Do you have any predictions for future Barbie movies? Mine would be one about Nikki and her and Barbie going to a country to save a fashion company from bankruptcy. 😅

Ever since they did “Barbie & Teresa: Recipe of Friendship” I also had the same hunch that they would do focus movies on each of Malibu Barbie’s friends.

It would be nice to see Nikki, Renee, and Daisy again. It’s hard for me that they got hardcore sidelined now smh

It would be cool if they did World Adventures with each of the Barbie friends. Example:

Nikki—Barbie and the gang will go to Paris for something fashion related.

Renee—they’ll go to China to support Renee in a sports competition or something similar.

Daisy—they’ll go to Greece and probably have to deal with a historical emergency on one of the cultural landmarks.

AND of course… IF they do go that route, eventually we will land on a Barbie and KEN movie, which I am absolutely hopeful for. Because that is the perfect opportunity to give us that pay off from all the slowburn storylines they handed us. An ending where Barbie and Ken is confirmed boyfriend-girlfriend will be a dream come true (and not the determinant kind like in Epic Road Trip). I just feel like they kept on building the romance up only to shrink away at the last second in every Dreamhouse Adventure-universe arcs.

Okay so I’m assuming this new series has been made already and is going to be announced officially VERY SOON. 🙌

If it follows the pattern of the rest of the DHA-verse series (like Barbie: It Takes Two and Barbie: A Touch of Magic), then we can expect the official release sometime this Spring 2026 (and earlier in some countries), and the trailer to be posted on YouTube by February.

Although this is just MY theory hahaha, so don’t get your hopes up too high. I hope I’m correct though… so fingers crossed 🤞 😁

I’m digging for more details online but I can’t find any other preview photos or information aside from that new banner on the Barbie YouTube page. I really hope we still have the same animators and writers from Mainframe Studios, so they can keep up with the continuity of the stories/episodes in the Dreamhouse Adventures universe.

Looks like Daisy and Nikki are gonna be in this series. While Ken and Renee are returning as recurring characters. Marcus isn’t in this poster but maybe he’s still part of this.

Barbie Mysteries: Beach Detectives" is the second season of the "Barbie Mysteries" animated series, set to premiere on Netflix on August 28, 2025.

Here's a summary of what it's about:

Premise: Barbie "Malibu" Roberts and Barbie "Brooklyn" Roberts are back for another mystery-solving adventure.

Setting: This season takes place at the Malibu Beach Bash festival where the Barbies and their friends are working at food stands for the summer.

The Mystery: A series of mysterious thefts occur at the festival, and as the thefts escalate, friends begin to disappear.

The Detectives: Barbie and Brooklyn must step up to solve the case, find their friends, and stop the culprit.

New Elements: The season will feature five new original songs and introduces the character of William Warlock, an illusionist whose performances might be connected to the mystery.

This movie was alright for me. 7/10 ⭐️

I love the humor in this movie. It feels like the way the characters interact with each other is getting more and more natural again just like in Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures. When I was watching there were some scenes where I wondered if it was motion captured because the animations were so fluid.

Once again, the Brooklyn and Emmie moments made my heart squeeze. They are sooo unbelievably adorable 🥰 🩷

The MaliBrooklyn moments… hmmm i think they already fought like that before in Big City Big Dreams so I thought their fight arc was a bit redundant. But you know, still love their besties4ever energy 🤗

Wanted to see more of the Malibu squad. But I’m glad Teresa got some love. But ugghhh I still miss my boy— Ken Carson! Since the sisters are all done, if Mattel is doing Barbie + friends movies now then I am praying that Ken and Barbie have a solo movie too. I feel like if that happens we can finally canonize what relationship they have. Awww, I hope we can see more of him soon. I really do miss that boy 😭

Also, kinda hoping for a new series still set the vlogverse. But I’m still excited for the continuation of the Barbie Mysteries series to be released in the Fall.

Hi, I'm writing here because, wierdly enough, there aren't many barbie vlogverse dedicated blogs here. So I just finished season 2 of A Touch of Magic and it left me actually enraged😤😤😤 so I'm sharing my thoughts here.

I wasn't too optimistic about the first season, because I really liked the all vlog thing, just barbie being a normal teenage person and sharing her life and low stakes adventures with the web, so I wasn't too enthusiastic about the introduction of the fantasy element (that we also had with the previous mermaid movies). Anyway, I actually ended up liking the first season a lot! The fantasy stuff wasn't too over the top, and it still left lots of space for the regular stuff to happen. Also I LOVE Rocky, she kinda reminds me of Peridot.

The second season however, it was like a fantasy bomb. like...what??? wheen?? howw?? Its like, one of those instances ehen you feel like everything and nothing happened simultaneously. But the worst part of it all is that the baited us with the biggest barbie/ken development only to take that away immediately, and it is never discussed or continued ever in the second season.🤌🏻

I really hope we get to have a new season that's a bit more similar to Dreamhouse Adventures, but with Brookling of course♥️

It would be very cool if they could go to college, but unfortunately I don't think that's ever going to happen😩

Those were my exact thoughts with the BarbiexKen story arc in A Touch of Magic. Like why edge us the entire 1st season then give us nothing in the next season?!??? 😤😡

Also I feel like they gave Leo too much plot and screen time, when it really should have been given to Rocky or even the Malibu squad instead. I don’t know how bringing in a new character and giving him a whole storyline made sense to the writers seeing as they still have their old characters to potentially use.

I miss the old Dreamhouse Adventures episodes and the Barbie Youtube vlogs too. I miss the gang just living their teenage lives and going on silly wholesome adventures together ♥️

In the first four episodes of Barbie Mysteries, there was a many "suspicious" moments between Malibu and Brookly, but this was reduced on the last four episodes. Maybe some animators ship them, but halfway through the season they were reminded that Malibu and Barbie are just best friends
