Turns out we had enough colors that matched close enough to run a test stitch. Only 1 mistake, I'll let you guys try and find it lol

It looks like a mess, I know, but there is a method to the madness. I've already run a test on the connector lines for the dots, and it turned out exactly how I wanted. I see some spots that may have potential issues, but I think this design should stitch out good the first go around. Here's hoping!

For more context: all of the little connector lines auto trim after about 10mm of spacing, so most of the long lines aren't there in the finished piece, but all of the shorter lines prevent a massive amount of stops for trims in the machine, making this design move way faster, with just a little bit of thread trimming required from me between each color.

This design is set to use 15 out of the 16 heads on the embroidery machine, and requires me to get a few new colors due to the diluted nature of the pallet, so I won't be stitching this out for at least a week 🥲

I really love this piece so far, and may size it up once I see how the test stitches go (and depending on the jacket I put it on) Currently it is about 8" square.

This piece took between 4 and 6 hours to digitize, and made me really think about how to use connector lines to make designs go smoother and faster.

Any idea what the Spandy children would be like?

Hello anon!! I didn't expect this ask so it took me with surprise, but it's an interesting topic to talk about

The truth is... I can't imagine them having children! Either married <:D

I really have a hard time thinking the future of my OTPs and ships, I always stick with their present but mainly their platonic relationships, I really don't know how to explain it

I have always appreciated more the platonic interactions than the traditionally expected romantic ones, sometimes I think of spandy as a aroace relationship I think it really suit them and their canon interactions/intentions ☘️

Ok but with that aside and clear let's focus on your question, even if I already said I am not fond of the idea of them having children, it would be so cute and funny if -instead of a biological child- it was an experiment, like Chip (Plankton and Karen's robot son) from the new seasons 🤖

This is following the scientist Sandy from season 4 - onwards, taking account of ace SpongeBob and just because it's a very fun idea! :]
