       his expression lost it’s humour, head tilting curiously as dark eyes bore into her.   he could be far too analytical, too observant, but when the reward was knowledge, it certainly paid off.  there was something there --- her fear was nearly tangible for a god like him, but beneath it was certainly some sort of daring.   why else would she put herself in this situation?   she was certainly just as fascinated by others as he was.     ❛     ---why?   are you foolish, or too curious for your own good?  either way, you wouldn’t talk so sarcastically with me if you weren’t.     ❜
