“She needs to find a better way to ask then…” Lykos muttered. Hearing that, Silvia made a movement as if to peck his hands- he instantly let go off her, but she only pecked him once. It was a light scratch, but it was already bleeding a bit.
He scratched his cheek, sweating. Honestly… she was his only flying type in the team he normally carried, so it was pretty helpful to have her around- but when she starts pecking him even if all he was doing was just thinking, she was heavy… it felt more like she was a psychic type.
Just when he thought that, the pidgeotto made a dive at him as if to pull his hair again– this time he was ready and managed to dodge in time, pulling his hood up to cover his head.
“Oh um- it’s alright- I-I mean- um-” And there goes the return to stammering. “I-it was a little strange- w-what I said I mean-”
Even though the beginning of their sudden encounter had gotten off on what seemed to be the wrong foot, the smaller of the two was glad to see that the male in front of her didn’t seem to be a suspicious person. Perhaps she’d just been alarmed since she was still somewhat wary for travel at times and that the trainer in front of her was so much taller, towering over her petite physique with ease. He sounded young, but his stature made the girl assume he had to of been older than her -- maybe he was just a little timid like her.
“ Oh ! You’re bleeding .. “
Aurelie tilted her head to the side as she watched the passive-aggressive flying-type nip at her trainer, her beak colliding with his hand and scratching it. The female felt her lips tug downwards as a result, her tiny hands quickly moving to the knapsack over her shoulder as she dug out a bandage, offering it up to the other.
“ Here, you can use this .. “ she said kindly, offering the band-aid out to him. It was covered in Teddiursa-shaped patterns with little cherry blossoms in the space between. She normally used them for herself when she was clumsy on certain paths, but it looked like he would need them more.
“ Can you tell me how to get to Nacrene City please ? “
She’s taken a wrong turn from inside the depths of Striaton, unsure of which route would lead her towards the museum of the neighboring city. The small TOWN MAP she holds in her arms certainly of no use as it’s just a knock off she’s been tricked into buying when arriving at the port as Castelia.
“Ow– Silvia– Q-quit it-!” Lykos finally succeeded in stopping the pidgeotto’s merciless attack when he reached out with both hands and got her off his shoulder. His hair was now a complete mess compared to before… ah well, it was really messy in the first place but still–
Realizing that she was laughing, he blushed and scratched his cheek. While it was good that she wasn’t shaking like a leaf anymore, she was laughing at his expense…
Silvia huffed, turning her head to the side and making a sound as if to say ‘serves you right, you traitor’. She was clearly not regretting her attack on her trainer… he sighed. It wasn’t the first time she pecked him randomly, but it was very hard to take care of her when he was walking with her.
“S-silvia at this rate I’ll switch you out with Senele or Thalia–” He scolded, almost forgetting that the small girl was still nearby “Y-you have to stop doing that…!”
“ I-I’m sorry.. I didn’t mean to laugh .. “
Once her small fit of giggles slowly began to subside, the petite trainer raised her slender digits and wiped at her hues, clearing the tears of leftover mirth as she finally settled down. She really hadn’t meant to so plainly laugh at him, but such a sight was both a little humorous and heartwarming. It reminded her about how fussy one of her own companions could be sometimes, though he’d been certain to grow out of the phase once he’d managed to evolve.
“ Maybe she just wants to play .. ? “ the honey-haired girl glanced over at the flying-type, offering them a small smile in response to their huffing. She knew that some Pokemon acted out when not getting enough attention. Perhaps that was how Silvia had felt when her trainer had been preoccupied.
Aurelie smoothed down the ends of her skirt and quickly fixed her posture, turning away from the Pidgeotto and back to her trainer, “ .. Uhm .. I’m sorry about being so rude before. You startled me a little bit .. “
🍦 [gives jay the mint chocolate chip]
Nestled in the north-central part of the region, the prominent central hub and the most popular city in all the world, thrived with a sudden bout of tourism that came with the milder spring weather that was finally beginning to settle in across the country. It’s famous landmarks such as the Prism Tower and Lumiose Museum had attracted several crowds of nearby natives and traveling visitors alike for the afternoon. Not to be outdone by the more popular attractions, the wide variety of shops, cafes and restaurants also seemed to be filled to the brim with people. Even the quieter outskirts of the city that were lined with parisian-style buildings heading towards the more business-like constructions were bustling with pedestrians, everyone crowding together before branching off in different directions.
On the left side of the large canal that ran diagonally through the city, Aurelie Ordinaire swung her feet happily as she sat on the small bench outside some less-popular boutiques. The entire day had been filled with different activities; the older male who accompanied her showing her everything that the city had to offer since she’d never been here. They’d done everything from strolling around the museum, visiting the large tower to admire it’s beauty to stopping by a shop that sold herbal medicines. Their next destination was a well-groomed garden that had recently been put in at the Vert Plaza – the main reason that her companion for the day had really wanted to come here.
Before they had resumed their adventure, however, something had caught her eye – a local ice cream shop that was set out just on the other side of the waterway. It seemed much less occupied than the other stores, but looked every bit as delicious. Much to her delight, the Coumarine Leader had indulged her on her request to try some and told her to sit down on the bench she was currently at while he went to gather their afternoon treats.
“ Thanks again, Jay ! “ she said happily when the male returned with the two ice creams in his hand, a mint chocolate chip one for himself while she’d decided on strawberry. For whatever reason, he’d insisted on buying it for her, perhaps a thank you for letting him visit the garden nearby. The more petite of the two beamed up brightly at him, feeling energetic despite how much they’d traveled and regardless of the crowded place they were in. Perhaps she’d been too excited about visiting this place to catch onto any nervousness or fatigue.
Aurelie gratefully took the cone from him and began indulging herself, the cool, creamy consistency sliding along her tongue and she hummed happily. She took a few more bites before she turned to him, stating just how delicious his own looked and that she wished she could of gotten another scoop to try.
“ E-Eh ?! “
The smaller female nearly dropped her ice cream. As soon as she had offhandedly mentioned she wished she could of tried a different flavor, the cold treat the auburn-haired male held in his hand was presented before her. He wasn’t looking at her, but there was no mistaking that he had told her that she was welcome to try some of his. She felt her entire face heat up at the offer and she quickly looked away from him, her reddish orbs scanning the ground below as she felt embarrassment take over her. Did he really know what he was saying? Sharing something like this! Wasn’t that a bit .. intimate? Ah, but he was waiting.. and it wasn’t like he was looking at her or anything like that and .. well, she really did want to try the mint chocolate chip ..
Nearly trembling from the pressure of her nerves, the honey-haired girl leaned forward, tongue extended, as she quickly licked some of the ice cream off of his cone. It was cold and delightful, much like she’d expected, but the heat from her face melted it too quick and she really couldn’t enjoy it with how hard her heart was hammering in her rib cage.
She withdrew herself almost immediately, sure that her body was flushed with a bright crimson.. but she did attempt to return the flavor, nervously offering her own cone out to him, “ Y-You can .. erm .. t-try some too .. if y-you want .. “

Joints cracked as fingers interlocked, golden eyes narrowed as they glazed over the fallen men below who wheezed for air. Pathetic. If it was something Draze didn’t like, it was shit like this. A group of thugs ganging up on one person.
Arcturus growled, the large Salamence beside him, tail lashing out, watching more of a fight. The dragon was always eager to clash; most of the time, too eager, too violent and aggressive, but here, he thought it was justified. Plus, none of them were actually bleeding, so they were fine. Probably.
He turned back to the smaller female, and walked over, placing a hand on her shoulder. “Yeah, they’re just unconscious. They’ll be fine in a while. Now, they didn’t hurt you right?”
It wasn’t as if the smaller of the two trainers didn’t believe him, but it was still a bit unnerving to see such a sight displayed out in front of her. She didn’t often encounter things that she hadn’t been able to properly either avoid or encounter head on as of late. She wasn’t the strongest trainer in the world, after all, but she’d been so dedicated to her studies prior that she certainly was able to retain a lot of the information she’d learned and was at the very least, able to perform specific strategies that played to her advantage when it came to battling.
Of course, she hadn’t been expecting to be cornered like she had -- so disheveled and disillusioned that she hadn’t even time to call out her own companions in an attempt to defend herself. She didn’t want to think about what might of happened had the taller male not suddenly came to her rescue.
“ N-No, I’m alright .. “ she said after he’d addressed her, his tone much softer than the one she’d heard when he’d been giving out attack orders. To make sure she hadn’t sustained any injuries, the lithe-framed girl glanced down at herself. There was a little bit of dirty debris along the ends of her skirt from the skirmish, but other than that, she was in perfect health.
“ Th-Thank you .. for helping me.. “ she began again, her trembling voice slowly, but surely piecing itself back together. “ They just came out of nowhere .. “
“Hm?” While he was relieved that she seemed to calm down a little, Lykos himself was now tense. It took him a few moments to realize that she was probably referring to Silvia.
“Oh, you mean Silvia-” He took a hand out of his pockets and petted the pidgeotto “Y-yeah, she’s my pokemon- I’ve had her for a long time now, I-I guess- since she was a Pidgey”
‘…And she’s grown a little heavier since evolving’ He thought the last part to himself, not saying the thought aloud for he was certain that the pokemon would be annoyed.
As if reading his thoughts, Silvia made a huffing sound before pulling at Lykos’ hair with her beak “Ow ow ow ow– S-silvia stop that-!”
Perhaps she had been mistaken when he’d first called out to her as looking at him now, his hands gentle as he caressed his Pokemon with the utmost case, the other male seemed much more approachable. She suddenly felt foolish for growing so upset when he’d spoken to her, cheeks reddening as she thought herself embarrassed about so rudely tensing up and shuddering, but it still was such an odd thing to say to her. Surely, it would of caught anyone off guard.
Aurelie listened politely as the other mentioned that he’d had the other since she was only in her beginning stages and she immediately figured he must of been a traveler. It wasn’t uncommon for people to keep the same Pokemon in Kalos -- she was a prime example as she’d had Ourson, her now Ursaring, since he’d only been a Teddiursa -- but with the growing trends, trainers were more keen on switching out here and there to grow with the times.
It was comforting to hear that he’d kept up with her for so long and that he --
“ Hehe! “
Against her better judgement, the second that the petite saw Silvia reach over and start relentlessly pecking at her trainer, she burst into a small fit of laughter. It must of been rather rude, however, as she quickly tried to contain her giggles, doing her best to stifle them as the flying-type tugged at other others hair.
“Let me help you with that.”
“ Thank you! “
When she’d first decided on beginning this journey only a short time ago, the petite female had been worried that the outside world was much more terrifying than what she had read about in textbooks or seen on television. She knew that there was corruption, of course, as no society was perfect – but she never would of thought that there would be so many kindhearted people who were willing to assist people they’d never even met before. It was something that truly warmed her heart and she couldn’t help but mirror the feeling welling inside of her, a sunny smile tugging at her lips as she looked up at the older female.
She’d been struggling with a number of papers she’d printed out at the library, a tall stack positioned in her tiny arms as she’d attempted to navigate unfamiliar territory. She had intended on asking the local Professor on behalf of Santalune’s Trainer School about some new curriculum for the upcoming year and anything else they’d thought necessary, but she never thought she would of gotten this much information to take back with her.
Aurelie had just been about to topple over with the mountain of papers before someone quickly stepped in, scooping a little over half of the documents away from her and gesturing in the northern direction, “ We’re not too far! .. Uhm, I think so anyway .. “
rookiecherrywolf continued from here !
Even when the other had sputtered out a genuine apology and shoved his hands into his pockets in an attempt to show he had meant no harm by suddenly addressing her, the lithe-framed female could hardly contain her quivering. It might of been a tad bit eccentric to someone looking in on the scene, but given her history, the honey-haired female had a difficult time enough when it came to communicating with others. To have someone she was unfamiliar with allowing to touch her was just borderline frightening.
Reddish orbs cracked open when she heard something flapping in the distance, her misty hues glancing at the sight of a flying-type who moved to land on the others shoulder.
“ O-Okay.. th-thank you .. “ she decided on after a few moments of attempting to calm herself down, her head tilting up as the other male seemed to tower over her. She assumed he must of been an older trainer from outside of the region as Pidgeotto’s were not common from Kalos. “ I-Is this .. your friend .. ? “
“Calm down. It’s okay. No one was hurt.”
Even with an extensive amount of knowledge regarding these types of scenarios underneath her belt as a result of her dedicated schooling, it was times like these that made the smaller trainer realized just how much weaker she was than she actually believed herself to be. She’d had years of battle practice and spent many sleepless nights studying in order to pass tests that had much more dangerous framework than what she’d just encountered, but it seemed that everything she had learned flew right out the window.
Aurelie stood behind the taller, red-headed male in the midst of some bodies strewn around them in the heart of the forest. The emblems that were on their designated uniforms torn as they wheezily breathed, gasping for air after their relentless beating. It was no doubt that they were Team Rocket members – she’d recognized their symbol when she’d first mistakenly stumbled upon them this afternoon – but she never imagined they would of tried to engage her even when she had no intentions of battling them.
“ A-Are you sure .. ? “ she asked timidly when the other broke the silence, his tone calm and even despite how chaotic the scene before them was. She’d never been so thankful that a random stranger had emerged from the depths of the woodland – his quick thinking easily saving her and her companions from what could of been something disastrous.
She slowly opened her eyes, reddish hues peeking over the other as she watched the disarray with an anxious look, “ Y-You just .. left them unconscious .. ? “.
“I just want to run my fingers through your hair.” [[ Let's have funny convos~! ]]
“ – !! “
The instant that the other suddenly spoke, his tone oddly clear and decisive, the more petite of the pair promptly raised her slender arms above her head in an attempt to shield her bangs from being smoothed down by the taller male in front of her. For someone to approach her given her small stature and play with the ends of her hair was not something completely uncommon as she looked more like an elementary student more so than someone who had just turned eighteen, but it still made her uncomfortable.
“ P-Please don’t do that .. “ she said, her voice strained and quivering as she trembled at the idea of some strange boy petting her. She appreciated that he’d pointed out that her hair had been misplaced by a recent gust of wind, but suddenly reaching out to touch her was out of the question! She only wished she could of been more assertive in these types of situations and either more firmly demand he step away from her or at the very least, manage to run.
Her whims and wishes betrayed her, however, as she ended up only shaking more so like a Leafeon as opposed to sounding steady like she had intended. She could only hope that he realized that his actions were making her uneasy.
Adorable Starters
“Guess what I got you!”
“That looks cute on you.”
“Sorry I worked late today. Want to do something?”
“I just want to run my fingers through your hair.”
“I’m exhausted. Want to just cuddle?”
“Calm down. It’s okay. No one was hurt.”
“It’s a beautiful day. Want to have a picnic?”
“Want to marathon something on Netflix?”
“Care to dance?”
“That was a nice surprise. What’s the occasion?”
“You are so adorable!”
“There’s a festival this weekend. Want to check it out?”
“Does this look silly?”
“Plenty of room under the blankets…”
“Let me help you with that.”
“Can we just stay in today?”
“I cleared my schedule to spend all day with you.”
“How did you like the flowers?”
“I feel like going to the beach.”
“Let’s get you out of the middle. People can be so hasty–” Immediately following his statement a passerby knocked right into him, but Gil held his ground, leading the girl toward him so he was between her and the current. He maneuvered them to a business building and sat her down on a bench, following suit while he gathered his energy.
“Since…since you’re small, you should stay to the side of the road. Crowds grow very fast and you might get stuck in one.”
“Th-Thank you .. ! “
No sooner had she nearly collided with the male who had so chivalrously rescued her from nearly getting trampled in the heard of busy tourists, the lithe-framed girl suddenly found herself positioned on a bench just outside of the roaring crowd. She hadn’t realized since she’d been in the middle of all the chaos, but it certainly didn’t look safe from the outside.
“ I-It just happened so quickly .. “ she continued, her cheeks heating up as she both found herself embarrassed at having to be saved and grateful that someone noticed her smaller self among the turbulence, “ I-I’m sorry .. to erm, bother you .. “
Her voiceran in his ears soft as she was whileshe spoke her name, the familiar French overtaking his life once more. He didn’tmind it, since although he was from a French family, a lot of his relatives hadpretty boring names. Every now and then there would be a pretty one, but itwould be from those he didn’t particularly know well, so their name would slipaway in the end. He tried his hardest to memorize her name, it sounded like thename of an actress’. Perhaps her family had a connection to that work of art,but she seemed too timid to be in the idol industry.
His eyeswatched the playful little Pokémon, glad that it was having fun even though itstrainer had gotten wet. It’s probably never felt the splash of a wave before,so of course this new experience was exciting. And it seems his presence madeit all the more. He made sure to keep a close eye on the girl and her Pokémon,so he stuck close to her the best he could.
“Um… do you…know your way around…?” he had a feeling he was headed the wrong direction, wherever they were headed in the first place. He just wanted to be carefularound the ocean. But something felt wrong to him, he knew that. The sky wasbecoming cloudy ever-so-slightly and the waves were becoming rougher andascending the surface faster.
“I’ve onlybeen here a couple times before…” he muttered his words and looked up, knowingthe city was close by, he just wasn’t quite sure how to get to it. There were alot of rock structures in the area, and the waves were hitting against them. He did remember theweather forecast mentioning a storm brewing, but he didn’t expect it to be thissoon. Plus, it was clear only a few moments ago. He wondered if a Pokémon wereplaying a trick on both of them, seeing as no one else was around the area andthey have been walking for a while now—why was she following him, again? Notthat he minded, but he didn’t realize they were absentmindedly walking the samepath.
“We need toget back.” he knew Unova’s weather was terrible. He wondered if the timing forit was on purpose, or if it was just bad karma. He looked at the petite girl, wondering if she was alright.
“You should…return him.” he hoped the Togepi wasn’t the type of Pokémon that refused to goinside its pokéball, since there were a few Pokémon that were like that. And itwas still young, so perhaps it’d be a troublemaker.
The small exchange that was shared slowly drifted into a lull as the two trainers aimlessly began walking a few feet away from where the waves crashed along the shoreline. It wasn’t exactly uncomfortable, being as both of them seemed a little quiet in their own regard, but it still had a feeling of timid awkwardness. It seemed that the few sightseers who had seized smaller sections of the beach earlier were beginning to pack up their belongings and heading back to where they had originated from, leaving the atmosphere to seem much more hushed with only the sound of ripples caressing the sand. Before too much longer, the entire strip became free of any other life aside from the two trainers gradually making their way across the coast.
The smaller of the two occupied herself with watching the companion nestled in her arms as they continued on in silence for a few meters, the once energetic infant beginning to grow drowsy from such an adventurous day. Aurelie couldn’t exactly blame him for starting to feel tired, they’d been out here since this morning in an attempt to make the fullest of the day. She’d been nervous about how populated the beach might of been and had decided on coming early in order to secure a nice spot, but it probably hadn’t been necessary.
Carefully, the petite girl brushed her fingers over the Pokemon’s tiny face, ridding the leftover bits of sand from the spray earlier as it stifled a yawn.
“ .. I’m really not sure, I’ve never been here before .. “ she explained when the other finally spoke, breaking the silence and diverting her attention back towards him. This had been a spur of the moment trip, after all, and she hadn’t been traveling for very long prior. She was sure she’d stumble across a path somewhere along the way, but she really had no direction otherwise. She followed his gaze to the outline of buildings and clifftops that seemed close to them, but as they drifted down she found no clear sign of how to exactly make their way over in that general route.
Aurelie blinked once she heard him speak again, his tone a little more firm as he told her that they would have to return soon. She momentarily wondered if perhaps she really had been bothering him, especially now that she realized she’d kept his pace and was absently following him, but the look on his face when he turned towards her made it obvious that it wasn’t the case.
“ He seems pretty sleepy anyway, “ she said gently, her eyes moving back towards the snoozing Pokemon in her arms. It was amazing how he could go from causing such havoc to peaceful in less than five minutes. Being cautious so as not to disturb his slumber the honey-haired girl quickly un-clipped the Pokeball she’d fastened to the chain-like accessory that adorned her bathing suit. With a small click! the ball opened and a reddish hue appeared, recalling the Togepi back into it’s resting place for the remainder of the afternoon.
Aurelie moved to secure the Pokeball back to where she had originally attached it, thankful when it gave her no troubles. It didn’t look like much, but it was reliable enough to last the entire day without her worrying.
She turned her head towards the sea for a moment, watching the waves crash down in a series of mildly-tempered sessions, caressing the beige sand at the shoreline with bubbles of foam before they retreated quickly back towards the sea. It’d been calm only moments before, but as she glanced out at the darkening sky, the first few signs of a near-tempest storm began to brew and the water that had been a good distance away hurriedly raced up towards them.
