Be subscribed to at LEAST the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. I force myself to spend 15 minutes per day on each site catching up on world news. There's really no way around it. To be educated means knowing what's happening in the world at any given time, and I'm sorry but Buzzfeed and theshaderoom aren't gonna cut it.

Find a really good podcast! Growing up my mom had NPR playing on a speaker 24/7 and to this day, I still have it playing in the background whenever I'm in my dorm room. NPR is my absolute favorite and I don't think anything else really compares to it, but find a podcast that you genuinely enjoy and just keep it playing as background noise.

Develop a weekly learning goal: Sometimes trying to learn about a new topic is daunting. So break the learning process up into weekly chunks. Don't try to become a crypto expert by Friday, try getting a working knowledge of NFT's by then.

Watch documentaries: I love love love documentaries because they are such a fun and low-effort way to educate yourself on a niche topic. Netflix has some of the best docs I've ever seen and I watch a new one every Friday and it's honestly the highlight of my week.

Learn from other people: Full disclosure, I'm not the most outgoing person in the world. I don't make a new friend often but when I do, it's likely because they have something to teach me. One of my best friends is OBSESSED with cars and is always sending me updates on new car releases and Formula One stats. I personally don't really care about cars but I'm happy to have become a near expert on them in the most passive way possible. So find a friend/partner that has knowledge they're dying to share and let them play teacher.

Read the summaries of the classics: My biggest flex is that I read 3+ books per week. I've read all the classic books on wealth, success, and motivation under the sun. Well, the summaries of them at least. Why read a 350-page novel when you can read a 50 page book summarizing it and extrapolate the same information? Work smart, not hard ladies. Read the summaries and save yourself a ton of time and energy.

Invest in a book subscription: One of the best choices I've made has been subscribing to Scribd, an online platform that gives you access to pretty much every book ever written (and book summaries of them as well). Whether I'm sitting in class or in a waiting room there's an 80% chance I'm reading a book on Scribd. There's nothing more convenient than being able to download and read books on your phone and it's hard to not meet your reading goals when you have so many books right on your phone.
