Hola :) Here's the cover I painted for the wonderful author Beth Alvarez for the last book in her fantasy series, Spectrum Legacy! I'm grateful for the trust she has put in me to bring her characters to life. lil guy on a lil guy :3 I don't usually yap but this one's kinda special to me so I'll yap a little. I started this animation on a whim. While i was making this i named the fly "greenie" in my layers. I don't know why, he wasn't even green, I just felt like it. I think I was thinking of a friend's cat who really liked greenies. Over the next year I had a bunch of health problems, and had a hard time finishing anything.

So I was working on this on and off in my free time, but it was a struugggle.

Lately I turned a corner, I've been feeling better, and finally finished it. It's not perfect, and I had to lose the cape, but it's done ;) Which brings me back to greenie. The day I finished this animation I learnt that this cat passed away. I couldn't believe it. I have never met her irl but she's just always been there with my friend. Man, none of us were ready. Well her favorite treat was greenies. She ate so much of it. Her owner told me she also liked eating insects when she was young. She'd 100% eat greenie, fairy and all. They were telling me that they believed when a pet loves you they'll take your illness from you. I think she just wants to eat greenie in cat heaven. Guess it's for you Wynnie :')
