Metamorph - It was more or less inspired by “changes in life”, because it can look pretty but actually can be rough and not always easy, right?

I am trying/exercising to not over-render my work and keep the painterly quality to it. Do you think it works or do you like superclean artwork? I kinda like the messiness.

Hi all, I hope you are okay! I suddenly got a lot of sales from my Spoonflower shop! It’s a nice surprise but I can’t really backtrack where it suddenly came from (except for the individuals) so I just wanted to share: thank you! It makes me happy and motivates me to make more so if you have any suggestions then let me know. At the moment though I am really busy still with teaching (switching to online education is quite a hassle) but if I have bit more time now at home I could make something new. So: Thank you dear liker and purchaser <3 !

But the changing of winds, and the way waters flow... ...What I wouldn't give for just a moment to hold Because, I live for this feeling, this everglow - Everglow, Coldplay Digital painting by me in Procreate on iPad. What I feel when I hear this song while taking a walk during sunset. I don’t paint because people ask me to, push me to or expect me to. I paint and create, because then I am (connected to) my feelings So I can keep hold of that a little longer, because there is nothing in comparison with that, not in the rest of the world and my life. So instead of human functionality, I am the sense, a conscious moment, a feeling, an emotion. And to be honest I wish I could live ‘in’ that forever, it is more ‘me’ than anything else.

Reblogging this for relevance. I forgot a lot of things that I made before, sadly, sometimes it feels like a former life. But I remembered this one though.

But the illustration is... well, If you want to connect, then you shouldn’t dissociate yourself from the world. But I guess this image might show a changing point. I love images of winged beings, but maybe next time one that is lower to earth and not alone would be nice. Daring to show the wings.
