The thought of marrying the younger woman didn’t even occur to Audrey when they had met. The two were just like any other person who had issues going on inside of them, but they had something special: a connection that was unbreakable. Audrey sighed and then laid her head on the table. “I swear I would hire actors to take our spots right now so we can leave,” she joked.

Peyton laughed softly as she watched her new wife lay her head on the table and she just smiled and laid hers down next to her. “That makes two of us. Unfortunately though, we can’t do that.” She frowned as she sat back up. “Guess that means we should just make the best of the situation and we can escape as soon as we have the chance.”

It was always like this ever since they had met. The two were like the perfect match, even though they didn’t know it back then. In rehab, they had more in common with each other than what they had really thought. Audrey blushed feeling her wife’s lips on her cheek. “How long have we been here again? I’m starting to lose track of time,” she joked.

From the day the couple had met nearly seven years ago, the universe had known that they belonged together -- even if they didn’t know it themselves. Now that they did, things were finally in place. Hearing Audrey ask how long they had been there, Peyton looked at her phone and giggled softly. “Like thirty minutes. We still have a while to go baby.”

Audrey always had a thing for entrancing women and men alike. Even with Roman and Carter, she was always one to get them under their skin, but they couldn’t charge her like Peyton could, and that was one of the things she loved about her the most. “I know! I guess I’ll be a big girl and wait then,” Audrey teased as she sighed and laid her head on the table. “Me too. This beats rehab by miles.”

Peyton knew that Audrey loved to get under her skin. It was why she challenged her back. The two always had a habit of making a game out if it -- something Peyton loved from day one. “Atta girl.” Peyton hummed as she kissed her new wife on the cheek. “Oh definitely.”

The last day of summer, the final chapter of a great book, parting ways with a close friend. But endings are inevitable. Leaves fall, we close the book, you say goodbye. Today is one of those days.

Audrey smugly grinned knowing that Peyton would’ve caught on to what she had said instantly so she found herself laughing almost out loud. Luckily, nobody would’ve known what they were talking about. “Isn’t that my point here? I’m trying to test you to see how long you’re gonna be lasting in such a crowded place like this,” she said. “It’s crazy, right? Never thought I’d have a wedding as big as this.”

From the moment Audrey opened her mouth, Peyton knew that her goal was to get under her skin all along -- after all, it was what Audrey was best at, and Peyton loved it. “If you keep acting like that, I’m not going to last long at all.” She admitted with a laugh before giving her wife a warm smile. “Neither did I, but I’m so glad we did.”

Once the two waltzed on the floor together, it had seemed as if Audrey’s world was completely blank. Blank as in it was just her and Peyton living in it. Who knew that her rehab roommate would soon become the love of her life? Audrey thought that the world worked in mysterious and unexpected ways, and her love story just so happened to be one of those ways. Hearing her wife’s question, Audrey smiled and teased quietly back to her, “Oh we’re gonna end this night with a bang alright. I just wanna get out of here already.”

Peyton listened as Audrey spoke and she couldn’t help but bus at the phrase that her wife let roll from her lips. “Baaaabe.” Peyton hummed as she pushed Audrey playfully. “Stop that. I still have a whole night to make it through and if you do shit like that, I’m not gonna last.” She laughed as she looked out at the people. “Can you believe they’re all here for us?”

Haylee was lucky that over the years she didn’t end up looking like a trashed hobo, even though she would’ve expected that a long time ago. Smoking a pack to two a day and having her hair as a complete mess every day got about 50% of the look through. When Peyton mentioned that she hadn’t quit smoking yet, Haylee rolled her eyes and said, “Well… no. It calms me down.” She then took a deep breath and said, “Truthfully, that’s not the only thing that calms me down.” She then put a journal in front of Peyton and said, “My song book. I didn’t want to tell you because… I didn’t want you to think this was cliche of me to follow in this path.”

Peyton had tried for years to get her little sister to quit smoking, so she was a little disappointed to see that she hadn’t done that yet -- she wasn’t going to dwell on it though, the important thing was that Haylee was still alive and well. Hearing her younger sister admit that smoking wasn’t the only thing that calmed her down, Peyton rose a brow and watched as she pulled the song book from her lap. “Are you kidding? Music is what we Russo sisters know best.” Peyton admitted with a smile as she reached for the book. “May I?”
