@peypeyfizz
hello sunshine
mondaze
There are so many people in the world and so many opportunities we donāt need to be so competitive with each other. Just be happy for someone and congratulate them.
After you took the stairs instead of the elevator but realised you don't have abs @peypeylala
we CAN. be KIND.
I always wait to post until I have something to talk about that truly touches my heart. Tonight I found that. Here it goes:
First:
Today I saw a trending topic called #WhatIWantThatICantHave . To me, saying that we ācanāt haveā something is lowering our expectations for what we believe we deserve, or ācan have.ā I saw tweets tonight with the hashtag saying things like: ā#WhatIWantThatICantHave a healthy-non abusive relationshipā ā#WhatIWantThatICantHave self loveā ā#WhatIWantThatICantHave People who care about meā This hurt me. I just wanted to just hug those people and tell them that they CAN have those things. They DESERVE them, and they WILL have them. We canāt tell ourselves that we ācanātā. We need to start telling ourselves, and each other, that we ācanā. And we will. Some things take time. Some things hurt. And some things only happen if theyāre truly meant to, and they will happen at the the right time.
However, since I couldnāt hug those people, I tweeted this: #IWantWhatICantHave This is a trending hashtag & Iām not a fan. Letās be thankful for what we have & be positive this 2016 #IWantWhatIHave Also-you deserve everything & more- so if you have a dream or a āwantā go out there, work hard & get it. YOU are capable of anything.
After I posted the tweet, I saw an overwhelming response from people using my new hashtag #WhatIWantThatIHave. People listed off the simple and big things that they are thankful for.
I loved how people started writing about positive things. It was so inspiring to me, and made me realize something else: We, as a generation, control what trends on social media. We control what we put out there, and we control what we engage in. Iām hoping that the next time we see something trending that is not positive, we remember that we can change it. We have the tools to reach out to those we may or may not know, and tell them that they are worthy of having all of their dreams and wishes come true. That even though we may not be able to physically reach out and hug them, we are still able to do something about it, and use the internet to inspire, encourage, and spread positivity.
Second-
In the many wonderful tweets that I received, there were also a handful of tweets that took my tweet in a whole other direction. They said things like:
āYou are only saying that because you have people who you pay to open your doors for you.ā
First off: I canāt tell you how many times I hear this. I started acting at 5, and by age 7 my classmates were asking me when they could come to my āmansion.ā My teacher would look at me, and we would share a smile. I wasnāt sure what a mansion was, but I knew I didnāt live in oneā¦. (Spoiler alert: I still donāt. ) I began realizing at an early age, that people assume.
People assume that because I do what I do, the world is 100% perfect for me. Well, can we be real? Nobodyās life is 100% perfect. I get bad news, lots of it. I cry, I hurt, I feel betrayed, I laugh, I smile, I feel loved, I clean dishes, I do chores, I carry suitcases in and out of every hotel, and goodness knows I OPEN DOORS for myself and others⦠:) I would have mowed the lawn today, but our lawn mower wouldnāt start. lol. I helped Mom take down the Christmas lights, much like many of you are doing. I also need to finish my science report⦠please remind me. Anyways, my point with all of this is to say that I do feel everything you do, because we are ALL human. :)
Second- Just because you CAN say it, doesnāt mean you SHOULD. Just because you donāt know this person, doesnāt mean it doesnāt hurt them. Iāll keep this one simple because Iāve said it in almost all of my posts: Words DO hurt. Please remember that and choose what you say wisely, because once you write it and hit the send button, thereās no taking it back.
Third- I canāt tell you how much I wanted to engage in those tweets. Especially when they brought my mother into it by saying that she was dmāing them⦠(You guys- she just learned what twitter even was, so it 100% wasnāt her haha) One thing Iāve learned, is that people with mean intentions want you to engage. It motivates them. So, next time youāre in your room reading a mean tweet, comment, or text, and feeling low remember this:
1- Youāre amazing.
2- You are in control of your happiness- not them.
3- You are loved. So very loved, by so many people. Me included.
4- You have the power to turn a situation around for the better.
5- Letās try to respond back with kindnessā¦.. even though it may be hard. Ooo and no subtweeting. I know this one is especially hard ;) ahah
6- And letās be thankful for everything that happens. Even when we go through hard times.
For example: tonight I picked myself up, and told myself to stop feeling bad for myself and to embrace that there was something positive in this situation & that is: a tumblr post. I actually thank the people that wrote those hurtful tweets because they helped me find the words to write this.
Iāve been repeating those 6 tips to myself all night. They have helped me, and I hope they will help you if there ever comes a time that you need them :)
This is a New Year. A chance to create an entirely new chapter. Letās write this one together and let it be one full of light, with not even a line of darkness.
If this post touches one heart tonight, than my heart is smiling. Thank you for reading :)
Happy New Year and remeber: we CAN, be KIND, Bailee

The definition of perfection. @peypeylala
Itās funny Iāve come this point in my life where I donāt want to have a ton of friends. I only want those two good ones. The people I know I can call anytime, who wonāt think my dreams are too big, or the person who is content with each otherās silence.

5 Things Iāve Learned These Past Few Months and Why Iām Sharing Them.
Friends,
How are you? Itās been a little while since my last post (for those who may have forgotten or maybe didnāt see, it was on Labels and Stereotypes.) I want to take a moment to thank everyone who took the time to not only read my post but who took part in it. I am still in awe and get goose bumps every time I watch the videos that you sent me, ripping up all the hurtful and untrue words you have ever been called. Thank you to those who shared my post and for your supportive and kind words. When I wrote it I had no clue that posting it would turn into anything. I was simply just hoping to touch one heart. I can honestly say that every single one of you touched my heart. Thank YOU for doing that.
Alright, lets get into another post and hopefully encourage one another again. Shall we?!
This post is going to be about the top 5 things that I have learned in the last several months that have changed my life for the better. Itās time to open up a dialogue about remembering to be who we are, choosing positivity over negativity and allowing ourselves to be happy, and it begins right now. Hereās what Iāve learned so far.
1: Donāt let others opinions change who YOU are:Ā
Have you ever had someoneās opinions, like I have, make you question who you are and bring you down?
You see, we live in a world where cliques do exist, certain billboards showcase what we are supposed to look like, where we are constantly being told āwhatās in styleā āwhatās trendyā āyou need to be coolā when in reality none. of. this. stuff. matters. Why does it not matter? The answer is simple. Can you imagine a world where every single person talked the same, dressed the same, acted the same, danced the same, cooked the same, cried the same, laughed the same, or even felt the same emotions? How limiting and unexciting would that world would be? Do you know how wonderful it is that you and I and your best friend simply arenāt the same? I believe in my heart that God created each and every one of us knowing that we would all bring a little something different to this big world and sometimes peopleās opinions get to us and we forget that. I want you to know that if this has ever happened to you, itās okay. You arenāt alone. My advice to you would be this: Live your life like no one is watching, dance to your favorite song, cry so hard and let your mascara run, order two desserts instead of one or buy that onesie youāve been wanting and have a girls night. Do what makes YOU happy and what makes YOU a better person because guess what? BEING YOU is whatās COOL. Trends go out of style, but YOU never can. Donāt forget that.
2: Choose Happiness
Happiness isnāt something that you can buy. It isnāt something that will always be there for you. It isnāt guaranteed in every friendship or relationship BUT it is something that we need to allow ourselves to be.Ā The truth is this: we all want to feel happy but sometimes itās hard. Iāve experienced this first hand. Sometimes situations bring you down, moments disappoint you, relationships fail and people just arenāt who you thought they were and that hurts. This will happen to ALL of us at some point in our life. Weāve all had that someone in our life who brings us down instead of lifting us up, who bring out our flaws instead of our strengths and who makes us focus on negativity rather than positivity. This clearly isnāt good. Iāve been there. If someone is making you feel this way, then you are letting them take away your happiness and that MUST STOP today.
3: Be honest with yourself.
In my opinion, honesty is one of the most important things in any kind of relationship. Yes, honesty can hurt. Sometimes you wish you didnāt hear the person you are dating say the words, āI cheatedā and instead you want to hear āI didnātā. However, at the end of the day if you arenāt honest, you canāt build trust. If you donāt have trust then there is no truth or value to that relationship anymore. In life, there will be times when you fail to be honest with yourself about how youāre feeling. I want to share with you a little about a situation I was recently in. In my heart I knew that I wasnāt happy. I knew there was no trust or respect and I knew that I was constantly being put down. I knew in my gut that this was wrong, but I kept trying to convince myself otherwise. I think the reason why I did this was because I was afraid of letting this person go and somehow I felt like I did something wrong. Iāve realized now that we lie to ourselves about how we are actually feeling because we feel guilty for simply having any negative feelings. Iāve realized, that we forget that itās okay to be sad, or that itās okay to be disappointed or itās okay to be annoyed that you were wrong to trust someone. I want you to know that itās okay for us to be honest, and to protect our hearts and our value as human beings.
4 Be brave enough to recognize that certain people are harmful to you.
What does being brave mean to you? Being brave to me is about how you deal with a situation that truly scares you. Sometimes people come in your life and they test who you are as a person. They start to challenge your morals, your generous spirit, your kind heart and your innocence or vulnerability. That can be a very scary thing. When this happens itās easier for us to start listening to that person and that negative voice and to start doubting our own worth. It takes a lot of bravery to stand up and realize that this situation is wrong and harmful to us. We MUST respect ourselves, otherwise how should we expect to be respected by others. If anyone is holding you back, stopping you from being happy or pulling you down rather than lifting up⦠BE BRAVE. TAKE A LEAP. AND CHANGE YOUR PATH.
5: Be loving and kind to everyone.
My mom has a sign in our kitchen in LA that says: Because Nice Matters
I know that sometimes we can be emotionally exhausted from what others have done to us, and we think āWhy should I show them kindness and respect when they donāt show it to me?ā I was guilty of asking myself this exact same question, after being repeatedly mistreated by someone. Hereās what Iāve learned about the importance of being kind to all. We donāt know for a fact what this person is going through and why they decided to be mean and take it out on us. We arenāt in control of their actions. We are only in control of OURS. Therefore, we need to treat them the way that we would want to be treated. I promise you that it takes way more energy and time to be mean to others than it does to be a light or a burst of positivity and kindness, even to those who donāt show it back to you. Itās way more fun to be the reason behind someoneās smile than it is to be the reason behind someoneās tears.
If someone is doing anything to make you feel unworthy, hurt, not special or cared for than please please, keep your head held up, kill them with class and kindness and walk away.
I also want to encourage YOU to remember these five points in your life. Please do not be afraid to take care of yourself, to always be HONEST with yourself, to know that you are BRAVE enough to change situations and to always do everything with a kind heart. I also want you to never forget that you, not others, are in charge of your happiness. YOU are in control of what you want to spend your time and energy on. You can choose to not sit around and wait for the guy/girl to text you back and instead you can spend that time doing something you love and opening your mind to the world of possibilities. You have the strength and bravery to forbid any negativity to come into your life, and if it starts to creep in you have the power to say ānoā because no one can make you say āyesā but you. Donāt settle for anything other than respect and love, be it in a friendship or relationship. You are worth so much to this world! Sprinkle your generosity and positivity around like confetti, and always leave a little bit of your sparkle everywhere you go. Remember that no opinion from others can define who you are. Remove those who pull you down and celebrate those who lift you up.
You may be wondering what made me share this and why. You see, I always want to be as open and honest with you all, because I feel in my heart that the more we discuss what we are going through the less we feel all alone. I learned these five things when I was put in a situation with a person who I cared for deeply. I was hurt. Time after time again. After being brave enough to face it, I realized that I was getting no respect or honesty from the person. After removing myself from the situation I was able to reflect on my time with this person. This allowed me to realize that I deserve to be happy, that I deserve to be respected and that I deserve to not be lied to. It hit me that I wasnāt the only person going through all these feelings and confusion. This is why Iām writing this post and sharing what Iāve learned. I know what itās like to be confused, hurt or to feel un-worthy and I also know that NO ONE deserves to feel this way.
Lastly, please know that you are not alone in any of this. We are all going through similar situations, so lets go through them together⦠lets be here for each other.
Now, it wouldnāt be a āBailee tumblr postā if I didnāt challenge you just a little bit. Lately, writing has been a big escape for me and has been very therapeutic. Perhaps it will help you too. Take out a piece of paper and write down every positive thing in your life. It can be people, objects, memories, or anything that fills you with happiness. Now, I want you to take a separate piece of paper and write down the things that create negativity in your life. Once thatās done post the piece of paper with your positives somewhere that you can see it right when you wake up every morning, and put the piece of paper with your negatives in the TRASH⦠because friends that negativity isnāt worth your time or energy. Make today your first step in creating a positive and uplifting life for yourself. You deserve it.
Be kind. Spread love. Inspire others and show respect to everyone, xoxo Bailee
