seen some of these people in years. I hope they are doing well
