Okay, I have nothing against Sierra Boggess. Her Christine was good.

But for God’s sake, she’s not the only one out there. I don’t even think she’s one of the best either. GIVE ANOTHER ACTRESS A CHANCE.

I mean, just look at her resume:

Original Christine in the Las Vegas Spectacular production;

Original Christine in the Love Never Dies London production;

Christine in the 25th anniversary concert at Royal Albert Hall;

Christine for the Broadway production’s 25th anniversary;

Christine for when Norm Lewis stepped in as the first African-American Phantom for the Broadway production.

Is it really that hard to just cast someone else? Like you know, a French actress?

I mean, it’s even actually the reason why I don’t want a remake of the POTO movie right now, because of course she’s going to get cast as Christine.

I’m excited for Sierra to be Christine again because we all thought she was done with the role after leaving Broadway but… why THIS production? This would’ve been such a good opportunity for a French actress who might not have the opportunity to play Christine in an English production. This could’ve been a chance for an unknown to get her name out there. But instead it goes to Sierra. No, I’m not one of those “NOOOO WHY DID SIERRA HAVE TO COME BACK TO THE ROLE” people. I simply think that if ALW wanted to bring her back, he should’ve brought her to a different production, back to Broadway, maybe even London, she’s never done it there other than the 25th anniversary. Just not THIS production.

EDIT: I also realize that this gives French fans a chance to see Sierra, something I’m sure they thought they’d never have. But even so, I just don’t think this is the right production for her to return to the role.
