wow i have not actually posted in a while mostly because the community is small and so it’s hard for me to find motivation to write, not to mention a lot of irl stuff, but hi im alive and okay <333

Hey guys. I really hate to ask this, and I never thought I’d need to, but shit has kinda hit the fan for me.

My horse, Sterling, is only two years old. He colicked a few days ago, and has had to be at the vet on IV fluids. While he is showing signs of improvement, the bills are getting significantly larger. I only get paid minimum wage and I don’t get a lot of hours (not of my own choice, either), so I have no way of being able to pay this myself, and neither can my family.

Just for my friends and people in this server, with proof of donation I will do art for you.

$5+: headshot/bust sketch and/or lineart

$10+: headshot/bust with flat colors/basic shading

More than that and we can discuss more detailed pieces, but bare in mind I’m less comfortable with full bodies and detailed scenery.

Literally any amount is appreciated though, this is extremely important to me and I wouldn’t use the server to advertise this if it wasn’t.

longer answer; ppl took the above and tried to make him soft and Sympathetic and went as far as to say he was a 'trans icon' without realizing what that says and i had to see that all thru the apex tag so i ended up with this form of rage in my body every time i saw his stupid fucking face or saw him mentioned in posts. and when i said i hate him ppl got mad at me for putting character hate in main tags and also called me racist and homophobic for calling him a toxic white man and jokingly calling him a homophobe bc im gay and i dont like him. so i take it out on the fictional man who isnt real and cannot care about some random gay dude online bullying him.

I saw a couple people saying that Forge is gonna come back and that the one in the trailer wasn’t actually him, and that this will make him more interesting because ~~~character development~~~ but really? I hope not. First impressions are important, and all we got was a cocky, lying asshole who’s genuinely not even interesting, and I don’t think character development will really fix that. I don’t want him anymore, and if its true and Respawn does add him back later I’m not gonna enjoy it.

seeing people talk about wraith as only a representation of ptsd or depression makes me sad because she’s so clearly written as a psychotic/schizophrenic character. like yes i know its because of her powers but it’s still so important to me and people seem to think that because that’s not an ‘aesthetic’ or ‘relatable’ mental illness that it can’t be her “brand”

i think a lot of the symptoms overlap which makes her easy for a lot of ppl w a lot of different mental illnesses to relate to nd project on

if yours is diff than others thats perfectly fine nd jst as important but you gotta realize its not a brand thing, its a perspective thing. ppl may not be considering those particular mental illnesses bc they dont know them as well as the ones theyve experienced or have more knowledge abt

oh i 100% agree with that, she’s a relatable character to a lot of people, and you are allowed to project onto her and write hc that you relate to about her. i encourage that and i often do it myself

what i see a lot of is people claiming ‘this is what she is. this is why respawn wrote her like this. i am right.” they like to write off these important parts of her character that I and a lot of people i know really care about, as just part of her characters powers or just for ship angst. the only time they implement these into their headcanons are when its for shipping and having sweet/angsty moments with whoever they ship her with (i see this a lot with miraith, and i DO love those headcanons as well) however, i just wish it wasn’t used as a plot device and people would recognize this is an important part of her character, whether they relate to it themselves.
