ā Hey, so I brought some good old Valentines chocolate assortments and a giant teddy bear for us because weāre lonely saps like that. We can stream some chick flicks and rom coms from Netflix right ? ā peyton inquired as he slowly walked into belleās place and bowed playfully, handing her the teddy bear with a cheeky wink.Ā
ā Call me an old romantic, but I really hope Nephelia does something special for Valentines. I mean its got the whole romanticism appeal already, so why not make use of it ? Itās ethereal, they could really play that up for tourism gains. ā
āWouldnāt it just be the same old cheesy red and pink hearts everywhere? Nephelia is beautiful, but thereās not much you can do without being cliche.ā
ā Hopefully not considering the island within itself is rather a replicate of typical paradise like destinations so it has all the right resources to make something look really aesthetically pleasing and fit the mood. Do you have a Valentines ? ā

ā Oh shush you ā Peyton laughed back, gently nudging the others shoulder as he settled beside them with a more relaxed composure, always feeling at ease with the playful other around.Ā ā But of course. Not that Iām getting all corny you say, although you totally are and it isnāt a bad thing. How is your future spouse anyway ? donāt even say he isnāt you two are so married even now ā he teased playfully wiggling his eyebrows at the other.
They looked at each other all night. Hands touched, smiles exchanged, hearts skipped beats. But they were just friends.

āItās nice to be in our own bubble for a bit.ā Haneul nodded, voice becoming more confident in itās tone. He was still flustered from the flowers, but he was trying his best to seem cool. He frowned a little at the others hesitation, but soon shook it away and started heading towards the cove. āI h-have my polaroid camera in my backpack. I thought we could get n-nice pictures before the sun goes down.ā
"Definitely, we're a dream team anyway, I always think our bubble is the best bubble to spend time in, you know I've said it before but it's true I like it best when I'm with you" Peyton replied without hesitation, certain of that if anything and less afraid to admit that than the big three words that seemed to plague his mind. He hummed as he slowly started down the steps trying to appear level headed though he knew he was far from it. He followed after the other happily, watching fondly as he seemed to ease into the space he knew so well. "You have a Polaroid? That's adorable, I love polaroids. That's- that's a really good idea actually, do you ever stop being so beautifully minded?" He murmured affectionately with a soft chuckle.

Haneul couldnāt stop looking at Peyton, not even if he tried, unable to ignore how flattering the outfit was. All he wanted was to be able to express that thought, but he held onto those words. His eyes flickered to the flowers and his shy smile turned into a brighter one, eyes glimmering as he took them. His cheeks were definitely turning red and he didnāt dare look at Peyton again for a few seconds. He couldnāt find the words to thank him, so looked up again to nod and smile bashfully to show his gratefulness. He timidly took his arm, leaning in closer. āI like to sit in the cove. Itās separated from everything else, like our own little hideaway.ā
Peyton looked down shyly as the other swept his gaze over his outfit and scuffed his shoes on the ground a little pretending like he had something else to focus on so he didn't embarrass the both of them. Peyton let out a tiny sharp exhale of air in nerves and excitement at the same time and he melted at the smile he found on Haneul's face as he took in the flowers, deliberately picked with that special colour in mind. He swallowed thickly as he looked away knowing his endearment was showing through hugely and balanced the basket on his other arm instead. When he met the others gaze again he smiled back sweetly and nodded his acceptance of the thanks before his eyes widened in surprise and joy at the other taking his arm when he offered, smiling softly to himself as he flushed when the other got closer. "Our own little hideaway... yeah,that sounds like exactly what we need. More private, that's pretty...great for experiencing a sunset as well" he murmured having to fight off the urge to say romantic as he glanced back at the other with a soft expression.

Peyton tapped his foot nervously against the wall he leaned on as he waited for Haneul at the stone stairs leading down onto the beach, despite having said it was platonic before there was only so much Peyton could lie to himself and had ended up getting the other some yellow tulips and white roses, which sat in the picnic basket and he chewed at his lip anxiously as he wondered if heād gone in too hard when Haneul appeared round the corner. āHey! You look- great. Iām glad that youāre here, so how was Valentineās Day? If the answer is terrible hopefully Iāll at least make your night a little betterā
Haneul was hopelessly and uncontrollably nervous for his day with Peyton. It wasnāt a date, but it was on valentines and he couldnāt deny to himself that he had a crush on the other. For two hours, heād tried to find the right outfit, settling on an oversized yellow t-shirt and some pale acid wash jeans. He smiled shyly when he met the other, hands fiddling with the hem of his shirt.Ā āT-Thank you. S-so do you.ā he replied, voice gentle.Ā āIt wasā¦ Itās been a long day. I h-hope yours has been okay.ā
Peyton had spent ages deliberating beforehand on what type of picnic food he should pack and whether he should dress up or not since it wasn't a date... at least not officially but Peyton knew he was fighting a losing battle with himself, he really liked Haneul and he had from the first day he saw the other. He'd be lying if he made out like he didn't want to spend valentines with the other for more than just platonic reasons. Peyton blushed as he skimmed his eyes over the other and bit at his lip, he had worn a black polo neck and leather jacket with plain black jeans and he couldn't deny he thought that him and Haneul looked good together, he fiddled nervously before smiling bashfully. "Thankyou, oh! These are for you by the way, I just thought if it's valentines I might as well go the whole deal and make you feel special right? So yeah these colours seemed right for you" he murmured presenting the flowers to the other with a rosy cheeked blush before smiling fondly and offering the other his arm with a playful look. "All the better for seeing you, shall we go find a good spot for this then?"
