Imagine Ron and Harry having a sleepover and before going to sleep Harry jokingly says "aren't you gonna give me a goodnight kiss?" and Ron just goes and kisses his forehead. No hesitation, no big deal for him.

And it's natural to Ron because at this point Harry is family. He used to kiss little Ginny's forehead like he observed his family did, stopped when they were teens cause they both would cringe. But Fred and George used to smooch everyone's heads out of nowhere (usually after successful pranks) laughing. Bill kissed Fleurs temples when they had to quickly part. Charlie, after Ron listened to him talk about dragons for hours and engaging in conversation, 'thanks' and kiss on the forehead before ruffling his hair (which is also a thing between Weasleys siblings! Harry got his hair ruffled all back in 1st year and even if it's headcanon created by movie scene (at the end of one movie one of the twins pats Ron's head while he's petting Harry's) I absolutely love it) Arthur would come to check up on his sleeping children after long day of work, giving forehead kisses as goodnights. And Molly oh of course Molly would give kisses any any gives occasion, cheeks to greet you, brows when you were sick and forehead for good dreams. Even Percy! Fred and George would tease him "no kiss goodnight?" so eventually he gave up fighting and was just giving it to them.

So when Harry teases him it seems most natural to lean in and give him kiss goodnight.

Cause that's what family does. He doesn't question it, it's like helping to set the table, borrowing your siblings' stuff, shaking hands when you greet someone.

I can never understand how Snape apologetics can stand up for him when he CANONICALLY does this shit.

I can maybe, maybe, understand those who haven’t read the books standing up for him, because honestly the movies don’t cover all the horrible stuff he does. But those who have read the books and still stick up for him baffle me.

I mean, you don’t see anyone sticking up for the Dursley’s or Umbridge, when they do the same stuff to Harry as Snape. How is Snape any different?

I was extremely disappointed when it was revealed that Snape was actually “a good guy”. The Snape of DH didn’t match the Snape from the beginning of the story in a rather ridiculous way. I remember being one of the only one of my friends that was hoping that Snape would in fact be evil in DH. DH ended up being such a disappointment and I really felt so detached from what had started off as such an incredibly strong story.

Why is the Jily tag on ao3 full of wolfstar fanfics

I need advice

So, lately I've seen a lot of people reading this fic called All The Young Dudes? But I looked for it and apparently Wolfstar is the main ship. I really like Wolfstar but only like a background ship? I mean, I only read Jily fanfictions but if there are more pairings in it I like Wolfstar being a thing (I do not read the ones with Sirius or Remus in a relationship with a other person).

The thing is, it looks like ATYD is sooo good but I don't know if it is for me and I Just need someone to tell me what to do hahahaha. Pretty please.

One thing I really don’t get about this fanon that James asked Lily out all the time is the fact in canon, these lines exist:

‘“I didn’t mean— I just don’t want to see you made a fool of— He fancies you, James Potter fancies you!” The words seemed wrenched from him against his will. “And he’s not… everyone thinks…big Quidditch hero—” Snape’s bitterness and dislike were rendering him incoherent, and Lily’s eyebrows were travelling farther and farther up her forehead.’

Snape blurts out that James fancies Lily. Blurts it out because he doesn’t think she knows. If James were asking her out all the time, why would Snape feel the need to point the fact out? And why wouldn’t Lily acknowledge it, rather than raising her eyebrows, which seems more like an expression of confusion and surprise, maybe even doubt?

This is the moment that Lily finds out James fancies her. And unless SWM was the first in a long line of date proposals (which I highly doubt, considering the impact of the incident and the change in James’s maturity from fifth to seventh year) he probably didn’t ask her out more than maybe twice, if he was the one to initiate the relationship in seventh year. 

Also, even ignoring this, to think that Lily constantly reiterated disinterest and James refused to listen to her but then they dated is romanticizing harassment and it’s gross, so let’s just not.

Hello! I know. Remember I came here yesterday because twitter was toxic? Well... Here I come again to give my opinion :)

I feel like Severus Snape didn't love Lily, And I also think he wasn't a good person, and he wasn't a hero either. . I mean... First of all they were never anything, Lily never loved Severus.

Secondly, J.K. tells us that Severus, since before Lily got mad at him for calling her dirty blood, was joining Avery Mulciber. Mulciber was a blood-purist wizard. He treated muggles badly. And severus was his friend. If he had really loved Lily, he wouldn't have joined Mulciber since he was a kid.

Severus, in a way, was ashamed to be Friends with Lily. Let's remember that when Lily tried to help him, he said in derogatory mode 'I don't need help from dirty blood.' If I'd really been in love with her, I wouldn't have told her that.

After that incident, Severus tried to apologize to Lily. But she didn't forgive him. He said, 'I'm sorry to tell you like this, I promise I won't do it again.' To which Lily replied ' Maybe you won't call me that again, but you call those who are like me like that. What's the difference between them and me?' So we can conclude that Severus had already called other students dirty blood. And that's when he started meeting Death Eaters. And they practiced dark magic with other students of mestiza blood of their grade, or perhaps from grades less than them. If the real one had wanted Lily's forgiveness, he would have left those bad habits.

Let's talk now about when they graduated from school. Severus was still in love with Lily.

When he heard the prophecy, he went straight to tell Voldemort, in this prophecy one should die. A newborn child, or Voldemort. He doesn't care who that kid was. If the chosen one had been Neville, Severus would not have made an effort to save him, and would probably have died as the most faithful Death Eater to Voldemort, for he was not a good person

When Severus realized that the prophecy was talking about Lily's son. He went dumbledore to ask her to just save Lily. Severus didn't care about James or Harry. Let's think about this, Voldemort kills James and Harry. Lily's a widow. Lily wouldn't have been happy. Lily wouldn't have loved Severus either. Imagine this situation, Lily arrives telling Dumbledore 'Voldemort killed Harry and James' and that's where Severus arrives and says 'Merlin, I told Voldemort the prophecy. But... It doesn't matter you're alive and now we can be together.' Lily would NEVER have forgiven him for that. If lily had been the only survivor, she would have had an empty and sad existence. Because she loved James and Harry more than anything in the world. If Severus had thought of Lily's happiness, he would have asked dumbledore to protect James, Harry and Lily.

Remember the saying "if you love something let it go"? If Severus had loved Lily, he'd have been glad to see her have a happy life. I understand it's hard, but if he had really loved Lily, he would have glad that she had a happy life. Even though it was with another man.

Lily already had enough trouble with living in the middle of a war. Enough problems with which Death Eaters will look for people like her (dirty bloods). Enough trouble with most of your friends being dead. He didn't deserve to have to live for about a hidden year so Voldemort wouldn't kill his son.

Now let's talk about harry's life. Harry, Lily's son. Severus at school dedicated himself to making life impossible for Harry (and everyone in general) Severus literally hated Harry just because he looked like his father. Harry was completely different from James in personality. I still hated him. If severus had loved Lily, even a little, he wouldn't have been such a bad teacher to Harry. Also LITERALLY IT WAS NEVILLE'S BOGGART. A boggart is what you FEAR MOST IN THE WORLD. He was such a bad teacher that he was his student's boggart.

If any boy or girl tells me 'I'll love you as much as Snape loves Lily.' I'll get out of there. His 'love' was not healthy! It was obsession! Severus wasn't a good person. And the 'love' I felt for Lily wasn't real or healthy
